Bar on the 29. floor
The hotel price was fantastic, and it is literally a half a block from the Magnificent Mile, 2 Blocks from the John Hancock Tower, and only a few blocks from several train stops. It is also right next door to Gino's East Pizza which is the best Pizza joint in Chicago in my opinion. Stay here, you will not regret it.
Excellent location, comfortable, friendly staff, very cool!!
The location is very convenient.
The services can be better and improved. On rainy day, there is no umbrella available for the customers.
Proximity to central Chicago. Quietness during evening on the floor our room was located. Food and coffee/tea in the foyer in the morning (and evening) and the facilities in that area - ATM and Internet. Staff at desk and door very helpful. Can't think of anything negative to say.
Lovely helpful staff. Big comfortable room. Great location for shopping and easy walk to the sights.
The location was perfect.
The pillows weren't comfortable and the steps were ackward.
Big room & friendly staff
Expensive coffee shop in lobby & no pool
Very quiet - no outside noise or noise from other rooms. Rooftop lounge Quick breakfast and a good one. Loved the location. Convenient to transit lines and shopping Large bathroom and plenty of space overall.
Cold water tap gave hot to warm water. Never cold.
Location Size of suite Comfortable bed Original reception
Wait long for elevator Shower: cannot manage warm and cold water
location and value for money. Friendly efficient staff. Comfortable bed and nice linen.
sofa bed mattress needed replacing. bathrooms could do with a spruce up soon. Better security on front door.
It had a personal touch, a nice ease about it and the service was excellent
staff very friendly and helpful excellent location
Impossible to sleep when you hear every door on your floor slam shut and every conversation in the halls. $6.95 service charge for 'free wi-fi' is ridiculous and will prevent me from staying here again.
Location Beds are comfortable Reception is very helpful and kind Room is very large
No microwave in the room Not enough coffee-tea Not enough cups mugs There are not even paper or plastic cups Price is not that much little
Extremely good location. Michigan lake and the Hancock building are just minutes away. The city center is a bit further (15-20 minutes) but you get to walk on the posh Michigan avenue (part of the Golden mile). The hotel itself is good value for money with large and quite rooms. There is a bar in the lobby that serves Starbucks coffee and is technically the same thing. Had breakfast there once and it was good. Wi-Fi is available for FREE which is not what you see in every American hotel even in 2014.
Nothing to report
• Hip, modern lobby • Provided passes to skip the line at Gino's East • Large king suite for three with large bathroom • Large clean shower • Friendly staff
• Parking is pricey • Ferris & Jack is expensive • Took 45 minutes for them to ready the room while we waited in the lobby
location, room size
expensive cleanliness noise waiting for the elevators having to recharge the key card 2X
Great Hotel - very clean, friendly staff - great location, easy access to Transit and just steps from Magnificent Mile.
Great staff, friendly and accommodating from the time we dropped car at valet until we picked it back up to leave- Joel & Sam were particularly good. Wonderful atmosphere.
It was in a great location.
The bathroom had an odder that smelled like old mop water. I was too hot & tired when I arrives to complain to the front desk.
We arrived before check in & were greeted warmly; our bags were stored for us. When we returned our room wasn't ready so we were given a free upgrade, the room was beautiful. The beds are so comfortable & the bathrooms are huge. We chose this hotel for its location & it couldn't have been better. The shopping on the Magnificient Mile was only half a block away. Many good restaurants close by. All areas of staff were wonderful from the time we checked in until we checked out.
I would recommend a notice be put in the elevator when the rooftop lounge has a private function; it would save hotel guests some time as those elevators are busy.
Great location, we walked and took public transportation everywhere for the most part (an uber if we were running late). Great rooms and staff!
Not much I didn't like! The bar could stay open a little later I guess?! :)
It was very clean and the staff was friendly. Loved the location.
