The modern feel.
All was good
pretty much everything
small shower (if 2 persons)
Overall great hotel
AC very inconvenient..Gets either to hot or to cold and with no AC remote you have to get up from bed all the time to modify. The AC is also loud.
modern design . friendly service . closeness to transportation . amenities and little "shop" in lobby
the rain . :(
Loved every minute of staying at Aloft. The only downside is the paper thin walls which wasnt great when being woken up by neighbours. Otherwise, I'd give it 5 stars.
The hotel was really nice and the staff was wonderful. I'm definitely coming back for a week or two, hopefully I can get some good deals. Lol
I dislike waiting for a room for three hours because they were booked up and paying $39 for a steak that wasn't good..
Good atmosphere and close to Subway.
Could hear the neighboor talk occasionally
I did ask to have a room in a quiet location and that was honored and that is not always the case
I was surprised that a little continental breakfast was not included since that is the case with its nearby competitor NU
The staff are young and really helpful, always said hello when I was walking in and out of the lobby.. when i was checking in a girl helped me she explained everything about the hotel and def made me feel very welcome!
I liked everything about the aloft best hotel I have stayed in while I visit new york.
2 minutes walk to a shopping street and a good number of restaurants, hotel bar and wifi was great.
Construction disturbed any attempt to take an afternoon nap. Hotel is wearing out and looks nothing close to photos displayed.
Friendly, helpful staff; great design; you could get food/snacks right in lobby; comfortable bed. Even though it is oriented toward a young-adult crowd, we (sixtyish) felt perfectly welcome and comfortable. Fun place.
Expensive! Due to location, everything is though. Definitely a good choice compared to others at similar prices.
larger room than most in the area
Hotel booked three rooms when we only booked one. It took a month to get it settled and reimbursed and they still owe us money.
The staff there were excellent! Down to earth and friendly! Their smiles reached their eyes! I would go back there again!
The construction outside. The guy who parks cars was rude
The front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was compact but had all the travel necessities including hair blower, iron, wifi and fridge. Although there was construction outside, it was quiet inside. The beds are comfortable. The only downside for me was the lack of a bathtub.
The heating unit was noisy and I missed having a bathtub although the shower was fine. The staff were able to provide me with a shower cap.
Your front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were fantastic, I would come again. I will recommend this place highly.
It would be nice to have a music station offered in the room. I think you guys should look into accepting online booking from reputation sources. If an online source requires a CC or debit to book that room, they are checking for validity. The guest should not have to produce the CC again at the front desk, the guest should be allowed to just present proper id, and allowed to just check in. Sometimes CC aren't always brought when traveling, some folks prefer cash or travelers check. If already booked online no need to present card again at front desk, just a suggestion.
the room and the lobby are so tired. looks so used up! No space in the room to turn around, not to mention to put your luggage.
I liked the cleanliness and polite staff.
I didn't like that they didn't allow me to put the incidentals on my credit card but that's nothing major.
Ongoing construction across the street..The noise made sleeping difficult
The decor, the location, the shower, the bar, the bed and the mini food court. The parking was convenient too.
The doors slam when left to close on their own and we didn't sleep well due to this and guests returning very late/early morning. We had a great stay overall, thank you.
I found booking.com listing to be a little deceptive. It came up on my search as Williamsburg. It is not in Williamsburg.
I liked the fact that with just a short walk I could be on the Q line and to Union Square within about 30 minutes door to door. The shower was great. Hot water and great pressure made for an enjoyable morning shower.
There is a lot of construction going on in the area but I see that as a sign of progress rather than a long term problem. I'm sure the area will be a little nicer looking once evertyhing is complete.
Pool table, atmosphere, staff, good room & shower, good bed. Area very nice, close to Brooklyn bridge and metro.
Some of the facilities (like the swimming pool) were shared with the Sheraton next door which felt awkward. The roof terrace was not a terrace but a club.
The staff is friendly. The room is very comfortable. Close to subway. Very convenient to go to Manhattan Free wifi
the hotel is surrounded by construction site... A nightmare to sleep well!
Nice rooms, good connection to subways
Construction next door
