We're experienced travelers and see many hotels every year. In this hotel, things really worked fast, smoothly and always to our full expectation: from valet parking over guest services to the check out process. It seems to be a truly professionally managed hotel. We appreciated furthermore the modern design and the inovative cuisine of the hotel restaurant. Our room (and others we could glance into) was really spacious including the bathroom. Now to the main point: excellent location. We sure enjoyed our days in Chicago thanks to this great hotel. (By the way: The hotel organised us a great babysitter in virtually no time!). Front desk and concierge staff could sometimes be just a tiny little bit friendlier (but we were there on a very busy weekend). Other staff though all really friendly.

Good location. Bus 151 goes up & down Michigan Avenue, a block from hotel. Clean rooms & bathroom. Good exercise room. Excellent AC. Room doors very thin - noise travels from rooms opposite and from corridor. Lighting in rooms not great - lots of lights but no central one. Reception was small and seating area was dirty & is in need of a refurb. Only two lifts to serve floors 7 to 29. Reception staffs' idea of greeting guests in the morning was to shout loudly across reception to ask "Where are you going today?". No security to stop anyone accessing upper floors.

Nice comfortable hotel with friendly staff, Great location for Michigan Avenue shops. Occasionally noisy as hotel is close to major hospital that has emergency vehicles arriving and leaving 24 hours a day.

Very clean and comfortable, excellent location. Proximity to hospital leads to frequent ambulance sirens, especially at night.

It is really well located for N Michigan, and for my favourite breakfast place, the Corner Bakery. The open air rooftop bar is pretty cool and just what you need when you have been on a plane all day Dinner from the restaurant via room service was appalling. Initially I ordered the ravioli, which was listed under 'Big Plates' . Well, yes, the plate itself was big but the six pieces of ravioli were more like a stater than a main course! It tasted nice but I was still hungry. The lady on room service was very nice and said all their mains were that size. She took it off the bill and I ordered roast chicken with a side of fries to be on the safe side. What I got I would have been ashamed to serve in a school canteen. A boneless, skinless, flavourless breast of chicken taht was so tough it must surely have been cooked in the microwave. How hard can roast chicken be? (and you can take that either way)

Location was perfect, very near shopping avenue and restaurants They don't use a cover for the duvet, They simply but it between two sheets which can get annoying during the night. Also our duvet hat some blood stains on it.

The restaurant was great, and we loved the small desserts. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I was disappointed by the size of the room. It did not meet my expectations. For the same price I could have stayed at a larger hotel with more facilities and had a better experience.

Unique room decor (the headboard, zebra wood furniture and general color scheme); gorgeous restaurant (the copper globe light fixtures are stunning and the music was spot-on); the city view; the copper gilt wall treatment, vanity area and lighted mirrors in the bathroom; the Philosophy bath products; the hotel staff in general If McDonalds is able to offer free Wi-Fi - then a luxury boutique hotel shouldn't be charging guests (who are paying a lot of money to stay there, even at a discounted rate) $10/day for that service.

The hotel was in a good location for the City and lake shore, the restaurant was very good, the fitness facilities were very good, the room facilities including the bed and bathroom were very good, an all round good value offer. The noise, we had room 706 that overlooked the service road for the buildings with nose starting early in the morning - 4am - the windows were single glazed providing no soundproofing or insulation against the cold air. In future I would insist in a room on the higher floors. The wifi was $9.95 a day with frequent loss of connection and poor download speed - 3G was quicker at times.

Staff were nice, room was nice. Charge for use of internet/wifi. This seemed ridiculous to me tacked on top of everything else and I would not have stayed here bcs of it, but one of my colleagues really wanted this location. Between 3 of us, we spent $50 on internet--now that's crazy, more than a monthly bill for the service. And your business center was also ridiculously priced--I needed to print something so had to pay to log onto your computer and then pay per page for my printing--crazy and "cheap", considering the quality of the hotel.

Excellent location, a minute or two from all the shopping on Michigan Avenue and in the vicinity of many restaurants and other shops. The room was smallish, but fitted out very nicely and quite comfortable. Breakfast wasn't included in the price (something which isn't uncommon in the us but is still disappointing), and one has to pay extra for wireless internet.

Good location - quite close to Magnificent Mile. Modern spacious room. Almost nothing. Just parking is quite expensive (36$ per night) as in all big cities

Staff was very courteous, friendly, and helpful. The room was large, clean, and upscale. Eventhough our room was on the ninth floor facing E. Superior Ave, street noise and police/fire sirens were heard throuighout the night.

The staff was really helpful and pleasant. It was the best value in downtown that I came across. Everything was reall convenient: valet, room service/cleaning, luggage storage, etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel! There were no microwaves in the rooms.
