mold, some nonfunctional lighting, shower was more of a drizzle. The facility is showing its age.
Busy noisy road, limited off street parking
Large room, location convenient to the far end of Chestnut St.
Rude staff. Smell in the room. Limited parking. Overpriced.
Location. Spacious room. I requested a fridge and microwave and they attended it.
Unfriendly clerk. The room was awful. The curtain was coming off the wall, walls were dirty, poor lighting, low battery in the remote for TV.
I am partly disabled. The stairs were a struggle for me.
Full basic range of amenities, plus desk, table, sofa, armchairs; room to spread and relax.
the furniture looked a bit shabby but I didn't mind for the price
free on site parking, HUGE rooms
There is no heater in the room, not clean and not enough towels.. Very bad
The room was dated and the bathroom a bit average but it was all clean. Pool wasn't open but it was too cold to swim, but I think it was heated which would have been nice. Very very noisy road, didn't realise it when we booked, would probably have stayed elsewhere had we known.
The staff here are lovely and very helpful. We were able to store our bags for the day after we checked out which made our last day in San Francisco very easy.
A bit dated and run down, but we didn't go to SF to sit in the motel.
Excellent location and price.
The first night the room was freezing, it felt colder than it was outside and there was no heat (or ac to turn off) that I could find and the tiny space heater provided didn't work. My room was directly on Lombard St and it was really noisy with cars driving past.
The shower worked well and the bed was relatively comfortable (although it needed another blanket).
No elevator and limited parking
Lots of room and free wifi
Out dated deco and dirty
Location is the only good thing about it
Though it was pretty clean hotel, but beds are very old and worn an there was bad smell from the blanckets
Good location in SF downtown
The room was not clean. there was no mattress pad and poorly fitted sheets. The heater didn't work and a lamp was broken.
Convenient location, some onsite free parking
I know that $100 a night more or less for double room is not much, but for this 1-2* motel its a lot and they could invest more money in changing the smelly carpets, the ripped curtains and to provide proper heaters in the room. Cold was blowing under the front door all the time too, they better check this.
The location was ok, close to the Golden Gate bridge, the Chesnut street where there are good cafe shops and bars, several stops from the Fisherman wharf. Better to take the buss if you want to go downtown or to the Piers, because it takes a while. The free wifi is a bonus and the room has been wiped every day. Its fine for 1-2 days just to sleep, nothing more.
clock & coffee pot didn't work, things were unplugged, mold on bathroom ceiling, parking very tight, room was not in the same bldg. as pictures
Parking! Size of parking slots is just 6 inch wider then a car! If you've got a full-sized car, you've got a problem. No breakfast.
Inexpensive. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Coffee is available at the lobby at any time. Kitchen zone in the room.
Parking not guaranteed.
Free parking. Close to Golden Gate Bridge.
Location and neiborhood
Swiped card twice without our consent pending eventually returned Very noisy road Ensure get rear room
Good location, low price if on budget, cleaner good
there were no ice machines or vending machines. some of the physical status of the overall facility was run down, but this was due to age not cleanliness.
for the cost, this was an excellent value. The owner was extremely friendly. There was free parking-at a hotel in SF this is important and much appreciated.
-WiFi was very dodgy -As was 4G coverage -Marina District is a safe area, but certainly a bit of a bus ride to downtown/castro
-Horseshoe Tavern nearby was fun. -I was able to snag one of the limited free parking spots. -The rooms and halls are securely locked down, and the bed/sitting area were both large and comfortable
The room was not very clean. The chairs were burnt and had stains on them, the sheets had a smoky smell even though the room was no smoking. And it was very cold at night, since the heater wasn't working (or what we thought was a heater).
The location was pretty good, a 10 minute bus ride from pier 39, walking distance from the park. Wifi was okay and staff was pretty friendly.
No elevator Furniture in room ( chairs at table was stained and very dirty) Having a cracked window, could hear everything going on outside
the staff was friendly Location was only 3 miles or less from Fishermans Warf
