Friendly staff but very minimal facilities and not cheap. We booked what was advertised as a suite and was not (despite claims of living room and dining room only separate room was kitchenette with no coffee machine). Everything very tired and tv did not work. The accomodation was unsuitable and we booked into a hotel with a real suite and real facilities for only a little more. This is not a 4 star hotel. |

The lobby looks very old (especially the curtains behind the front desk). We booked a junior suite with a bedroom, living room, dining area, and a kitchen through booking.com but we were given a one-room suite. The bathroom was too small and furniture was dusty. The kitchen fridge had scratches all over and the kitchen cabinets were made from aluminum and they were dusty too! When we objected the front desk was not helpful till the manager got involved (who we thank a lot), we were given a better room (I don’t know why we were not given this room from the beginning!). All 2 beds suite (including the 2 we stayed in) are located near the service storage cabinet. The cleaning ladies start slamming the cabinet door from 6 am, very frequently! Heating system “automatically” works when temperature reaches 42 F (5 C) regarding of how cold the guests feel. When we asked for extra blankets and pillows, the blanket had holes and the guy who got them to us was very rude and picking his nose while getting them to us, of course we refused to take them! One day the water was cut off of the entire hotel for around an hour. We then were given a really small heater. No free Internet access and the wireless was not available on all floors. When we asked to get the wireless after we moved to the other room, we’ve been told that we will be charged again!! Also, they charge you per computer! What’s good about the hotel: location, recycling awareness, and free Internet access to airlines website and boarding pass printing. |

Very responsive staff, good location. They upgraded me up to a junior suite and that was very nice but it since it had two smaller beds I asked to be downgraded to a room with a king size bed and they were very quick about finding me another room. Also, they had a free wine and snacks in the evening in their lounge which was nice. My room had two different lights not work and the iron didn't work. Also, I stayed in Room 501 and there was something inside the wall that was very hot (the wall felt extremely hot) and as a result the room was very hot. I had the air conditioner as cool as it would but the room was still very hot. Luckily it was a cool evening so I opened the window but if it had summer it would have been pretty miserable. |

All round this was a very pleasant stay - clean and tidy with helpful staff and a good location close to the Rock and other key sites in New York. I fully reccomend this hotel for City visits My only 2 criticisms are; 1) Facilities - a bar would have made for a better trip and the chance to dine there maybe. 2) This is being ultra critical as the hotel was clean and well maintained in general, but perhaps a re-decoration of the room soon, to freshen it up a little. However i do not wish this to seem like an unhappy stay - it was a very pleasant hotel generally |

The location is excellent, rooms are spacious and clean, very well equipped for the business traveller. Although optional, breakfast is not worth the money they are charging. |

My room was huge and very clean. Nothing fancy but good enough for a hotel room to sleep in. I was living in the 2nd floor which meant my room was right next to the common area. I would hear kids and people talking in the morning. |

The size of the room and location were both excellent. The staff and cleanliness of our room were also of a high standard. The management were a pleasure to deal with. Subway and great food just around the corner. Wish we were still there. |

Rooms were quite big, not as big as promised in the reservationsform though, but it was a clean, nice, moderate hotel, little bit overpriced. They should mention somewhere that breakfast is not available during weekends and that nothing works, everything is broken, the air-conditioning, phone, no hair-dryer in the room, etc. I would say that I am not going to stay there ever again, not worth the money. Sorry, poorest of the booking.com hotels I have been. There was the room, but nothing else. No bar, no place to buy any beveridges, the elevators were always full and it took a long time to get up and down, the location was not so great, not what promised. Why do you always have to make things sound a little bit better than it is??? Why not tell the truth? I liked the bed and the roomsize, service, what service?? |

Very friendly and professional service staff. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. It is close to the shopping belt yet not too busy and crowded. Convenient with some tourist sites, food outlets and subway nearby. Though we were on the 9th floor, we could still hear the traffic noise very clearly. The beds were very comfortable but we still cannot get a good night's sleep due to the noise. The room is a little dim at night and it would be useful to have an electric water boiler in each room. The appliances are rather old and not so congruent with the standard of the hotel. |

The location and the spaciousness of the rooms make this hotel a great bargain, especially in Manhattan. It would be nice to have an on-site restaurant for breakfast. |

Great hotel, very comfortable stay. Staff are efficient and helpful, rooms are spacious, well appointed and clean with good facilities. Good location, can walk to MOMA easily and walk to central Times Square or even Central park (20 mins), safe area to walk at night. Close to subway. Can be a little noisy when you get a room on the lower floor (was on 4th floor), you can hear traffic and endless delivery trucks some nights. Also would have liked a kettle in the room for a cup of tea or coffee in morning or evening. Overall a good stay though. |

The location was great and the most of the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly. For the first night of our stay we did not get the room type that we had booked (there was no dining table and chairs as stated in our reservation confirmation). We had to print out our booking confirmation for the person on reception to prove that we had not been given the room as described yet even then she was quite reluctant to offer us an alternative. We were given a room that better resembled what we had booked the following night and for the remainder of our stay but no apology was offered for the initial confusion. |

The rooms were much larger than expected. The staff seemed at times inexperienced. The service was good, but could have been more attentive and professional. This would have taken my experience from good to outstanding. |
