Location is great, across from Penn Station and 2 blocks from Macy's. I got a good deal on a deluxe room which was beautiful and spacious. Will definitely stay there again!
Rooms were stylish and well laid out
Air condition too hot at night，，too cold at morning
Front desk staff and luggage check was excellent
Took over an hour to get a set of sheets. Hotel too crowded. Lights in the room are too bright and not dimmable
the best price promise was not fulfilled - I booked months ago yet colleagues were booking much later at a considerably better price through various agencies
Looking out the window of my room, I stared down Madison Square Garden. The lobby is nice. Parking is next door and below $50.
Room cold as window had air blowing straight through. Bell hop staff I spoke with was very nasty to me. The tv wouldn't let me order any movies.
At least the room was clean
Got to the hotel and the staff couldn't find my reservation, they had us waiting for like an hour in the meantime my girlfriend got bitten by a dog in the lobby, had to spend all night at the hospital, came back to the room finally at 10 am tried to rest but there was a banging noise next door and couldn't sleep at all, worst experience of all times.
Location Manager can solve problems Comfortable bed
Tired rooms in need of a refurb. Marks on walls, ac units not fixed to walls fully, average cleanliness,
Nothing, it was all good
Really great breakfast buffet was worth the extra cost.
All was great, except that our room was not ready at check-in. In fact I think there was no room. They said they would "upgrade" us to a better room if we were willing to wait. We waited and waited and then told them we just would take our same room. Instead they gave us all they had which was a room with 1 bed and no pull-out couch (which was the original plan), so we 3 had to sleep in one bed.
I loved the hotel it's locations and most of all the bar staff in Niles are fantastic and great sports looked after us. Best hotel visited it three years running and will be booking again
If u don't like noise then u might find this hotel noisy with fire department next door but I didnt have an issue with it..
staff were nice and empathetic
the showers are the size of a coffin the bathroom is tiny the shower shampoo and soap dispensers are awful the heat in the room is like an oven wifi was weak and clumsy
The proximity to Madison Sqare Garden and Penn Station is exceptional; the room was enormous & well appointed and larger than most NYC studio apartments! The restaurant & bar are superior! Way to go, Affinia!!
What's not to like?? Great location, room, food & drink all for a great price!
I had a nice experience staying a the Affinia Hotel. It's in the heart of NYC with great rates and friendly service.
The dust and hair behind and bed which the resolved ASAP.
Fantastic location, very central to everything Madison Square Garden across the road Nice gym Really friendly staff
Quite noisy even on high floors Beds a little uncomfortable Bathrooms are a little tired and need of a make over
The hotel location is very good, just opposite Madison Square Garden and in walking distance from Times Square and the Empire State Building. Room was good size for New York standards, but only had a tiny window. Did not try breakfast but there is a Starbucks across the street.
There were a lot of stray hairs on the bathroom floor which grossed me out a bit. A big minus for this place is that the wifi is not free in the room. We paid a very high rate for the night of December 31st, which is faitr because of high demand etc, but it not okay to then still try to charge extra for wifi. Wifi should be a standard amenity such as a tv or a phone.
Location was great for being in the middle of town, everything is a cab ride away but its in the middle of all those difference places. Small gym but at least it was free to use.
Room was supposed to be for 4 people but it would've been a squeeze for just 2. Horrendous price for the room! Have to pay daily for wifi, at the price that should be free
wifi is not free
My credit card was charged incorrectly by thousands of dollars by this hotel before I left the country. I incurred international transaction fees and an overdrawn fee because the falsse charges by the Affinai put my card in the red. I left for a holiday with an overdrawn credit card thanks to the Affina. So many people were at the counters of thi shotel during my stay, complaining about incorrect charges to their credits cards that I now know that this seems to be the norm for this place. It is very bad. Furthermore, it is so noisy that they provide earplugs for their guests. (not that they helped much at all). I was extremely disappointed in the hotel. I am now home and still trying to sort out my credit card issues with them. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. On the other hand I would highly recommend Booking.Com. They have been excellent in dealing with the financial problems the Affinia Hotel created. I am very grateful to them, hav always used them and will continue to always use them. Thanks Booking. Com!
noise from forestation nearby cold air from window
The room was great for a family including kitchenette and 2 bathrooms. You do however here the traffic noise all the time.
No free wifi
They down graded my reservation without my knowledge. I called the day before to go over everything and it all changed when I got there. Pompous arrogant manager who expected me to be thankful when they had to give me what I originally booked. Amanda was the counter girl and she was very pleasant. However no one else was. Carpets were all worn out. Very cold and old feeling as I hadn't been there in years but used to stay all the time and it was excellent back in the day. Prices go up and service and quality go down. Fairly typical I guess. Close to msg but that's about it.......
