Score from 117 reviews Very good
Short walk to old town center. Some nice decor with old local flavor and pretty outside patio.
Older hotel renovated but not up to modern tech standards. Older tv, nothing special about views or immediate area. Restaurant average.
Great attention to details--even had Starbucks coffee in room. Very friendly
Would have liked a continental breakfast
What didn't I like is more the question. The hotel was a great place to spend my time in NM. Price, comfort, location.
But if I one thing to improve on, it would be the side parking lot. It does not appropriate lighting, stripping, nor perceived security. As one who is an expert in risk and hazard prevention, that's where I would put money into in order to prevent negative incidences that could cause Heritage Hotels and Resorts a significant liability claim. My first hand experience and observations while there proved me right. A Corp such as this should know better.
Comfortable, quiet and conveniently located.
rooms are getting a little tired no mini bar / fridge TV is a CRT from the 1990's
The room and comfort level was really nice. The lobby was nicely decorated. It was nice to have the restaurant and bar on the premises and it is in walking distance to Old Town.
The desk clerk incorrectly told us about free appetizers in the bar at our arrival. It only took us 10 minutes to get there and it was over. Same person also told us about a discount on our restaurant bill with our room, and only afterward found out it did not include cocktails. This was Christmas week and the staff seemed overworked and uninformed or just tired.
Too far from shopping and movies. Cost for cab both way was costly but chose not to rent a car as I prefer to walk.
The rooms are comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's great to have a decent restaurant in the hotel, and the location is excellent, in walking distance to Old Town.
Would have been nice not to be woken up by cleaning staff at 8 am - I guess next time we need to be more diligent about putting up the Do Not Disturb sign, but I've never had anyone want to clean a room so early. Also would have been nice for the wifi not to go down for almost one whole day. It was spotty even when up.
Close to Old Town with local character
Old TV, tube type, no HD, no refrigerator in room. Rooms and public spaces need updating.
Location. Walking distance to old town, restaurants. Hassle free access, good parking.
We arrived early after a transatlantic flight followed by an overnight train journey. We asked if we could leave our bags but were immediately told they were happy for us to check in. We were also given a free upgrade to a suite. Matt on reception took the time to tell us a bit about the hotel and the city and every other staff member we came across was equally charming. The hotel is very clean, beautifully furnished and reflects its south western location. The restaurant was warm and welcoming and served a good range of local dishes. The Alberquerque Hotel was a wonderful find and I would recommend it to anyone visiting New Mexico
The staff at front desk and throughout the hotel was friendly and helpful. The garden was lovely and the hotel is a little older.
The hotel was half empty if not more so and I would have appreciated a lower rate on my stay.
The staff was terrific - helpful in all ways. The location and beauty of the hotel were plusses, too. The rooms were lovely on the 10th floor where we had a good view.
The blower on the heater was a little noisy - better after they came to fix it, but still made some noise. The water was just warm not hot in the sink and shower.
Most everything else...beds were horrible, the room was nothing like what is pictured and we were even upgraded"""" . Carpet was filthy...the outside of the hotel is the best part.
The large size of the suite. Superb service! Fantastic location adjacent to Old Town ABQ.
The bathroom in the suite was surprisingly small.
I decided to spend a bit more money than I usually would and stayed at the Hotel Albuquerque for the first two nights of my New Mexico vacation. I am so glad that I did. I got quite lucky as, upon check in, the clerk told me that all of the rooms like the one I had reserved were full and they were upgrading me to a suite! I really liked the southwestern décor of the hotel and it is just a short walk from Old Town. I dined at Garduno's in the hotel - fantastic cucumber and also jalapeno margaritas. Also, the best chicken quesadillas I have ever enjoyed! Overall, a delightful experience. I am eager to return.
I like how front desk personnel's friendliness and avalilbility. In particular Ms. Alison!
Great positioning to access Old Town, nice rooms, great view of the mountains. Comfortable and spacious.
Nice size, good view, comfortable bed
TV: old CRT technology, poor screen resolution. Air Conditioner. Need improved operating instructions readily available/visible. Wanted to turn the Unit/fan off. The off position on unit was not controlable. Finally figured out that the fan needed to be in the auto position.
spacious junior suite; lobby had southwestern decor; enjoyable restauant
Proximity to Old Town
No microwave or Refrigerator in room, had no idea we could request one. Bad experience in onsite restaurant, no hostess to greet, on break, waiter haughtily informed us dinning room closed, even though he had a large table there he was waiting on, shuffled us into bar where we were ignored by bartender, light was so dim could not read menu with glasses, finally a waiter appeared and took our order. This our first night there after all day in flight, not happy campers!!!
Very comfortable beds! Charming Southwest style decor. Walking distance to Old Town.
I waIt moving from Columbus, Ohio to Tucson, Arizona. It would be our last day of traveling and I knew we would want some place special. I chose Albuquerque Hotel because it was beautiful, close to Old Town, and relaxing. It turned out to be just that. The pool was amazing and relaxing.
Disappointed we did not have a refrigerator. Did not see that fine print to request and none was available. No cold drinks that night or next morning.
I had a great stay here. j The hotel staff was very helpful and the restaurant was very good. Rain was a great waiter, and David, the chef was talented and came out to speak to me. But Leo is the jewel of this hotel. He helped me on so many levels and by the time I was leaving, I felt I had made a new friend. I want to come back to Old town, and I'll definately stay here. Thanks, Brent
The proximity to the Old Town and to the main bus routes that serve other parts of Albuquerque.
Lack of dining options in the hotel. If you didn't like chilli peppers you were on a hiding to nothing. We ate at Seasons quite a few times which had an excellent menu.
Location. Comfortable beds. Breakfast in the garden. Courtesy
Rooms are reasonably comfortable, but could be updated. Bathrooms aren't up to the rest of the hotel standards. The toilets must have been designed for children....really not appropriate and management should use one in the rooms to learn why. Dresser cabinets are cheap and load when opening and closing.
