The vibe is just right: every single person--desk, bell person, housekeeper--was extremely polite and considerate without being obsequious. The intellectual history of the hotel obviously is still regarded as important. Room (deluxe queen) was elegantly set up and very clean. Room size was comfortable, by New York standards (meaning most are very small). |

The room itself, although quite small, was clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. A particular woman at the front desk wasn't very plesant or professional upon our arrival when it was determined that they lost our reservation. Nor was she helpful and respectful when we tried to resolve a billing error made by them. Unfortunately, one week later, I am still trying to get my money back from this hotel. |

Comfortable- Excellent customer service- all staff is very customer-focused and the accommodations are very comfortable. The only issue was with the key cards for room entry- did not work for the bell hop that escorted me up initially and were rekeyed, the did not work for me when I returned from dinner later that evening. The front desk explained that there have been some problems with the new system. |

The Hotel has great style and tradition plus, location, location, location. Staff was couteous and competent. In the middle of construction zone outside. Front room was a little noisy. Elevator was small, there was only really one. |

location is excellent and staff very accomidating hey put a hold on my credit card for 50 % more than the hotel room. Four days later it is stll on which prevents me from using it. |

The room had both a sitting room and bedroom, the bed was comfortable, the sheets soft, liked the historic atmosphere of the hotel very much. No coffeemaker in the room made it disagreeable to have to wake up and face high hotel prices or NYC crowds for coffee or tea.I really disliked the sitting room becoming a virtual "convenience store" of items to purchase at exhorbinant prices. I found this declassé. A few items yes, but this bordered on ridiculous. |

The only thing I liked about the hotel was it's location. Bathroom sink didn't work properly and no service was rendered to us even when we reported the problem right after check in. Absolutely poor customer service from the hotel supervisor at the time. She lied so much to us when we confronted her with the lack of service. I will never ever go back to this hotel again!!!! |

Es un hotel histórico y por ese motivo quise ir pero no está en las condiciones adecuadas para su pretendida categoría. No funcionaban la calefacción ni las televisiones y había goteras en el baño. La respuesta al comentarlo en recepción fué que pena!. Un desastre |

Excelente ubicación. Aún tratándose de un hotel clásico, no se siente viejo. Ambiente agradable. Hay habitaciones minúsculas, lo mismo que la cama. Si se pide un cambio y hay habitación disponible, lo conceden. |
