Nice/kind hotel staff, fresh orange juice in breakfast, nice/clean room. Ellis Street is said to be the worst street in the downtown, due to the beggers and homeless people. (Hint: Use O'Farrell Street for walking or take the shuttle.) No cheese in breakfast, bad for Mediterreans. |

Friendly helpful staff - free email access - spacious, clean room with fridge and tea-making facilities - "boutique" feel - recently renovated. Good breakfast included in price.Good free shuttle service into town, but must pre-book - does not run at night. Long walk to Harbourfront but near terminus for cable cars. Hotel fine - location not good at night - taxi essential after dark!! |

I was disappointed to find, on our arrival that after pre booking 3months ahead the Hotel did not have the booked room available. Alternativley we were placede on a 'pre decor I.e 'dated' penthose room, however did not have facilities provided such as - No coffee cups (could not contact anyone to obtain any. No t v connected. Drapes were falling off hooks- my husband had to 'rig' them. A basic double bed placed on base flat on the floor!. Then on allocation of another room next day (after inconvenience of pack up again) we were expected to hyold off our sightseeing & shift our own bags etc to the new room. After expressing dissatisfation we were given a small discount off the 1st nights room tariff. Not exactly ideal to recommend Hotel |

We found the staff at the Cova were exceptionally helpful. Desk staff, in particular Gustavo, Mohi were gratious and always willing to assist. Anthony, Mathew and Rich also provided shuttle service and willing to give suggestions on dining and site seeing, a much appreciated local perspective that enabled us to optimize our time in San Francisco. It was also good to have the complimentary breakfast and we found the restaurant staff were excellent, the restaurant clean with a healthy selection of cereals and fruit, etc............a wonderful way to start the day.The fitness room was very good with up to date equipment. We found that it would have been more convenient to have had more hangers in the closets and not having a dresser made it difficult, living out of a suitcase is not preferrable. It would have been a bonus to have had a sauna and pool, alas, one cannot have everything when the price is right! |

The room was very comfortable and clean albeit rather noisy due to thin walls and ceilings. The location is not bad and certainly not as bad as I had anticipated after reading the reviews about the homeless in the area, there are more in other areas of the city. The staff were not very helpful and the breakfast was pretty awful. We also received a wake up call when we had not asked for one. |

Every member of the staff I encountered was extremely pleasant. They really cae about customer service and that can be refreshing these days. The location and noise on the street, but I knew that going in and it was worth the trade-off of a very attractive price. |

Clean, comfortable and modern hotel. Room was spacious. Staff generally helpful and friendly. Area was not good. Never felt threatened, but there are a lot of homeless and shady looking people surrounding the hotel precinct and there is a lot of noise. Car parking run by 3rd party cost $25/ 24hrs. Could not check in before 3pm - it appeared this was standard practice. |

The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcomed. They greeted us each time we walked in or out and asked about our stay. It showed they were concerned and its greatly appreciated! The only thing that we were a little upset was that they didn't offer any Spanish channels on tv. You guys should add univision. |

The manager (Germaine) and her team were fantastic. They help us schedulle our week as well as a trip to Yosemite and the giant sequoias. Ouer trip to San Francisco was spectacular thanks to them!'Germaine went our of her way to help us and I have never seen such effort in the hotel staff. Really amazing!!! I highly recomend this hotel Location is not ideal. But San Francisco requires transportation any way so it did not bothered et all. Breakfast is great |

Very nice facility. Extraordinarily attentive staff. Very nice breakfast. The rooms and central areas are not air conditioned and were very warm and humid. The rooms were extraordinarily warm and humid until the windows were opened and then they were fine. Also, the breakfast staffers did not seem to pay much attention to keeping the buffet stocked. If something ran out they just left the empty serving dish there. (I understand running out of things at 10am when breakfast ends, but at 8am??) |

Very neat, not too fancy, but it was worth for this price. I researched three days to book SF hotel around Fisherman's Warf area. It was not close to there, but close to Union Square Area. But if you like very safe looking neighborhood since you are not traveling often, you might want to choose this hotel. Around this hotel does not look safe since you have many people standing outside, not doing nothing. But we are so satisfied!! The thing we liked was breakfast!! It was great and staff were nice. The hotel with nice continental breakfast sounds bery nice to travelar. I did not mind, but nighborhood of this hotel was not looking very confortable to walk alone night time. |

The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to/from Union Square, Moscone Center and Fisherman's Wharf, on a pre-defined time schedule. The hotel offers a reasonable, complimentary breakfast. Although the hotel is located just a few blocks from Union Square, the immediate neighbourhood seems a little bit frightening. The complimentary shuttle service seems to be a necessity for the guests' tranquility, especially for guests that do not have a car. |
