The lobby area was small but had a small side room with a couple of sofas with TV area. Hotel could use some updating. Elevator was dirty.adequate
The location was important to me. Even though I did not use it, there was a small kitchenette with a refrigerator which also included kitchen utensils, etc. The terrace outside our room was nice to have.

-Very small bathroom with weak air refreshing. - never ask for a taxi driver from the hotel staff. They will charge you 3 times. We asked to move only 4km inside manhatten. They chareged us $ 50 !! - never use debit card with this hotel. They charged me for 6 nights as i booked but i staied only two nights and the worst thing is that they dont know when they will refund my rest of money !!! - the hotel rooms are very expensive compaing with others hotels with better options and quality.
Location was not bad near to good restaurants and groceries and pharmacies. Staff are ok. The room is good size for 3 adults.

There were only a couple of hiccups in our stay at this hotel. The hotel offers grocery delivery service and I had asked for a modified version of the kitchen comfort bites which unfortunately wasn't done. We did not realize that the hotel heating and cooling system is seasonal. when we arrived Saturday night the room was stuffy and uncomfortable, trying to adjust the thermostat on what we thought with air conditioning didn't work. turned out their heating and cooling system had not been switched over. Our only choices were heat, no heat or open the windows and use the box fans that the doorman brought up. Having the windows open meant street noise and the possibility of bugs getting in since there were no window screens. Another note the Wi-Fi is $14.95 per day, per device, so three people with three devices would have been $44.85.
I loved the location of this hotel. It is tucked into a quaint New York neighborhood, far enough away from Manhattan to be quiet but close enough to get to all of the places people go to New York to see. It was the perfect solution for our trip. we were three adults, mom and two adult sons, needed 3 beds without having to get more than one room. the one bedroom suite with 2 double beds and a sofa bed was the perfect solution.

Broken elevator - very long waits for one that did work

Rooms (former apartments) are a bit tired (very clean however). Windows are not very tight so be prepared for city noise (or use ear plugs provided by the hotel). Paid wifi? I created my own hotspot but others may find that to be an inconvenience.

The excitement didn't last lkng. About a minute in, we realized the tv wasn't working. When we called the front desk, the lady simply said, unapologetically, or even showing any willingness to help, "well, our service suppliers are having a problem. I don't know if the tv will be back on. " lie. It wasn't sayyin "no service" it just simply had no service. On the bill/quote, it says they offer wifi, cable tv, movies, room service, hypoallergenic pillows. But trust me. Non of these were offered. We asked for the pillow and the lady said no extra pillows. Ofcourse there was no tv, and for room service? They said we had to call the restaurants our selves (did you forget to mention this, when you said you offer room service?) So we called. Wen we got the bill, they had charged us for calling, and for having the food delivered(on top of the restaurant's fees and all) All in all, i felt lied to and robbed. And I usually never worry about how i spend my money/ or how much i spend. Did I mention; the towels were dirty. My initial excitement quickly turned into disappointment. Never going back.
I went to this hotel with a couple of friends. When we entered, it was perfect. We got excited about the big bathroom, the fact that it had a kitchen( with good appliances), big beds and sofa bed. The safe in the closet, and the iron.
