Room was very small. just enough room for a bed and a table. Bathroom was clean and almost as big as the room. Heater was really noisy when it cam on but could still get to sleep. Overall, got was we paid for. Inexpensive, close to Portland for one night. Would only book again for a one night stay. Anything longer, I would want a bigger room.
Inexpensive, and very friendly helpful staff
Issues with old water pipes. Frustrated that they knew about the problems and still put people in the room. The water came out of the faucet looking like rust.
The staff was willing to work around issues with my room and in a fast manner. They were very nice to deal with
The description for the room we got on booking.com was not what we got. They were awesome and were able to make adjustments for us. Staff was more than pleasant.
Taken care of
Geographical situation was excellent : close to public transport and 15 minutes from centre town.
Good place for value, close enough to Downtown and right by Multonomah Village. Michael was great for directing us there.
The breakfast is lame. But then again I think that if a motel isn't going to offer a good breakfast then don't offer one at all and reflect that in the price so that a person can at least go to a diner for a decent breakfast.
It is a budget motel not the Hilton. We are simple folks & like simple things in life.
The lights in the room were fluorescent office lights and the lamps seemed to have super bright LED bulbs as well. You can't see the tv from bed...have to sit in uncomfortable chairs.
Not too far from the city, comfy pillows, nice staff, and decent little selection for breakfast.
One room did not have a microwave or refrigerator.
The room is clean and quiet, and the staff is friendly and professional.
We were in room 101 and 102, right under the office... You can hear everything, full conversations and every time a table or chair moves. Beds are hard as can be
Staff was nice.
Weak Wifi and noisy room heater.
Good hotel and quite but accessible neighborhood. Nicer staff, descent breakfast.
We checked in fairly early (7 pm), and when we got to our room, we saw that the sink was very dirty -- as if someone had literally rinsed off something that had dirt all over it and left a dirty ring that didn't wash away when we turned on the tap. The rest of the bathroom *seemed* spotlessly clean (but who knows) if a little shabby. We brought the dirty sink to the attention of the staff member at the desk, and she told us that there was nothing she could do about it, as she was literally the only staff member on duty and she could not leave. Really? Not even one maintenance person to wipe out our sink with some bleach? She couldn't even give us a Clorox wipe, or offer us a $10 refund off our stay -- nothing? We didn't make a big fuss about it, but we felt a bit wary of the clean appearance of everything else -- if the sink was left so obviously dirty, was the rest of the room actually cleaned? The sink had a very slow drain too, probably from the dirt that was rinsed down it. Whatever -- I've stayed in far worse. We were on a lower floor & some people above us were making a valiant effort to stomp around, so that was annoying. We were tired so we were able to fall asleep easily regardless, and checked out first thing in the morning. Don't expect much of anything for the continental breakfast -- basically yogurt, coffee, watery orange juice, plastic-wrapped fruit, and toast. So unless you have a massive hankering for some Yoplait, skip it. We had planned on getting breakfast elsewhere anyway -- I don't come to Portland for cheapo hotel food.
It was mostly clean, in a safe location, staff was friendly. It had everything we needed, but we didn't need much (just a safe place to crash that was relatively clean and had a flushing toilet), so if you're looking for a lot of amenities, this is not the place.
morning fog bank
Staff and location
Breakfast hours very limited. This 2 bedroom suite needed a bigger table with 4 chairs & a sofa. A coffee pot and another table would be nice. Told by phone we could bring small pets, then at check-in, told no pets allowed.
Large rooms with comfy beds. Quiet enough to sleep with windows open. Nice to have complimentary breakfast available. Easy to find.
Did put down salt for ice storm had ice down the whole staircase
Guys at front desk were great the lady didn't update my card when I paid for another night had to go back down icey staircase to get into my room...
location and friendly staff- a cut above the rest.
Quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was nothing special, but they had oatmeal, a variety of bread, etc. so it was sufficient.
Breakfast was paltry
Clean room and decent sheets
Desk dude was very nice. Room was clean, simple, cheap.
Only two tables for breakfast so no where near enough to cater for the amount of rooms they have.
The room was big, clean and comfy. Bus was right across the street but took a while to get into town. The location was nice and not much noise at night. Good value for money, would recommend.
Our door wouldn't close securely. I reported to staff Saturday morning and again on Sunday morning when we checked out. It made me feel unsafe. I would like to return to Aladdin but probably wont because of that. They should have fixed it right away in my opinion since it was a safety hazard.
Liked the front desk staff. Very professional, pleasant.
Poor internet connection.
The Location and facilities
Nice looking. Staff nice.
Friendly staff, nice location, comfortable bed, clean room
