Cleanliness Curtain for bed Great free breakfast Good location A shelf for my stuff next to the bed
Only 2 toilets with actual toilets (the others were only showers) on each floor which did get a little annoying at times
Good for money
Staff are not sympathetic
Good position lovely staff
-it's cheap -place -staff -food -attractions
-near are too many homeless people -it's hard to find it
Scary bunker bed..esp. top on Hard to climb up Almost fell
There are alot of activities to get involved with so if you want company just go and join in on the fun! And if you want privacy then there are curtains on every bed! Perfect :)
Good breakfast (choice of bagels, breads and lots of spread, fruit, tea and coffee Excellent cooking facilities (oven, grill, microwave and lots of hobs) Tea and coffee available all day 6 bed dorm was comfortable and each bed has privacy curtains surrounding it Very helpful, knowledgable staff Great location, easy walking distance to all major attractions.
Rooms were dated and a little damp, had to either sleep with the window open and put up with the noise of city traffic or sleep I. A stuffy room.
Staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. Best hostel staff I've experienced.
Not providing proper towels and requiring guests to clear their own beds. For over $60/night to sleep in a room with 7 other strangers the cost was a bit much for the lack of service. When I arrived, someone was sleeping in my bed. Fortunately, the guy and staff handled it fast but still it was a pain in the ass at 3am.
The staff wasn't prepared to give me information of how to get to some places, but some tried to help.
Great atmosphere, lots of activities

Rooms were good and relatively comfortable, social events on every evening if you choose. Not too noisy considering location.
It's cleanliness, staffs were very helpful, and a free breakfast!!!
Small bathroom, loud noice from the people outside the street specially at night
The hostel is located near Union Square and quite easy for us to take bus / cable car to anywhere else in San Francisco. Privacy on each bed in the dorm. The environment is quiet in dorm and respecting each other. The breakfast provided is the best that I have in any hostels that I have stayed in. They have varieties of bread, bagels and fruits.
The top bed is quite high when compared to other hostels that I have stayed in. Quite difficult to get up there. Limited number of bathroom.
friendly and helpful staff, very nice shared kitchen with a patio, a 3-minute walk from Union Square, cozy lounge with all the necessary documentation
A little dusty
All, i felt good
The bed are bad
I loved everything about this hostel! The location is great, the bathrooms are always clean, the bedroom was very quiet and offers some privacy with the curtains in each bead, your own reading light and plugs. The breakfast includes a variety of breads and bagels and fruit, it's filling and helps save money. They can also give you a 50% discount to rent a bike with a rental company which is an awesome way to discover the city. The staff is helpful and kind, Teresa was great and always had cool recommendations to eat and visit. The common area is charming, with a vintage style and huge sofas to hang around. They offer 6 computers with fast internet, and the wifi works too.
People there are quite nice. Location is perfect, you can reach almost every sight on foot.
The bed and doors are old and noise. When anybody in the room is doing something, it'll just make you cannot fall in sleep.
I really enjoyed my stay! It's one of the best Hostels I've been staying! I loved the curtains on every bed! it gives a lot of privacy! The living room is very comfy and the staff is super friendly and there is always someone there! The free (!) breakfast was great! I could even make some hot chocolate =) I really recommend this Hostel!!
Nothing major. It was a bit expensive for a Hostel in general but San Francisco is a expensive city and i heard that the price is alright for the city.
Centrally located Friendly staff Lots of scheduled activities At home atmosphere Owner on site daily Great breakfast
Just a cool place. Book it ... no brainer.
Awesome Staff ! Great help Great breakfast (better than any other hostel in SF apparently according to many travelers)
helpful staff, cozy common areas, complimentary breakfast, good value for money in an expensive city
rooms smelled a bit musty
As a hostel is bit expensive, but the money worth it all! Common areas are beautiful, amazing breakfast, the place is clean, a lot of activity to do and I met a lot of great people! Feeling like home! Fantastic!
