The only con is there is no staff on sight.
The room was very clean. Easy check in. The bed was very comfortable and great location.
Some stains on the light colored carpet in high traffic area. A little Resolve would be a quick fix.
Loved the ease of booking and locations. Price was reasonable.
No parking, didn't know arrangement has to be made prior to booking...

The location is convenient in terms of travel, shopping and food.
1) the double bed and pull out were both terrible. Bed hard as a rock and pull out bed thin mattress allowing you to feel springs. 2) Wifi was always too busy and very slow. 3) No parking. 4) When I phoned and then emailed staff about bed - no response. 5) Not enough bedding.
Location was OK although you need to walk at least two blocks for restaurants.
No one cleaned the studio, changed bins or provided clean towels during my entire 3 night stay. I would like to be reimbursed for the cleaning charge that was levied. There was only 1 bath and 1 hand towel. The bed was too firm.

We were given the phone number for grand suites through booking.com and whenever we tried to call them to confirm out booking they never ever answer the phone!! However booking.com were helpful and could confirm things
The room was very clean plenaty of space for me and my friends . The pool was clean and had comfortable sun loungers . The kitchen provided was clean and had plenaty of utilities.
Bed was uncomfortable and parking can be an issue.

First off, you are not getting a hotel here, what you are getting is a studio apartment that's inside a very nice and newly constructed apartment building. That being said, there is no one to call if you need extra towels of if there is a problem with the toilet not flushing, etc. There is an attendant at the front desk however this person only serves the residents that live in the building. If you tell this person that you are staying in a rental suite and you need assistance, they immediately tell you to call the company that manages the rental suites for help. The problem is if you try to do that, no one answers. So if you do plan on staying here, you are pretty much on your own with no support should you need assistance. Additionally, the mattress in my room was absolutely terrible and the ben linens were a joke - not what I was expecting at all in the price point you pay to stay here. I also thought the $49 cleaning fee was unnecessary and should be a part of the nightly room rate as you get with any other traditional hotel or bed and breakfast establishment.
The location of Grand Suites is amazing - in the heart of Jersey City and walking distance to Grove Street and public transit. Also, The building is of new construction, has a beautiful lobby, and is very safe and secure.
