Location The service was unfriendly. WiFi service was very bad: low signal/slow speed. I had to work for a few hours during the weekend I stayed there and ended up working in the lobby because "the signal is strong here". I don't remember seeing an employee smile. If you come here, go down early for the breakfast as everything is put away at 9:45 am. Also, the breakfast was evidently cheap.

Location and price. Aesthetics of entrance and lobby (paint, furniture, seating, etc.). With a little upgrade, the hotel would communicate a welcoming, clean, and contemporary feel.

I stayed in the hotel for 10 days and my stay was very comfortable, I asked for quiet room and it was really such. The only disturbance which was is some noise from heating system, but it wasn't annoying and long and too loud ventilation in bathroom, but it could be turned off. Internet was good, location as well - 5min walk from Union square. I stayed in different hotels in this area previously and would like to say that this is the best in terms of quality and price in this area. Poor breakfast, I think it will be good to add at least some cheese or flakes with milk. Elevator was very slow and broke once, it will be great to fix this problem.

The staff was friendly 100 $ deposit that I was told I had leave at check in. Elevator, with a 3 person capacity, then broke down !!! complementary breakfast was stale eggo waffles, bread and bananas. The bed was hard did not get a decent night sleep. To top it off we were charged twice for one night of parking still waiting on that refund.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this one was very clean. All of the staff were friendly except for one woman. I had plenty of towels and soap at my disposal. Well located. Free Wi-Fi! Nothing got stolen. I arrived late but before the front doors were locked - there was a drunk/ drugged out guy who had his shoes off and was trying to sleep on the sofa in the foyer - the receptionist didn't seem able to do much about him. The walls are pretty thin. The street noise is very noticeable. The elevator can only hold 3 people? Breakfast was only toast, a choice of 3 jams and coffee, tea and/ or juice (the Bananas had run out). I'm an average sized guy (maybe a little on the biggish side) and I found sitting on the toilet a "cosy" experience.

Basic but well managed in a great location. Hotel had all faciliities you need - rooms small but well maintained and clean. Lobby guest computer out of order therefore couldn't print boarding pass - staff not much help in addressing this or finding an alternative option. Bananas only fruit available for breakfast.

All the wall murals, some with frames around them -- even though the paintings were right on the walls! Our room was about as sound-proof as possible; they don't make accoms with such solid materials anymore! Yeah. Heating is by steam radiator, with the whole facility under the same system. Our rad started hissing and popping at about 2 a.m. and kept at it for a couple of hours --- which were sleepless ones. Grrr. When we went down to ask what could be done.......no one was at the desk (another throw-back to the olden days?). Grrr. Another "grrr" goes to the wi-fi connection, which was prohibitively slow; we gave up after about 20 minutes of getting next to nothing, and with long delays involved. We had thought about a second night there, but scrapped that after failing to slaughter the noisy radiator. GRRRR!

They allowed us to leave our bags in their storage room before we checked in and after we checked out before our flights. It is nice and close to several bus lines and in walking distance of BART.

Location was very good, close to Union Square and amenites and hotel reasonably was priced for San Francisco. Room was comfortable. Beware the airport transfer service - the hotel offered to arrange this for us at a cost of $45. The driver arrived, who didn't seem like a taxi driver, just some guy with a minivan, and drove us to sfo. When we arrived at the terminal he informed us the cost was now $55, plus tip. When we explained to the driver that we were quoted a cost of $45, he told us that we must have 'misheard'. He seemed like an untrustworthy individual, so when staying at Hotel Adante it may be better to arrange your own transport to the airport.

Somehow our reservation was lost at another place so we stayed here just around from the other hotel. Luckily they had space available though it was two twin beds. Still seemed expensive for the comfort level/age of the room, though it was clean. There was a continental breakfast with good coffee. Could not get enough ventilation even with the window open. The fan kept turning off because it was on a motion sensor switch. The continental breakfast was exactly the same day after day - some variation in the fruit or bread would have been nice.

Unprofessional staff, nasty, smelly, rickety old elevator. Old dilapidated building. Useless ceiling fan. Pretty much everything about our stay there was underwhelming to say the least.

I always wanted to stay in A boutique hotel and they are expensive so I least expected to get this beauty at the price I did, A stone'S throw from union square. this hotel has lovely exotic birds and scenery on their walls, in corridors and rooms. the twin beds were A good size and comfortable. it is ridiculously convenient and we were able to see all the hotspots as tourists, without wasting too much on taxi because of the central location. the only criticism is about the morning breakfast. if A hotel provides cereal which requires microwave warming, they must have bowls that can go into A microwave ! oatmeal has to be warmed ! adante did not have the bowls. there was one set of toaster for bread which caused A long queue because that was the only thing A health conscious person can eat, in the absence of cereal provision. toasters dont cost all that much. if you are so eco friendly as to advise customers to not use towels if possible, then you must have healthy breakfast options, since you are attracting A 'boutique' crowd.
