This downtown Houston hotel is half a mile from Minute Maid Park, home of the Astros baseball team. This hotel offers free downtown shuttle service and a rooftop swimming pool.
Score from 144 reviews Excellent
The shuttle was wonderful and fast. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The bar closed earlier than it was supposed to. We should have been notified of the wedding that was taking place that used the entire lobby and was loud. Room service was said to take only 16-20 and ended up taking 45 minutes!! We weren't able to eat the food because it took so long and we had to go.
I handed in laundry and Italy was not sent off. This was on Friday. Unwashed clothing returned on Monday despite assurances over weekend that I would receive my clean clothes back. Poor show!!! Makes for a difficult following week when travelling with a bag of dirty washing. I would not recommend my staff to use this hotel on a business trip. No real concern and no solution offered to my situation.
We arrived 4 hours early for check in and the man t the front desk was very nice and very helpful! He checked with house keeping to make sure we got a room right away. We did not spend much time at the hotel but it was within walking distance to many bars and resturaunts and the ball park (which is why we were there).
Nothing bad to say.
The bed was nice.
I didn't like that there was no refrigerator in room.
clean and comfortable beds
the valet price for vehicle was extremely expensive. wish the room had a fridge
I like the Hotel, the location, the Staffs, the Environment, and Their services.
There was no Refrigerator inside my room, and I found it difficult to preserve some of my items. They got spoilt. The Wifi network was not stable
$100 for a 4 star hotel. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in my life and the pillows matched. The bathroom was very nice. The coffee maker was a kuerig and was the best complimentary hotel coffee i've ever had. The complimentary shuttle was very convenient and the driver was very nice. The lobby was modern and clean. The tv was inset with the wall. They placed me in a room at my request, facing west. They gave me a late check out when i was running behind. Awesome hotel and if I can get another good deal, I will definitely stay again!
-No ice machine -No vending machine, therefore pushing the mini-bar options which are more expensive. ($6 for a small bag of less than a dozen, quarter sized chocolate chip cookies) -Did not provide enough sugar and creamer to go along with the coffee and when I requested more I was told i would receive it outside my door by the following morning, but never did.
Located next to a metro station, very comfortable and clean rooms.
We asked for a taxi to be arranged for an early morning airport run which didn't turn up though the woman at the desk in the morning was helpful and rectified the error.
Courtesy car was convenient, location was within walking distance to many venues.
Housekeeping was a little stingy with the towels, too many homeless across street at mission after dark. Roof access would be nice as a smokers area.
Convenient location to the the theater district. Room was small yet intimate.
Staff seemed not to care about the details.
Great decor, very comfortable and fashionable room. Bed was extremely comfortable. I was booked in a handicap accessible room and the bathroom was great! Walk in shower, large, clean.
The surrounding neighborhood is not excellent, but the location being just a 5-minute walk from Minute Maid Park was great.
Breakfast was decent, didn't eat anything else at hotel. Bar was dead Friday night but jamming after the game on Saturday. Used the free shuttle to go to other bars. But plenty of bars near hotel to walk to. Great price for the location and ammenities.
Excellent location , Rooms were very clean
Parking is terrible and way to pricy . Staff could not give you information regarding parking near the hotel . Arrived at 4 p.m. and no rooms were available even though check-in is 3 p.m.
Staff very helpful. Assisted us arranging trips, pick up from the airport etc. the complimentary shuttle that runs in the downtown area is great - especially if it rains. Which it did during our stay! Also was my husband's 50th while we were there and they gave him some chocolate coated strawbs - very nice.
The location and the vibe of this hotel were amazing for a weekend get away for myself and my fiancé. The shuttle to anywhere downtown was very convenient, and the staff did their best to be sure our room was away from the guests staying in the hotel celebrating a large wedding. The bar was very nice on the first floor.
The valet was very expensive so we chose to find parking elsewhere.
The room looked nice and was clean The bed was comfortable
Only valet parking available. they should tell you this when you make your reservation. The window in the room was broken and taped up with duct tape. There was no fridge to keep beverages cold. Mini bar included 2 bottles of Voss water and some fancy labeled peanuts. That was it. I was expecting something a little more "4 star"
Most everything, including free shuttle services to local area.
It was kind of unusual not to have an ice machine, but was not a deal breaker.
I like this hotel due to it 'a comfortable , clean
Location, Front Desk Staff, Room
The room rate was very high due to the otc conference. Crazy high rate, but I was lucky to get the room. 108,000 people attended otc.
like the location close to Minute Maid and transportation provided by hotel to and from the ball park because that was our reason for coming to Houston Comfortable bed....nice view....nice and quite hotel
Had knee replacement surgery few weeks back and didn't like that there wasn't ice machine available on any floor Valet parking was expensive glad that we stayed only ONE night
The hotel was very comfortable, clean, and perfect location in downtown Houston. We will definitely be back.
Nothing to complain about
two beds was not provided.rooms service plates were not remove for two nights
The staff was extremely helpful and gave us amazing service. They answered all of our questions and then some. The bed and linens were excellent. The lobby was beautiful.
I felt the valet parking was a little overpriced. What was described as a mini-bar was a couple of bottles of water on the desk in the room. The bar was also closed during our stay.
1st room became very wet when temp. Was above 65. Very noisy due to 2 parties. 2nd room, due to noise issues, a/c did not work and water in bathroom was broken.
