The staff was very friendly and I liked the simple contiential breafast in the morning. You can't beat the location to the Village, and they have 2 fun bars on site. It was a bit pricey at $200 a night for the experience I received in return; the bed looked inviting, but it was as hard as board. They should invest $200 per bed and put down a 2-4inch memory foam..it would make all the difference. If I wasn't able to secure a room elsewhere, I would consider staying there again, but would look for a much cheaper rate.

It is across the street from the Village Gondola which provides easy access to the ski-resort as well as village shops and restaurants. Like most ski resorts/hotels during peak season, it is a bit pricey for what one gets.

Location is excelent. Just cross the street and you are at the Village and Gondola. The room was very big and comfortable, with 2 tvs, fireplace, cofee machine... Not much water pressure in the shower. But that was not a problem

Location, staff, wifi in the rooms, lobby area, breakfast was much improved The rooms, bathrooms, spa area are dingy and dated. They seem like they havent been improved for 30 years. Bring the bathrooms into the 21st century! Make the spa area and restroom less funky!

Perfect location across from main village and ski lift - great bar and restaurant and hot tub within complex. This place is really traditional and has a certain old fashioned appeal!! We had to ask to change rooms as we had no water pressure on our shower - you need a good shower after skiing. Also rooms were a bit dated - could do with a refurb for what they charge. The pillows were awful and very cheap!!

Location! Across the street from the Village and Gondola - hard to beat that. Breakfast area is too small - inconvenient and not enough space to even sit down.

nice room Don't appreciate the misleading advertising. Booking.com had "2 rooms left" for date in question then 2 days later had "soldout" for the same date(day before arrival). Upon arrival, I found only 4 cars in the parking lot the next morning. Does that sound like "sold out"? Don't appreciate being played to create business. You made it look like a hot item when it wasn't.

The restaurant was excellent. Very small points - the lighting could be improved (difficult to read) and could be more modern.

It was better then I suspected, room was very clean and well decorated, seems a bit dated on the outside (furniture in rooms - at least the one we had - seemed rather new and "modern" ), but that adds to the charm of the hotel, hotel has a lot of commodities on place, restaurant, bar, free internet, so in the end absolutely no deception Hotel seems a bit dated, but as said earlier that adds to the charm of the hotel, for the rest no complaints

Alpenhof Lodge is just steps away from the center square of Mammoth Lakes. Parking is free as well as the pool facility. The rooms were large enough, clean and comfortable. Overall we had a pleasant stay at the Alpenhof Lodge. The only serious drawback is the very poor breakfast. You can have breakfast in a tiny corner of the entrance with only 2 chairs (!) meaning it's quite packed in the morning. The reception guy takes care of the breakfast ingredients, I.E. it's quite poor and messy. Better go to the starbucks just 200m into the city center..

Location. Close to everything. The bathroom was terrible. The shower is very small and no bathtub if you have small children. The water barely trinkled out and went from hot to cold.
