i think local calls has to be free, the internet service is expensive, a two way escalator is needed
excellent location and excellent staff
Great location, nice hotel, very comfortable! Got it at a good rate was extremely happy with my stay.
- very noisy till late evening…but after few beers I can sleep anywhere - paid wifi in 21st century? (free only in lobby)
- great connection to subway - location in centre NY - fair price
The wifi charge is $14.95 a night otherwise you have to go down to the lobby. Considering this is above average for a stay and your paying to stay you should have wifi especially as a tourist guest
Room make-up staff could be a bit more precise as the number and type of towels in room varied from day to day and coffee/tea make up was variable.
Much of NYC is within walking distance and when teamed with a $31.00 7 day subway pass everything is close day and night. Having kitchenette in room meant that breakfast could be taken at leisure and for tired feet, occasional relaxed eating in was possible in the evening.
No free wifi - seriously in 2015. Thats a big big big big big minus in my book! We booked and payed for a king size studio appartment with two beds - but when we checked in it was a single room with one queen size bed. We were told it was because of maintenance of two floors. We had to stay in the small (and extremely noisy)room till the next day where we had to pack and store our luggage until we could check in to the bigger room later that afternoon. The rooms is NOT as beautiful as in the pictures. They are seriously worn down. But they are spacey. We werent able to open the vindows for some fresh air, and the toilet was constantly running. We had it fixed one time but it just happened again. There is a lot of noise from the street - but hey its NYC and it comes with the location. I wouldnt recommend the lower floors if you have trouble sleeping in noisy sorroundings. Our first night on 5'th floor was intolerable - but when we were moved to 16'th it helped. It said in the room description that we received prior to our stay that there would be bathrobes but there wasn't. Im still not sure, that we were in the kind of room I had booked - because the beds were queen not king.
Rooms with a lot of space and the location is simply perfect. You can walk uptown or downtown and Penn Station is just across the street.
We had a great stay at the Affinia Manhattan. The location is very central and just across the street from Penn Station. There is also lots of places to eat nearby. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very helpful. We definitely will stay here next time and we look forward to our return in the future.
The preparation of our prior arrival and the bedding. We trquested a room with two separate beds, but when we arrived they gave us a double bed room, the excuse was Maintenance. Your maint is not the guests' problem it is your problem. Secondly they didn't accept paymnet with cash, they required visa or master card. And finally it is expensive.
Convenience of location and comfort of beds.
The bed was too small. I had requested a king suite and i got a big living area but the bedroom was tiny, no window and not laid out well.
Location Living space Kitching
I like everything there wasnt anything i can say that was bad. Our stay was great and will book again here.
Room was drafty and a lot of noise from outside. (Luxury) taxi taken from the hotel to jfk was horrendous! I would recommend walking before taking that taxi again!
Good location, comfortable bed. Overall a good trip and experience.
Location is great, across from Penn Station and 2 blocks from Macy's. I got a good deal on a deluxe room which was beautiful and spacious. Will definitely stay there again!
Rooms were stylish and well laid out
Air condition too hot at night，，too cold at morning
Took over an hour to get a set of sheets. Hotel too crowded. Lights in the room are too bright and not dimmable
Front desk staff and luggage check was excellent
the best price promise was not fulfilled - I booked months ago yet colleagues were booking much later at a considerably better price through various agencies
Room cold as window had air blowing straight through. Bell hop staff I spoke with was very nasty to me. The tv wouldn't let me order any movies.
Looking out the window of my room, I stared down Madison Square Garden. The lobby is nice. Parking is next door and below $50.
Got to the hotel and the staff couldn't find my reservation, they had us waiting for like an hour in the meantime my girlfriend got bitten by a dog in the lobby, had to spend all night at the hospital, came back to the room finally at 10 am tried to rest but there was a banging noise next door and couldn't sleep at all, worst experience of all times.
At least the room was clean
Tired rooms in need of a refurb. Marks on walls, ac units not fixed to walls fully, average cleanliness,
Location Manager can solve problems Comfortable bed
Nothing, it was all good
