The view of the room was nice
The two men at the front desk were beyond ride upon check in, they couldn't find my reservation, then they got nasty with me when I got upset. So I settled for a different room. The tv didn't work, the floor was dirty and I was sneezing from dust all night. I would not recommended coming here.
The room was well designed and immaculate. The ocean view was unbeatable , the restaurant facing the board walk was lovely and the food very good.
Problems with cell phone connection and internet service.
Closeness to beach/ocean. Near many restaurants and quaint shops.
Parking was challenging.
location and view
price was too high for what we got. Elevator not working big line ups because of a wedding. No Wifi working. No coffee in rooms. No fridge in rooms.
Room service. Food not hot or fresh. Wouldn't answer phone during states hours of operation
The location. Long Beach is a great town. While I was there a flee market was on the boardwalk with great trinkets and food. The beach is beautiful. A volley ball tournament was fun to watch. Felt very safe in the area even at night. Great restaurants in the area.
The staff appears afraid and intimidated by what I can only assume is upper management. I have seen this behavior in other business but not in the hospitality sector. Each hour that passed while I stayed there I encountered an issue with service and everyone of those issues was mishandled by the staff. Clearly Leadership at this hotel has created an environment of people who are disengaged. I not only would not recommend this hotel, I will make a point to share my experience with everyone I can. I suggest you take a hard look at your management and get someone in place that can motivate and engage the staff with positive reinforcement. You are in the hospitality business. A hotel filled with negativity and poor service cant possibly be your strategy.
Great location, beautiful beach, bar and lounge beautiful. Most staff members very friendly and courteous.
Elevator was out a good part Of the day. No drinks in the room. Shower is terrible.
No air conditioning Dirty floors in room Booked a king room Didn't have my reservation Overcharged me for smaller room
Pretty easy nice pool comfortable roon great bath/shower
No coffee maker in room
Staff are friendly and very helpful.
Lack of air , no phone, never got the oceanfront room I had paid for, poor internet.
Courteous staff tried to find us a room with working air conditioning. Sandy hit two years ago...cut your rates in half or fix the air conditioning. What a shame.
No a/c. Switched to room w view of duct work and only one bed. First room was very unsanitary. They only had 8 working beach umbrellas for all hotel guests. Underground beach access no longer exists.
The location and the cleanliness. Everyone was very nice.
Convenience to New York. Staff nice.
No bar or lounge area. Rooftop pool area could use a real tiki bar with food. Not family friendly. Need outdoor dining on main floor.
Service was terrible. Hotel elevator not working and had been out prior to arrival. Should have been fixed give only 2 for hotel. Rooms need updating. Stingy on amount of towels in rooms.
Magnificent beach. Comfortable and clean hotel.
Non negociable check in at 4:00 pm: But we saw a determined lady managing to obtain a free night for the same displeasing motive. The hotel's main attraction - the access to the beach - loses its shine when you have to wait out forever. This hotel is clearly understaff: for example, the simple maid service took 5 hours to be done!!! We asked something really simple four times, they promised to come to the room each time and nothing happened!!! Four times! The worst inconvenience for us was that an employee knocked at our door at 9:30 asking us when we will leave the hotel (check out time is 11:00 am). We even surprised her at 10:30 am opening our door which showed "private" and it in our absence. Bottom line: great beach - service totally sucks....and then some.
It was very clean
The staff the ladies not the gentleman was very rude never even said thank you. The restaurant made a mistake with the order 2 times and for the price it should be excellent. The waitress even had the audacity to give the check to the birthday lady in the table when he knew she was not paying because he put a note asking for her phone number. I found that very disrespectful. That has never happened before ever. Very unprofessional.
Great beach, staff was very helpful, beautiful building. Overall satisfied would stay again.
Loud repetitious music in lobby, only 1 washcloth for 2 guests, very stingy amount of bar soap, no air conditioning in room first night 86 degrees all night it took all day to be relocated
The bar was beautiful and the staff was wonderful.
There was no Air Conditioning in the Hotel lobby at any time. They do not have air conditioning available there. My room did not have air conditioning, it was "broken" and there was no room in the hotel to be moved. It wasn't fixed. The concierge was understaffed and stressed. Even during check in times and check out times, there was only one or two people working causing long lines. They were of little or no help. People were trapped in the hotel elevator for over an hour. There were only two elevators for the entire hotel. The restaurant was understaffed and we felt ignored. The menu was limited. The hotel charged a resort fee yet the pool would close to guests at 5 pm because of events. The bathroom on the floor of the bar closed to guests on Sat. night because there was an event. The hotel charged guests for parking. I would not recommend this hotel!!!
Restaurant service wasn't good (waitress have never been trained) and very very very expensive. Air condition broke down and no staff care about this even I called for many time.
We have recently stayed in Other comparable hotels in NY., as well as comparable standard hotels in Isarael, and value for money, they do far far more for the client than you do !! Room service, food portions, breakfast variety and cost, you pale in comparison.
Perfect location for relaxing and enjoying the beach! Free entry to the besch with the hotels beachcard, sunbeads, cabanas. Staff was kind, serviceminded, spes thanx to Max and Devon at the front desk, Jesus, Roberto in the restaurNt and Cathrin at the roof top poolbar! Keep it up!
A little bit cold in some parts of the hotel, mesasine level and restaurant. Cleaning of the rooms could be bether..
Beachfront location, rooftop pool and deck, bar area, cool restaurant which was very good. Junior staff at the pool and waiting staff in the bar and resto etc all of whom were faultlessly polite and helpful. Starbucks franchise in the foyer run by by very helpful lady with excellent coffee and inexpensive pastries, croissants etc for breakfast.
Rooms are small (typical of ny) aircon doesnt appear to work in any rooms and front desk management don't give a damn ($25 resort tax discount offered with a shrug or proposal to "send and engineer up" whilst knowing full well that the systems are completely ineffective) no coffee making, no hairdryer. One night including dinner for 4 adults cost between $500 and $600. No jfk shuttle service so be prepared to pay $60 each way in a cab.
I've booked this hotel hoping to have a nice stay at the beach. Be ready for long check-in/check out lines by not motivated and rude front desk staff (Michael). Beware: they tag on an additional $25 fee claiming that they are a resort hotel during summer months. Beware also that rooftop pool can be closed for the entire day for events without guests being previously informed. Room had water lick stains on the ceiling and there was mosquito action inside bathroom shower. In general staff was snobby and unpleasant.
price is high, no more ocean view room
