Staff and room
Hotel staff was very nice. The hotel itself is lovely and well decorated.
The area was not the nicest for me. The train station was abit if a distance to walk to. They don't serve proper breakfast. Only cold take away stuff
I liked the location and the creative use of small space. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very hard though.
I felt the staff was a little bit in a hurry to get me checked in, even though there were no other customers waiting.
Staff, facilities, room, internet
No breakfast, location (far from main tourist places), price over-budget because of New Year's.
The atmosphere the room and the location to everything I needed to get to.
Trendy and hip character of the hotel Friendliness of the staff (& cool)
Wifi not always available
The hotel and room were very clean and the staff very nice and helpful. The location was very good, too. Even though is far from the tourist attractions, it is easy to get there using the metro or the bus. Both have stations very close to the hotel. Harlem was not as scary as I first thought it would be. Nice restaurants, nice people, and for the ones who fear it's bad reputation, good news. There was police all around the place. The hotel is situated really close to a police station. The staying there was an awesome experience and I would definetly return to this hotel if I go back to NYC
The bathroom door is not the best system, but it serves it's purpose. Parking is expensive, but you can choose to park the car on the street ( you will have to take it from there early in the morning, but it was cheap and I found it convenient)
everything, nice staff, clean rooms and hallways. the exercise room was wonderful. the bar was comfortable and relaxing. the whole hotel was just exceptional.
that I didn't have enough money to stay longer
The small market in the lobby. The decor and "vibe." The level of security. The layout of the room. The size and comfort of the room. The cleanliness of the room. The quality of the towels and linens. The big screen tv and free wifi
The bed was a little too firm, but that is just me.
Complimentary ice, water bottles, and tea. Free wifi
Free breakfast or happy hour would be nice.
Walking distance to Columbia, through gorgeous Morningside Park.
They didn't get the ac working properly. It didn't heat. The fan ran all time on high level
staff. stylish everything. Great Italian res nearby
New York is never going to be bargain basement
Everything. The room was beautiful, spacious and immaculate. Friendly staff and great location.
Should use glassware instead of plastic cups.
I love the layout of the room and the staff members are so on point and friendly. My room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
I don't think the heating/cooling system was working in room 420. But the bedding kept me very warm so it wasn't a problem.
Contemporary industrial edge with marvelous use of space. Warm open staff, very available, helpful. Creative, varied, inclusive well thought about food, snacks, for purchase. Very clean, clever, tasty holiday decor (Halloween). Best hotel experience I've had!!
The Bliss Products in the hotel that were complementary to guests, and the free Dasani bottled water that was also complementary to guests.
The first desk associate that checked me in. She got irritated with me and demonstrated it until I asked to speak with a manager
We loved EVERYTHING about this glorious hotel. It was somewhat unexpected to be so delighted with absolutely all aspects of this Aloft in Harlem! Can't wait to go back.
Location and comfortable bedroom
Noise from road works at 12.00am. Staff not very welcoming
This is a newly built, clean and comfortable hotel, a little out of the way for tourists, but comfortable and good value with a slightly funky (in a good way) vibe.
Why can't New York City keep it's streets clean? Outside of the expensive areas, there's trash everywhere. Comm'on New Yorkers, don't trash your great city!
The bedroom was nice and clean. The wifi was not that great.
The front desk. The staff were not at their best professional moment. The staff were always chatting and I had to wait for few minutes to get attention. The bar staff were slow event it was not a busy night. For the high price fir thus type of hotel, the staff should pay attention to the guest more and make it more hospitable.
-Close to a lot of things -The staff were very helpful and nice -Close to Trains -Our Rooms were always clean -WYXZ Bar was very nice
My husband and I were there because our son was under going his first cancer treatment. The hotel was close to where he was staying and food places. Everyone was helpful and friendly.
The pricing for fixed income was steep, but found that to be the norm for New York. Other than the pricing, for us, I have nothing negative to say.
Close to subway, in Harlem--safe environment, friendly and helpful staff, excellent bed and clean well laid out room. We'll be returning!
room is big and clear
