Wonderful environment--comfortable bed, lovely room, great building design that provides both privacy and shared areas (living room, kitchen area), private entrance with key; fantastic food; many special details help create a relaxing experience

The owners made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. They personalized our stay and attended to our every need until the moment we left. My daughter was sick with a cold and they were patient with and kind toward her.

Privacy and comfort - from the welcome cookies in the room to the snacks to the awesome smoothies at breakfast - everything is designed for your comfort and convenience.

So many things to like: Gene the innkeeper (so gracious and informative); gourmet breakfast; amenities, i.e., robes, slippers, fridge filled with soft drinks, in-room homemade cookies (yummy) and chocolates; spacious B&B. Gene upgraded us to the master suite with private bath because of double booking of twin bed room.

Booking.com gave the option to use American Express, which I did; however Acorn B&B does not except AmEx. Fortunately, the innkeeper contacted me via phone and email, in advance, to inform me of payment options - had to use Mastercard.

The decor was very homey and the breakfast was delicious. Very welcoming. We were given the suite since it was our anniversary which was a wonderful surprise.

Comfortable relaxing stay in country setting but close to major attraction. Well appointed rooms & delicious breakfasts. The hosts were very welcoming & had excellent knowledge of the area. Highly recommended.

The breakfast was 5 star,the owners very and helpful,location to biltmore is good just a short drive,

The hosts were the best! Friendly and knowledgeable about the area, exquisite attention to details, and treating us like royalty.

Did not like the overly scented linens. One of us actually had a skin reaction, suspect the fabric softener. I am sure if we realized this at the time the hosts would have graciously given us fresh laundered linens.

Gene and Bob made us feel at home. Breakfast was fantastic and waking up to the birds chirping and the beauty of nature was extremely refreshing.

Was not to sure when we pulled up to the entrance, but we took a chance and stayed overnight. Let me just say that the charm of this place was nothing but excellent. The room was great, very quiet , clean, and inviting. The breakfast was very good, had a good presitation and we meet some wonderful people. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Joe and Nancy Kidf

Needs to be marked better, hard to find without a GPS

My stay was great! Gene was welcoming and accomadating. I felt at home the whole time, which is sometimes rare at a B&B. Comfortable bed and amenities.

Innkeepers were extremely friendly, professional and eager to please. Wonderful attention to details. We would recommend this b&b to friends!

Dal primo momento di benvenuto ti senti a casa, l'accoglienza è sensazionale. Gene ti mette a tuo agio in ogni modo possibile ed è anche un cuoco fantastico. La colazione è stata la migliore che abbiamo avuto in tanto tempo. La nostra camera aveva un letto king size molto confortevole, la camera era ben curata e ben pulita. Divideva il bagno con un'altra camera, che però la notte in cui abbiamo soggiornato era libera quindi avevamo l'uso esclusivo. Quello sarebbe eventualmente stato l'unico inconveniente, ma dispongono comunque di altre due camera con bagno privato. Un posto che sicuramente consiglio e nel quale senza dubbio tornerò se dovessi essere ancora da quelle parti.

De B&B was voor ons wat moeilijk te vinden. Er staat maar een kleine aanduiding op de brievenbus.

The service really amazing! We felt in home! Everything was very very clean. The breakfast was so tasty. We really recommend it! We want to go back!

This place was perfect! There were a bunch of little above and beyond touches that made this place feel like home away from home. Gene is a genuine, sweet man with an incredible gift in the kitchen! He was also very thoughtful and attuned to his guests' needs. It was a joy to stay here.

Enjoyed the breakfast. Gene was an amazing host and very knowledgeable about the location and things to do in the city.

The proprietors were very helpful and great people. Carefully decorated with attention to every detail. Relaxing. The breakfasts were awesome, loads to eat.

Not much going on in Mills River itself, but that said, it was convenient to other towns in the area without being in a noisy location.
