No hot water The TV had no remote to control the volume
The staff was EXCELLENT! The views were beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable.
There were two fund raising parties and a wedding. There were people screaming in the halls from 1 am to 4
A couple of years ago I stayed here....staff was rude...room was inadequate...there seems to have been a huge make-over...my stay this time was fantastic...
Excellent high end hotel with beach front location. super view and décor.
Location was awesome, right on the ocean and a short walk to convenience shops. Room and facilities were clean. Friendly Doormen. Nice fireplace and comfortable seating in the lounge.
Paper thin walls. Heard every conversation in adjoining room. View from room was hideous, bleak and depressing as we did not want to pay an additional $100/night to get an ocean view. The bathroom was a poor design. There is not enough water pressure to run the rain head and you got a cold soaking when you turned on the water supply. They provided great fluffy robes but no slippers. There is no in room safe, no coffee or tea and the little refrigerator, which was a nice feature made so much groaning noise that I had to unplug it to get any sleep. This is a glitzed up expensive hotel that has great potential, but needs some work. BTW, please tell the chef that you do not cut lettuce for a salad and please take that ghastly french onion soup off the menu until he/she learns how to prepare it properly.
Where do I start No parking. Broken climate control ( were provided a space heater!! Lol). Broken toilet flushers. Tv remote doesn't control volume of tv (had to get up and change on tv directly). Was told they couldn't program the volume for the new tvs. Had to switch rooms 3 times before I finally gave up on finding a room that had no issues and settled on the room with the least issues Upon checkout I was being charged double my booking.com rate and was being told my rate was per day not for 2 days which was the what we booked and the rate was the total for both days. They finally figured it out and gave me the credit. Bottom line it's a beautiful hotel on the beach that is poorly maintained if at all
Food very good but needs to be better
Excellent clean accomadations
The brunch was very expensive for such a small variety
Staff staff staff
Modern conveniences great restaurant and staff go out of there way to be helpful.
Great staff. From the doorman, to the bellboys to the desk staff, were all attentive and helpful. When we asked to be moved to another room, they put us on a ocean-front room where everything worked as expected.
The first room we were in lacked one of the two drape panels to cover the large window. They tried to adapt something on the fly but it was inadequate. The AC/heater would not heat, and finally the TV was nob functional. The wi-fi signal was week in both rooms.
The first night we stayed there was a dance party on the roof and the first floor until 11pm that you could hear like it was in the next room over - the noise control was terrible inside the builiding. Also, they didn't clean our room on the second day and told me it was because there was a note in the book on the desk if I had read it I would have known to put a tag on my door knob asking for clean towels. No offence, but I have a 9 month old baby in a hotel room, I don't have time to read the conceirge book. Wouldn't you think they would ask you to let them know if you did NOT want your room cleaned? seems odd. Additionally, we left for the day at 9 am and told them there was something wrong with tthe toilet and it would not stop running. When we got back to the room at 10:30 at night, the toilet was still running, and there were no clean towels. For $250 a night, I would expect my room cleaned and a working toilet.
The location, updated décor and proximity to the beach. We had fewer than optimal towels and when we called down via cell, the towels were brought up promptly.
Our room did not have the best ventilation regarding airflow and upon calling down to the front desk to request the engineer, we were assured that someone was on the way. No one ever showed and we had to endure a stuffy room all night. VERY Limited channel selection also.
Clean and modern feel.
Temp control confusing, I had to cool room down by opening window. No coffee, Weird shower head with suspect hand held thing. Low water pressure, not very hot water
Ambiance, Lobby, Bar, Restaurant, Modern feel, close to beach, restaurants, and bars.
The bed was very stiff and the pillows were seriously the worst my husband and I had ever slept on. They were overstuffed and hard. We both tossed and turned. But we got a great price on our room and overall experience was wonderful for celebrating anniversary.
The lounge was beautiful, grand pianos, a fire place, all set to the back drop of the ocean exceptionally romantic.
It is my opinion that wi fi should have been complimentary
friendly staff eager to help
Wifi in room did not work, phone in room did not work, had to use my phone to call front desk or went down to lobby.
We were bumping into each other in this small room. Bathroom didn't flush. I paid $250.00 for the room. Mhr. Michael said that he was sorry. No customer accommodation offered. Others in our party(wedding) had similar issues.
Lighting in the room and bathroom were so dim I was barely able to apply makeup. Floors were slippery and contained sand when we arrived. Our sleep was interrupted when at 5 am our alarm (that we did not set) went off. We woke again to a screaming baby on our floor and decided to check out.
There was a party next door going on until 4 am. I raised my concerns to reception 3 times. We asked to be moved and the receptionist said that if they hadn't quieted down by 2 am that we should call down again. When we called down again they still refused to move us and just kept sending security so things would quiet down and then just as we started to fall asleep we would be awakened by a raucous. When we checked out the next morning we weren't even asked how our stay was. The receptionist (different one than the one that we dealt with throughout the night) wouldn't even look us in the eye.
The staff was very rude. We had an issue with our air conditioner and the response by the front desk was that it was not that hot outside. Also we were given a "special rate" for my friend's wedding. However I found the room for $40 cheaper online.
walking on the boardwalk,
when we booked, we were told that we could get a beach view if it was available and then when we arrived we were told that it was available but it would cost $50-100 more….ridiculous isn't it?…..it was available but we had to pay, which we did….but it was a sideway view of the boardwalk, we could barely see the water…a total waste of additional money…..also..the t.v. did not work for local channels or for network channels..what kind of expensive hotel doesn't have t.v.?..also, the floor was sticky, also no real coffee shop, just a fancy restaurant
