did not have to move the car once we arrived! walk to all!!
facilities less than expected (compared to photo ads) parking was challenging on site. signing up for breakfast?
It is extremely convenient to all the activities in Newport, but very quiet street.
its a bit pricey, but that is Newport in the Summer...
The Inn was good, parking and location terrific. The breakfast was good, staff eager to help but young and not as expereinced. It was a good value
The husekeeper on my floor was more involved on her cell phone, did an okay job cleaning my room. Disconnected the air conditioner, did not remove a cup from previous day. There was no common sitting area that is often found in a B&B
Location, location, location! Admiral Farragut and it's sister Inns are well maintained, competently staffed, and an excellent value. Free off-street parking? In Newport? Unheard of! The included and delicious full breakfast was such a treat. Keep in mind that these properties are centuries old... They aren't level, the rooms aren't huge, and the bathrooms aren't marble and glass. If you're looking for that head to Vegas. The quirks and history are what make the stay special. The innkeeper is a sharp and conscientious guy with a great New England wit. He treated us very well and we really enjoyed his candor.
The street and not enough parking
Great place to stay! Conveniently located, close to everything. Clean and comfy room. Although we did have a visit from a ghost..
Very nice place to stay.
Staff was very helpful directing us to various restaurants and bars as well as advice about what to do and see while in Newport.
Small but comfotable room was a little overpowered by the smell of paint from the common room. Breakfast was a little confused we were moved from one building to another to eat.
Location and cleanliness
breakfast was THE worst we ever have experienced in a B&B. Other than eggs, all else was terribly made and out of the box mix.
We were given the key to our room and when we opened the door the linens hadn't been changed, the bed was unmade, and there were used towels and cups all over the room. They did give us a different room, but I would think that the rooms should be checked prior to handing out keys.
Horrible B@B,ripping expirience They charge 300dol/1night for horrible condition house with no AC,broken furniture, dusty room, broken toilet, felt like got trapped by beeking .com I realy want my money back and asked other people not even try to go there For this money Hyatt or Viking Hotel even no comparison
Location and staff were excellent.
Bed was very hard, heater didn't work, the floor was slanted, and the room very small- we couldn't open the closet.
The breakfast was great. The location is one block from downtown.
The hallway smelled badly. The jets on the tube didn't work. The decorating could have been better. The price was too high. There was no lounge or outside patio to sit and relax. There was no view.
Close to everything
Really wasn't clean. Ceiling tiles had mold on them and were painted over. Jacuzzi tub was gutted and shell left behind to shower in. Faucet did not come out far enough for the sink.
Place had character, fits the newport scene. Perfect service by the staff.
Parking was bit limited due to busy weekend, but was handled well by the staff.
Great location, had nice rooms available
Our room was not very kept/designed compared to other b&b's I've stayed at in Newport. There were two bags of dirty laundry left outside our door the entire time. Overall it was very expensive for what we got.
I enjoyed the history and the mansion tours.
comfy beds, helpful staff
dirty carpets, dirty stairs, needed painting. The lock on our bedroom door was installed wrong. Blinds on our window fell apart when we tried to open them. Horribly over-priced for what we received.
Location was good walking distance to all the restaurants and port. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size.
We travel for 3 months a year, we thought an Inn would have an old fashioned, homely hospitable atmosphere, yet this was to the contrary. There was no greeting or assistance or indication of where reception was, we would be still looking if a fellow guest hadn't helped . Bfast atmosphere was subdued. you could order a cooked breakfast, but the cold bfast table was minimal. There was no cereal. Fruit salad was watermelon and rockmelon, with a few grapes thrown in..(on one of our 3 days). Yogurt was available one day, not the next two, bananas available one day, bowl was empty the next. Bread and coffee were often empty, only refilled on request. Everyone was crammed in and the atmosphere was quiet as if no one was enjoying the experience. It just seemed that for over $800 for 3 nites, they gave the impression they were going to spend the absolute minimum. Disappointing.
We thought the Inn was tired and needs a makeover. Very expensive for what we got.
Bed comfortable. Fresh linens daily.
No common area in house. In our room there was no container for ice, and no glasses in room. No hair dryer. No comfortable seating in room - only 2 wooden kitchen chairs. Only 2 hooks in room to hang clothes; closet not wide enough for hangers. Breakfast was simple foods off of menu + make your own toast, serve your own watermelon, pour your own juice & coffee. Had to wait for others to leave to have a table to sit at. No prior instructions given on how breakfast was to be served - only - "when do you want it?" House was never locked. Innkeepers were at house next door?
Great location in Newport.
Wasn't impressed for $300 a night.
Location was excellent to walk everywhere Very nice staff Excellent breakfast
One room was small and very dark. One small dim bulb in bathroom, impossible to do makeup. No closet/ no where to hang clothes. The other room was larger and brighter but had no towel racks anywhere!
Location was great, staff was very friendly.
Few things need to be fixed. In the bathroom there was no any hooks or towel hangers. it was very inconvinient.
room and breakfast serving.
