Located a 2-minute walk from Union Square and a classic Cable Car stop, this San Francisco hotel is in the heart of downtown San Francisco's shops, galleries and restaurants.

Peaceful. Right on a smaller arm of the bay. We sat on porch watching cyclists and fish jumping. Would recommend the jr. Suites. The breakfast was much better than usual hotel breakfast. 5:00 wine and cheese was another very pleasant touch along with warm cookies. Wendy was very helpful and cheerful. Easy access to Saucalito, redwoods and other sights. Nice.
Staff helping with all Breakast Rooms Price vs. room All fine actually
modern decoration, friendly staff,easy-found at a peaceful bay while can reach SF within 5 min driving.
Everything was great. Location, only 15-20 min drive from/to SF. Hotel surrounded by water, free and available parking, wifi is excellent, great breakfast, quiet and cozy room, free rental of bicycles, great staff, ... Thank you ... Will definitely come again.
Breakfast Wine Reception Free Wi-Fi Bicycles
Breakfast late in being put out 2 of the 5 days. Had the desk arrange a 4:30 AM shuttle to airport. Checked and reconfirmed -- taxi arrived at 5:00 AM.
Lovely view; great location. The hotel is about an hour from San Francisco in heavy traffic. Complimentary Happy Hour and the beautiful and plentiful breakfast were a plus. The staff was very kind and helpful.
No restaurant or bar.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Acqua Hotel. It is well located and has a welcoming ambience. The Happy Hour was fun and we were able to enjoy the other guests. Breakfast was superb. We could' task for more pleasant amenities.
We missed a lighted magnifying mirror in the bathroom and a bit more light over the sink would be helpful.
Location was convenient and lovely at the same time. Staff couldn't have been better. Bed most comfy and breakfast excellent; the 24 hour coffee bar is a wonderful addition and so convenient. We enjoyed the relaxing wine, cheese & fruit time before going out for dinner later. Service was excellent.
My husband has MS and is unable to walk on his own; there are some ADA issues that need to be improved. The main entrance is uneven and sloping which makes using a walker very difficult; this made it necessary to use a power scooter (a power wheel chair could also manage this). Also there was a bathtub and not an open shower and no seat anywhere in the tub or bathroom. My husband was therefore unable to take a shower during our 2-day stay.
Beuatiful setting, upscale amenities
Wonderful stay fantastic staff and wonderful breakfast.
There was nothing not to like. Maybe put a plexiglass wall up to block the wind on the eating deck...
Excellent breakfasts and wine &cheese. Great views from our room showing the fog rolling in, fantastic.
Lack of options for eating in the evening, within walking distance
Everyone was soooo nice! The wine/cheese, cookies and breakfast The daybed in the room The free bikes! The location
Breakfast was delicious Very helpful staff with a lot of good recommendations Room was clean and bed was comfortable
No shade outside to enjoy the views and gardens on a very sunny day
Upon arrival, we were told that we received an upgrade to a bigger room.. The staff (Genevieve) was Amazing and very very welcoming. This was truly an experience.
That we had to leave.
the hotel is located on the bay and you were able to take a walk or bicycle around the hotel area. excellent breakfast.
Is this what Zen feels like? Maybe Feng Shui? Something in the air...? The architecture, atmosphere, staff infused a comforting, even rejuvenating experience as if they were one with the surrounding mist and lifting fog.
Since there's an exception to everything... the over stuffed pillows - perfect for propping up to relax or read a book were not good for sleeping. I pushed mine off of my bed to sleep.
modern and clean rooms and building, decent breakfast buffet, good bicycles, good location to get into town by car, free parking
hotel is directly located next to the freeway, however rooms are on the other side of the building facing the waterside and there's very little no from the freeway in buidling or rooms
In general a very nice hotel. Comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff and an excellent breakfast.
-Excellent location - easy to access SF as well as Muir Woods, Sonoma, Saulsalito, Tiburon, etc. - Nice wine and cheese event each evening. - Rooms were kept clean (except for carpet - see other comment). - Good breakfast buffet (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc). - Nice roof-top patio (though it was too cold and windy to enjoy). -Very helpful and accommodating staff. -Well maintained landscaping with lavender and other plants. -A few restaurants within walking distance. -Bikes available for guests (no charge) to ride around the area.
-Dirty carpet in our room - within 5 minutes white socks were not so white on the bottoms. -Parking, while always available, is somewhat disjointed.
We loved the big breakfast and the big spa bath
We didn't like the extra bed that we ordered in advanced It was uncomfortable The children were disappointed that the bike the hotel offers are only from the age 15 It wasn't mention in advance
Friendly staff, good location. Full breakfast, wine and cheese mid afternoon. What's not to like!
The breakfast meals were fantastic. Everything about this hotel was superb.
I liked the premises and the view, both from the room and the dining area. Breakfast was very good, and amenities at the room were really nice. The room was very spacious and the bed, very comfortable. You can find coffee or tea at the lobby, which is very convenient when you arrive late in the evening. The distance to San Francisco is very short and it is very easy to get there from the hotel.
The hotel does not have any food to offer (a bar, a minibar, etc) in the evening, so if you are planning to arrive after 9 pm, you'd better have had dinner before. Or you will need to wait till breakfast to eat something. As per the lobby staff, you cant find restaurants open till late around the hotel. The main disadvantage of my stay is that my room was located next to the dining area (almost IN the dining area), so at 6:30am the place was already very noisy and I could not sleep anymore. So please, if you go to Acqua Hotel, do not accept room 203. It is impossible to sleep after 6:30am.
The location, which was in between San Francisco and Sonoma, free parking, nice staff, water view, complimentary coffee, tea and wine.
The rooms were somewhat outdated (but very clean) and the TV reception was not good.
