Aka was so central to all nyc has to offer, we were there for our 30th wedding anniversary and it was fabulous. We could not fault the hotel or location.

I've stayed at many of the area hotels, the Royalton, Iroquois, Paramount, Westin, etc., but in my experience the best rooms at the best price are at the aka Times Square. I do like the Paramount for its quirkiness, and prefer the ace for its artiness and vibe, but the aka is a perfect mix of luxury and comfort and location and in-room amenities. I love, love, love the kitchens--outfitted with high-end appliances like a Sub-Zero fridge. I was able to go to the Union Square farmers market two days in a row and stock up on cheeses, breads, veggies and the like, all of which I was able to nibble on in my room, at my leisure. Highly recommended.

The staff were fantastic. Very attentive. The location of the property was central to everything. It was great having the option to cook in your room if you wanted to rather than a hotel room with no facilities.

The location is great. The hotel preaty new, very good instalations. No room service every day and this must be clear to the guest when they doing the reservation. Very nice and good size suites. All you need for a long stay in NYC. Everything, teathers, good restaurants , shopping , are around the Hotel. We love our stay in NYC. No complains except we are surprised that the Hotel not have every day room service.

The location is perfect. It very convenient if you are traveling with young children. The weather was so cold, and the heater was broken most of our stay. We called maintenance 3 times and they couldn't fix the problem. I would never go back to this hotel. How come you go for a vacation with an 8 month old baby and have to spend most of the time in the cold! It is December!! So it was a very bad experience to our family.

Smart, modern and comfortable ny City pad with plenty of space to live ny lifestyle. Blinds didn't go up so view to street restricted and difficult to open windows. Apartment was very warm so we needed windows open.

We loved the size of the apartment and the facilities within our individual apartment The website stated that the hotel had its own bar, restaurant and concierge, however it had none of these.

The location is GREAT, literally a 2 minute walk to timesquare. The room was clean and such GREAT space. I'm definitely coming back! You can fit alot of people in the room as well. Love the contemporary look of the room, kitchen, and other mini room... Room also has washer and dryer. It's like having your own condo in NYC. :) Really worth the money.

Spacious room Facilities Because of the location, some nights, it was a bit noisy. The other disadvantage is the shades. You can not lift the shades up, it makes the room dark.

Its location was amazing - close to theaters, many good stores in the streets nearby, many subway stations around, nice restaurants and even few blocks to Central Park. Kitchen and laundry in the room was really helpful during our stay, and the room was very huge. Staff ignored most of my requests during our stay. I had a problem with the oven (something broke inside it) and even had asked someone to clean it up, nobody went up to do it - my husband and I had to take all the broken glass away.

This place is amazing! I felt like I lived in an upscale Manhattan apartment!! I will definitely be back soon! I didn't like that the hotel entrance was completely separate from the hotel bar and restaurant.

My stay of aka was a very good choice. The staff are very helpful, and kept my big luggage during a tour to Canada and Washington dc. The business centre is well equipped, complete with printer and photocopier and the wifi in the room is really convenient. The suite is luxurious, with nice immaculately white bed linen, ample stock of towels, with good natural lighting and windows in all the rooms. The washing machine came in handy for washing some clothes. The kitchen, which I didn't use during my 3 day stay was fully equipped, and is an asset, especially on a longer holiday. The location is excellent to enjoy Times Square and Broadway till the ealry morning hours. Theatres very close. For New Year's Eve - was just a corner away from the Ball.

Awsome ultra modern apartment hotel in a great location. Very helpful and attentfull staff. Very reasonable priced for a 5 star midtown Manhattan hotel, that's around the corner from Times Square. Felt so at home. I was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded me to the penthouse suite. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone with plans for a quick stay in new york city.

Thought it was very clean, great location for family, easy to walk to everything, or just a short cab ride. Really great stay! Staff was very friendly, but not great at making suggestions for restaurants out of the area, or off the tourist path.

Everything about this hotel is wonderful ! Staff was very helpfull. Location was amazing. Rooms were big bright and spacious. Full kitchen as well as washer/dryer combo in room was unexpected but welcomed. Rainfall shower was great. Business center on 4th floor was equipped with 4 Mac computers .(free internet access) as well as gourmet tea, coffee and apples. Hotel also stored our luggage as checkout was at 11 and our flight was leaving later in the evening. EVERYTHING about this hotel exceed my expectations. Will definetly be staying here for my yearly trips to NYC !
