We paid for a suite. What we got was a converted meeting room with one small TV that could not be watched from the sitting area - only from the bed and desk. The bathroom was tiny with a pedestal sink and no space at all for toiletries. No Kleenex in bathroom. No bar open other than clubby Q-Bar that charges admission, hugely loud, and is strictly for young adults.
Not much. Free parking (lot is full of pits and bumps). Free wifi, bed okay. Very so-so.
When I checked in, I asked a couple of questions about how to get around & transportation. I found the person to be less-than-helpful - he acted like he didn't care. In a nice place like this, I would have expected a little bit more. Later in the trip I did have a couple of pleasant interactions with another staff member named Matthew. Bed was too soft & not everyone can do feather pillows, I woke up with allergy issues. There should be a chair or something on the balcony (which had many bird droppings on it)
Very convenient to Old Town & the Bosque Trail. Gardunos restaurant was great - try the cucumber margarita & blue corn enchiladas.
Great decor, great staff!!!!!
Not a thing.
The rooms are quite comfortable and just feel good. the staff, at the front desk, in housekeeping and in the restaurant could not be more helpful and courteous. I will not stay anywhere else when visiting Albuquerque.
There are a lot of big unfurnished public spaces. Looks like they are afraid someone will steal something or maybe it will be too much work to dust if they furnish it with enough things to look comfortable.
The outdoor hot tub was nice.
The salmon dinner was very good. I don't like to eat very much and it was somewhat difficult to choose a light fare on the menu.
The mountain view and location adjacent to Old Town. I forgot to bring up the condiments from the lunch order at Gardunos which I could not finish, and called room service that evening and it was delivered within a short time.
The restroom was small. The rate was too high for the accommodations.
The location and Garduno's was good.
Older hotel renovated but not up to modern tech standards. Older tv, nothing special about views or immediate area. Restaurant average.
Short walk to old town center. Some nice decor with old local flavor and pretty outside patio.
Would have liked a continental breakfast
Great attention to details--even had Starbucks coffee in room. Very friendly
But if I one thing to improve on, it would be the side parking lot. It does not appropriate lighting, stripping, nor perceived security. As one who is an expert in risk and hazard prevention, that's where I would put money into in order to prevent negative incidences that could cause Heritage Hotels and Resorts a significant liability claim. My first hand experience and observations while there proved me right. A Corp such as this should know better.
What didn't I like is more the question. The hotel was a great place to spend my time in NM. Price, comfort, location.
rooms are getting a little tired no mini bar / fridge TV is a CRT from the 1990's
Comfortable, quiet and conveniently located.
The desk clerk incorrectly told us about free appetizers in the bar at our arrival. It only took us 10 minutes to get there and it was over. Same person also told us about a discount on our restaurant bill with our room, and only afterward found out it did not include cocktails. This was Christmas week and the staff seemed overworked and uninformed or just tired.
The room and comfort level was really nice. The lobby was nicely decorated. It was nice to have the restaurant and bar on the premises and it is in walking distance to Old Town.
Too far from shopping and movies. Cost for cab both way was costly but chose not to rent a car as I prefer to walk.
Would have been nice not to be woken up by cleaning staff at 8 am - I guess next time we need to be more diligent about putting up the Do Not Disturb sign, but I've never had anyone want to clean a room so early. Also would have been nice for the wifi not to go down for almost one whole day. It was spotty even when up.
The rooms are comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. It's great to have a decent restaurant in the hotel, and the location is excellent, in walking distance to Old Town.
Old TV, tube type, no HD, no refrigerator in room. Rooms and public spaces need updating.
Close to Old Town with local character
Location. Walking distance to old town, restaurants. Hassle free access, good parking.
We arrived early after a transatlantic flight followed by an overnight train journey. We asked if we could leave our bags but were immediately told they were happy for us to check in. We were also given a free upgrade to a suite. Matt on reception took the time to tell us a bit about the hotel and the city and every other staff member we came across was equally charming. The hotel is very clean, beautifully furnished and reflects its south western location. The restaurant was warm and welcoming and served a good range of local dishes. The Alberquerque Hotel was a wonderful find and I would recommend it to anyone visiting New Mexico
The hotel was half empty if not more so and I would have appreciated a lower rate on my stay.
The staff at front desk and throughout the hotel was friendly and helpful. The garden was lovely and the hotel is a little older.
The blower on the heater was a little noisy - better after they came to fix it, but still made some noise. The water was just warm not hot in the sink and shower.
The staff was terrific - helpful in all ways. The location and beauty of the hotel were plusses, too. The rooms were lovely on the 10th floor where we had a good view.
Most everything else...beds were horrible, the room was nothing like what is pictured and we were even upgraded"""" . Carpet was filthy...the outside of the hotel is the best part.
The bathroom in the suite was surprisingly small.
The large size of the suite. Superb service! Fantastic location adjacent to Old Town ABQ.
I decided to spend a bit more money than I usually would and stayed at the Hotel Albuquerque for the first two nights of my New Mexico vacation. I am so glad that I did. I got quite lucky as, upon check in, the clerk told me that all of the rooms like the one I had reserved were full and they were upgrading me to a suite! I really liked the southwestern décor of the hotel and it is just a short walk from Old Town. I dined at Garduno's in the hotel - fantastic cucumber and also jalapeno margaritas. Also, the best chicken quesadillas I have ever enjoyed! Overall, a delightful experience. I am eager to return.
I like how front desk personnel's friendliness and avalilbility. In particular Ms. Alison!
Great positioning to access Old Town, nice rooms, great view of the mountains. Comfortable and spacious.
