We chose this hotel based on it's location near our daughter's apartment. We had a studio suite with 2 queen beds however, since it was only on the 4th floor (406), we didn't have much of a view but it wasn't street side so it was fairly quiet. The room is definitely spacious and while we didn't have a need for it, the kitchen was also large. Beds were very comfortable. The lobby staff was very nice. I would think this would be a great place for families because of the kitchen and enormity of the room. Now for the stuff we weren't so happy about....the plumbing in our bathroom left much to be desired. You got an unwanted face wash when you turned on the sink - the water was so forceful you really did get splashed - and the toilet was a bit tricky. Shower was decent. The worst part of our short stay was dealing with the elevators. Only one was running for a building with 37 floors. We waited one time for over 5 minutes and on several occasions took the stairs. This is n

I was on the 26th floor and had a great view of the Chrysler Building. It was beautiful to look out at night. It felt old. From the reviews, and it's ranking (70) I thought it would be newer and more modern, but it is actually 1970s old. The bathroom was not very clean. There were splattered stains on the walls. The carpet and walls seemed old.

The room was really big and had a magnificent view on the 31st floor. It had two double beds which is what we needed and they are pet friendly. Not really clean. They was tooth paste marks on the faucet and the furniture in the room really needed clening.

The things we liked most about the hotel (there are no negatives about this hotel) are the staff they are all so helpful and efficient, especially david the concierge, he gave us so much good information where to go and where to avoid,Donald Garcia the door man who helped us with a problem outside the hotel(we were trying to be overcharged for a ride to the hotel and he was there on hand). The room was a great size the kitchen is a bonus, the beds are the most comfortable we have experienced on our travels just wonderful. The location is good for bus, subway and to walk which we did a lot of.We took a bus from newark airport to grand central bus station then a taxi to the hotel 7 blocks away, and reversed this going home.being senior citizens it cost $8.00 for bus and $5.00 for taxi including tip,it was so easy. No complaints very satisfied

Loved the room, and as trivial as this may sound, your mini-bar items were very reasonably priced! Didn't like the coffee shop associated with the hotel - terrible food.

The concierge was great. Very helpful. I called for a wake up call, but never got it. Luckily I was not late for my appointment. I felt the cost was high. I paid $40 more to switch from a king bed to two beds. Too much. I will not stay again for the money. It had a kitchen, but I was not made aware of that when I booked. I would not stay again.

Great hotel. The room was clean and very big for New York; kitchenette was fantastic:full size refridgerator with freezer, stove, sink, and dishes/utensils. The closet was huge; I could have lived there for months! Murray Hill location is nice; subway 2 blocks away, plenty of restaurants within walking distance - try Marcony for Italian and Daniel's Bagels for breakfast. If you want to park your car there is a Quik Park directly across the street for $20 less per night than the hotel charges. You will not regret staying here - great find! Lobby is small and boring; There was a lot of construction outside of the hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very roomy and comfortable room. Convenient kitchenette and good tv. Construction during our stay with scaffolding in front of hotel and up the street. Not the most convenient location for our needs.

Roomy, modern, super-clean rooms, corner windows, kitchenette. Very friendly and responsive staff. Close to subway. Two beds in the room (an essential requirement for us and surprisingly hard to find in NYC) Scaffolding out front makes the exterior uninviting

We were so pleasantly surprised by your hotel. I am frequently disappointed in the New York hotels- and I cannot afford those high-end over $400 per night properties so I have to bargain hunt. I found the Affinia Dumont on the web. It was larger, cleaner, and fit all our needs perfectly. The walk to the theater district across Lexington, Park, and Madison was fun- once we went into Grand Central and caught a subway; later we learned the bus route. Your king bed was perfect. The kitchenette allowed uis to save some dough on breakfast and snacks. This was also the quietest stay in nyc I have ever had- we were on the seventh floor, and the a/c provided a nice "white noise". Unfortunately we were unable to keep the room for an entire week since you were filled, so we moved to a newer more modern hotel in Chelsea. It was cramped and expensive. I will recommend your hotel to everyone. Would have been nice if wi-fi was cheaper.

relative cheap price for a four star. Laundry on lower ground floor was really useful. less than 6$ you can have your whole load of laundry washed and dried. Room size very good. again, no free wifi. But that's just common for any four star hotel in US. lobby is quite small. decoration a bit dated. Didn't like the pillows.

I liked the view from our 20th floor room (north and east). The junior suite room was very comfortable, the double bed was really superb. The big flat screen tv was also very cool. The staff was very helpful. We got a brand new a stroller for our son for the whole week absolutelly free which was a nice gesture from the staff. The cleaning was also very precise. Some parts of the double windows were wet inside (probably a technical problem that is difficult to solve) so it ruined the beautiful view a little bit. Wifi could be a bit cheaper (or free).

Very convenient to where I needed to be for work. The Murray Hill neighborhood is pleasant with many restaurants and small shops. It is convenient for a walk to the Empire State Building or a stroll up 5th Avenue if you have the time.

The Affinia was great! We got the top floor - Junior Suite - when we walked in we had the most amazing city skyline - huge windows, Chrysler building right there. Bed was huge and comfy, Bathroom adequate and clean. Kitchen was a bit dated but suited our needs more than fine. Spacious and a joy to come back to each night after a day of pounding NYC pavements! The only gripe is that the wifi isnt free and adds up in cost over a week.

Where do you get a room in midtown Manhattan for $139. In addition to the amazing rate, this hotel is modern, spotless, has large rooms with kitchens (it was nice to have a full size fridge), marble baths and the most outrageously comfortable beds. This hotel is on the east side of midtown, which may be a little out of the way for some but if you know the turf, it's a 5 minute side step. The advantage is it's in a residential area which is far more quiet at night and there's a large 24 hour drug store / market directly across the street! The staff is very friendly and professional and there's a good restaurant adjacent to the property. They are also very pet friendly, and had a couple of dozen Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show participants as guests. We had a great stay!
