the getting at the check in . location cleanliness
The room layout was great. It wasn't large, but they utilized every bit of space they had. The outside deck, lounge area and pool were fabulous.
Shower door leaked, but other than that, the shower was quite nice.
Liked being right in town
This hotel was a delight. The bed and bath linens were of very good quality, the bed very comfortable, and the whole hotel has a young energy we really enjoyed. And they're madly pet friendly. We will be recommending this hotel to our friends.
The staff was wonderful and the location was spot on..I love that they foster a rescue every week from the local animal shelter too.
The pool furnishings could use some updating..
Staff including General Manager, couldn't have been more helpful. Lovely room with mountain views. Paradise for dog lovers!
Location Second floor openness Very dog friendly Walk in shower
Only minor item was due or location on Main Street, could hear some trucks and motorcycles.
Superb location for getting acquainted with downtown Asheville! Friendly and courteous staff. A slice of delicious coconut cake to welcome guests. Pet friendly.
Dogs allowed to swim in pool. Lighting in rooms is extremely low - one can barely see. A/C rattled.
Good location and easy to find. Comfortable hotel.
Everything! Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. View was like a postcard from the room. Firepit was a nice place to sit in the evening and talk with people from all over.
Don't trust your Garmin. It ended up telling us we were at the hotel when in fact we were at a McDonalds across town. We had to call hotel to get final directions. They were gracious in helping with that last step.
Aloft is perfectly located to enjoy the food, art and shopping scene of downtown asheville. We were traveling with friends and our dog, which the hotel was super in accommodating.
The one bed king room layout is super right and doesn't lend much privacy. We could hear some noise from neighboring rooms; it wasn't terribly loud, but loud enough to be disturbing in the mornings.
Adoptable dog in the lobby. Refillable glass water bottles with filtered water.
The shower/bath area was great. Nice shampoo/body wash! Location was amazing being downtown close to shops, restaurants and galleries. Staff was super friendly and everything was clean.
Small rooms - felt like I was in an airplane! For the money, it would have been nice to have some sort of complimentary breakfast items. The rooms had no microwave and a very small fridge without an icebox. Again, for the money, would have expected more.
Close to downtown.
Small room poor sitting area, 1 chair, bench with wall back rest under tv. Cleaning staff incompetent, had to ask for clean towels twice. Over priced
Hotel and room design, hotel bar with local beer, mountain views and overlooking downtown, comfortable room, short walking distance to downtown restaurants and music
nothing not to like breakfast is limited - but lots of restaurants around
Though the hotel was a little more "modern" than we are accustomed to, we never felt overwhelmed or out of place. I think you could spend two or three days just exploring all the awesome things the hotel has to offer. We ate at a local French restaurant at culminated our evening at the hotel bar where the bartender made great company and introduced us to some regulars to introduce more to Asheville. I couldn't ask for a better experience.
Can'the beat the location. It was right in the heart of the shopping and dining district and right across the street from a great food co-op. It was also quiet, comfortable and had a nice little gym.
Hotel was great location. Very modern decor. Staff was exceptional. The pool area was really nice.
garage parking was little hard to find at times, but hotel was sold out, so that is to be expected. There was nothing that we did not like. This was a great place to stay
Well layed out, modern, stylish rooms. Helpful staff - Room had all down pillows but staff rounded up foam ones for me; printed out online walking tour for us. Great lounge with elevated outdoor seating (great fireplace when chilly). Evening activities/events such as manager's reception, dance lessons, live music... Walking distance to tons of food, bars, galleries, shops. Super convenient parking is included. Pool deck/ fire pits open at night.
In-room air-conditioner pointed at one side of the bed and couldn't be aimed, so we used seat cushions to diffuse the air around the room. (mountain view room heated up during the sunny days).
Nice new hotel.
Poor shower curb design caused water to rain on floor with each use.
The room was great! (With the possible exception of the "what I didn't like" section.) The whole place seemed really clean and the lobby was a great place to hang out. The location is perfect and the staff was very friendly.
The room was great, but it would be helpful if you had more hooks around the room and near the shower. Also it would be nice if you had a mirror on the bedroom side of the room. I was traveling with a friend and wanted to give her full privacy on the bathroom side when she was getting ready so I didn't have access to any mirrors while she was on the bathroom side.
loved the location, decor, staff, cocktails in the wxyz. loved the set up of the shower-commode-sink... and the blue soap!
there was someone else's lunch left in our mini-refrigerator when we checked in... I disposed of it myself. the lack of closet space for two people staying a week required a work-around.
Dog run by pool, continual poopers while trying to enjoy pool. Wall it off from view.... Sometimes you need "key" to go to pool sometimes not. Not enough room cleaners.... delay in getting room and room cleaner in hall forever... we left at 9am came back and room cleaner wanted in at 2pm. Resv people unable to set up a room location before arrival, changed us as room was not ready. People were friendly tho........ especially on ck out....
