I go to San Francisco for work every 2 months. I think this is the worst hotel within that price range I stay so far. The bed is terrible.

The staff and cleaning personell were very friendly and helpful. It was blocks away from Union Square, nice shopping center, big stores, other turist attractions and Bart Station. It was a lock away the tenderloin, it seemed kind of dangerous to walk at night.

The location was about as good as it got... That itself wasn't even that great. Be sure to encounter drug dealers and hobos the second you walk out the door! The room stank of stale urine and was muggy. Way over priced!

The hotel is located in a good area, close to Nob Hill, Union Square and the Civil center and that has very good public transport connections to any place in the city. The area has some homeless people on the streets, but not too many to disturb you (however if you walk the streets adjacent to Geary, you shall see much more). My room was on the last floor and had everything I needed and most of all was incredibly quiet. The breakfast was almost nonexistent: tea/cofee, a muffin, bread and gem and a banana.

Although it is an old bulding the room was big and clean. Location is good for city travellers, however, a bit dangerous. Also the breakfast was very limited for the price they charged.

The location. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. The staff really helpful. The walls were painted with ugly motifs, the room view was bad and there was no air conditioning system.

Very courteous staff, good location and comfy bed. Quiet location too and nice bathroom. No fresh milk at breakfast for coffee! That was quite annoying actually and would be easy for hotel to fix.

Located ideally near Union Square. Room with bath en-suit was clean and prize for one night was ok. A bit noisy although the room faced the court. Overall a good deal for a couple of nights in San Francisco. It lacks in atmosphere and style. Personnel at the desk friendly but quite "cold" and the rooms quite anonymous. Breakfast is a joke: you get it "standing" in the lobby. Only coffee or tea (when I arrived at 800 am only Decaf) ant toasts!

The hotel was close to Union Square, which is a very central point of San Francisco. Breakfast was really poor (contained toast bread - butter - jam, bananas, some cupcakes and orange juice/coffee).

“I like small hotels and this one was great. On arrival I was able to upgrade to a larger room without fuss. I liked the wine and cheese happy hour on the mezzanine in the evening, and the complimentary breakfast was a bonus. The Millennium restaurant downstairs was superb.” Phil, South Yarra |
