Score from 249 reviews Very good
Centrally located near shopping and dining, this hotel is only 2 blocks from Waikiki Beach. It provides guests with limited free parking and free Wi-Fi.
Score from 491 reviews Very good
The room size was nice and comfortable for two people. Good location for shopping.
The room wasn't ready when we arrived, but we were a little early and they said they were running a bit behind too...so. The bathroom floor was still wet from them cleaning and the cleaning product they used was so over powering it gave me a headache that lasted for hours.
clean and cosy, nice smile from bell desk good location with convenience to commute to the main streets
better service of reception
Location of the hotel was convenient, the room was clean and comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom were nice, the Internet and the view were great.
There was no extra blanket
Signs of wear & tear on walls and furniture. Emphasis on how the hotel is a condo hotel and how services are maintained differently; this gave the impression that we were not true guests of the hotel. Services should be streamlined for guests so that there is no guesswork or triage for who we should call, etc. Thankfully we had no problems and it was a short stay but strange nonetheless.
The friendliness of the staff.
Very unfriendly staff, dirty coffee maker, not enough pellows and blankets. Don't stay in this hotel ever
There wasn't a kettle in the room.
Ideal location as wife likes to shop and can safely go to and from the shopping center on her own.
Turned off the refrigerator as it was a bit noisy.
LSI phone staff was excellent nice view from the room
WiFi did not work - Bathroom cleanliness was poor
Location to Ala Moana Center and small ocean view
Place is good
staff are working so slow ;;and there are only few
Location near the beach and Ala Moana Mall.
Being told AS I ARRIVED that I was not renting a room from the Ala Moana Hotel, but actually from a "private company" that owns SOME of the rooms in the hotel. A male receptionist and a female receptionist named "J" or "Jay" told me that my room was owned by a "private individual" and that I have to wait until 4PM to check in! She said it several times, and then she said "sign this, so you can't say that we didn't tell you it's owned by a private individual", and I said "yeah, NOW you're telling me. You should've told me before I finished booking, 2 months ago", and then left to go get security because I was "rude". But the manager stopped her and he came over to discuss it with me. He wasn't making excuses, like she was. He was reasonable, and he didn't accuse me of being unreasonable. Then he gave me a room, which when I got there, had a dirty sink, a vacuum cleaner in the middle of the floor, and the heater cover was laying on the floor. I waited 30 minutes for my luggage, then gave up and went downstairs to ask for it. The 3rd receptionist said "oh we're changing your room". I asked why, and he said "I don't know". Then they finally brought my luggage to the 2nd room, which had a MUCH better view. This time, I could see the beach instead of a parking lot. It was still a small room at $150, but at least it was comfortable and the internet worked.
Easy to get to from the airport. Nice view of downtown from the spacious balcony. Nice to have 24 hour bell desk to store our luggage while touring before and after checking in & out.
Pillows on bed were very small. There was no hair dryer in our room. Even budget motels supply a hair dryer. The clock radio wasn't plugged. Plugged it in & set the time. Was going to set the alarm as we had to be up at 5:00 the next morning but fortunately used my cell phone alarm. During the night the clock died.
when I go into room I found the rubbish bin all full noboby clean it. The ridge is so noisy
Unit was owned apparently by someone else... Could not get room made up or towels.. Had double beds... Supposed to have King... Ocean view if you hang off the balcony..... Hated it
Hotel staff friendly.
Carpets in the room needs cleaning. The coffee maker was very stained and leaking. I called the LSI number to say we needed a new coffee maker but was not supplied. The coffee mugs were very stained.
There was nothing that I did not like.
When booking through an online source, the hotel regularly states that they do not "handle" you and gives you a number to call. We were not eligible for many things, like late check out, because we did not book directly with them. It's a good deal, but should inform customers a list of all things they will not be able to obtain.
Travelled to Hawaii for the Honolulu Marathon and wanted to be close to the start. Ala Moana was perfect and our room had an amazing ocean view!
Would love to have had a kettle on the room rather than poor coffee maker and weak microwave.
location. Signature restaurant is fantastic.
room was small and built for a handicap person.
Wrong bed from reservation and LSI staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. TV service sucked.
We requested two full beds but we given one bed and a couch. The room was shared by two of our staff and one was sick. It did not make for a comfortable stay.
service was terrible.
Great location excellent views. Largs room. Bell captains desk staff were obliging and excellent to deal witj
The staff at reception were disinterested in all any requests we made. They were rude and extremely unhelpful.
The view outside the room.
The attitude the front desk worker had when we checked in.
