The owners of this house are the couple which are very kind and nice，if you would like to live with a local family， this place is the greatest to choose. By the way， the breakfast is very very very tasty，especially the eggs~~
The Wifi is a little bit slow.
We saw very good northern light in my room and lodge outside ,lodge boss are very nice ,they gave me very great help,it's a good place for stay in Fairbanks.
Comfort, staff. Anita, Mark, Peter. We'd like to thank you by the hospitality. We felt like at home. Say hello to Keena, Jake and Chewbaka
have to leave... everything was nice.
Like family environment
Hostess was very friendly. Breakfast was great!! Very quiet environment.
When I booked, didn't know there were so many steps to get into the lodge and the bedrooms were up another set of steps. No problem for me and my husband but one of our friends had a hard time navigating.
Really nice place. Larger than expected with several rooms and a guest kitchen. We were able to cook that night and take a break from restaurant food. Breakfast was a feast.
GPS didn't get the directions right but I called and got directions from the host. We were just a mile away. They are used to this happening and it is not their fault.
The location was nicely secluded and on the edge of Fairbanks. The owner was very hospitable and friendly. Great breakfast was served. The beds in our room were comfortable.
Nothing worth mentioning!
We enjoyed our stay here a lot. Didn't seem too far from town yet was a secluded country home. Breakfasts were great and Anita is wonderful. Room was clean and very comfortable.
I wish I would of brought a bar of soap. There was liquid dial hand soap for the shower but that is quite drying. Easily fixed though, so really no complaints.
The hostess and her husband are very accommodating. She makes a nice breakfast which is filling , at 8am sharp. Nice location from Fairbanks, but not too far. She was very helpful and just a delightful person.
Beds are too soft for my liking, though I did sleep well
Anita is amazing. Breakfasts fantastic, location central to all to do in Central Alaska! Guest kitchen was an asset, rooms were large and comfortable, albeit slightly rustic which is what you expect in a lodge. I would stay there every time in Fairbanks.
The property is undergoing some minor improvements and could use better signage off the highway. (Once off the main road the signage is good). Mattresses a little too soft for my taste, but overall very pleasant!
Breakfast was very good.
Friendly welcome Breakfast Comfortable room
Distance from any restaurants and/or Fiarbanks
We'll water had too much of a sulfur smell and taste.
Was well off the beaten path, surrounded by woods. Quiet and comfortable. Had two gentle and friendly dogs, Keena and Jack.
Nothing to not like. Anita was very friendly and helpful. Cooked a good breakfast both days we stayed.
My son and I vacationed for several weeks in Alaska this summer. One of the highlights were the three days we stayed here. Our host, Anita, was charming, entertaining and very helpful. Each morning started with a hearty breakfast and conversation before we left for our outings. Returning one evening, there was a moose grazing in the back yard!!! Something you certainly don't see every day. Would definitely recommend this B&B highly to travelers.
Lack of black out drapes.
The location was perfect for being just outside of town to explore the outdoor activities, it was just a little difficult to find at first because GPS takes you to a road that doesn't lead to the house - take Nichols vs Love Rd. Anita was very knowledgable about the area and friendly, and always had a big, hot breakfast ready to go in the morning. I couldn't have stayed in a better spot!
Nothing, I'd stay again and will refer friends to this lodging.
1. It's on Chena Hot Spring Road. Driving to Chena Hot Spring is less than an hour based on weather condition. 2. It provides good breakfast and afternoon tea. The house is beautiful with lovely dogs. 3. Many activities around this area, such as "just short of magic sled dog ride". Besides, this lodge also held some activities such as sled dog ride and snow machine ride. 4. The owner is kind and informative. If you have any question about local life, aurora, or activities, please feel free to ask her.
1. The room rate is relatively higher than other similar lodge. I stayed in Fairbanks for 5 nights, and this hotel is the most pricy but not the best. 2. If you join the activities with the lodge, the price might be different between cash and card. Please ask all the details about the activities before you go.
Delicious breakfast, Friendly people, Beautiful surroundings, Keena the dog
Tap water has too much minerals and smelled, but this is not something they can control. Overall everything was great.
Nice breakfast and hospitality!
One word. Excellent! Not too far from Fairbanks but far enough to be away from city lights. We were able to see the northern lights right from the balcony! The breakfast was excellent and the entire experience was very homely! Anita is a great host and will totally go out of her way to make you feel comfortable.
Our only problem was the well water supply to the lodge. It was metallic in taste and had loads of white colored mineral particles.
Wonderfully homey feeling - loved the dogs! Beautiful location. Owners were extremely talkative and helpful.
This is not a resort or full-service hotel. But it is wonderful for the independent traveler & worked very well for us.
The owner's concern about our comfort was outstanding, house warm & comfy. Cold weather gear was provided, suggestions made for activities, mother moose & calf encounter arranged! Breakfasts, huge and delicious. The whole family was friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.
Try as they did, the owners were simply unable to provide aurora viewing through the heavy cloud cover!!
Snow suits to use to see Northern lights. WOnderful place friendly staff highly recommended
