Location... Maybe

Filthy room, Smelly.. Dirty. I was afraid I would bring bed bugs home or something. Shower curtain smells like pee. There was a hole on the bathroom wall and mold on the ceiling. The only positive thing was with that horrible hotel room, I felt like staying out as much as possible. So I got to know a lot in San Francisco.

very near transport and a 24 hour shop right across the road.Lots of places where to eat and a great selection of prices.

The room was cleanbut the windows were very dirty and the outside of the building,doors and car park was very dusty looking and not tidy.we were told tjhe pool was not working so no swimming for 5 days and it was because of the poool we booked the acc.no money refunded!!we were told by the older guy if we were not happy to leave!!very shocked at his reply!!!

Room size and commodities would have been ok if it was clean and in a good shape. the suite we had was in the old building and very disappointing!

Windows dirty, chairs disgusting, wall papers have to be renewed, furniture old and dirty, my daughter has been bitten by bed parasites, bathroom cleaness just acceptable, I wonder why such hotel is in booking.com?

good location. close to all atraccion, pier 39 pier 33 etc.

window drapes was very dusty . ac. unit need to be clean. shawer caulking is full of mold.

Big rooms, good idea with sink and frig in a corner. Liked the table and chairs, the desk, and the free wifi. Adequate parking great value for the money.

Only two hard chairs, could use soft desk chair, better spot for toilet paper, repair broken towel rack. If pool is heated, should indicate it is seasonal. No ice and office was closed on Sunday for coffee.

Good staff and the room was clean and very spacious

To much noise from the outside during the night. My room was at first floor in front of the Lombard street.

Parking (but note: I think I was there in off peak season - may be more difficult during peak), very large spacious rooms with sofa, satellite tv, good sized bathroom and sleeping area. close to some good dining options and a Walgreens. Good public transport options close by.

There have several shop nearby the inn,only 50m away,and also have gas station, parking is free, there have micro dove and refrigerator,we can hot food ourselves.

Every USA inn's AC is noise.So there have nothing to complain.

For the price, the suite was a nice size and the room was clean. Local businesses were in right across the street and in the neighborhood, which made it easy and comfortable to feel part of the community.

The curtains were not properly hooked unto the curtain rods...a little effort on the hotels behalf could have fixed the unsightly attention to the curtains.

second time we've stayed herer in last two years great location good value. it is not a for star hotel but doesn't claim to be. we will be staying there again

I've stayed at Alpha Inn for many years in December. It is a comfortable, clean place, especially for the money. The location is wonderful since it is very close to many great restaurants, coffee houses, shopping, and a 24/7 Walgreens right across the street from the motel. The staff is so pleasant and accommodating.

There is nothing I did not like about the Alpha Inn. I plan to return, god willing, next December 2013.

not bed, I think for this money you will not get better place

Great owner who couldn't have been more accommodating both in letting me check in early and then at the end check out late. The room was great, very comfortable bed, large room with a couch, efficient shower and bathroom and free wifi. This was an easy commute to downtown San Francisco and a lovely walk to the ocean. Definitely recommended.

A very nice place, clean room together with friendly reception. However, an elevator was missing and we had to go to the 4th floor by stairs.

Good location. Inexpensive, very clean. FREE parking.

Pretty small, but for the money it was to be expected. Not that big of a problem.

Nice room, okay price

I fell down because the floor was slippery and one of the staff members saw it all and didn't offer any help. The tv never worked. My son tried to take a bath and they called us because the tub was leaking to the room downstairs.

The staff was helpful, letting me know where to get the bus, and responded to my requests. There were plenty of helpful brochures too. The room, although a little rough around the edges, was clean and filled all my basic needs, with a king size bed, refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot in room. Juice was provided in the office in the morning. There is a 24 hour drugstore across the street too! The parking is free, along with near the bus stop, and a very low price in comparison, which is why I chose this place.

My daughter slept on the couch, because the bed was not comfortable to her. I did not mind the stairs, but was surprised to find the room was on the third floor, with no elevator - It would be nice if that information was provided through booking.com. The microwave was really old, with a 30 minute dial timer, but worked. They do not have ice. (24 hour store is across the street, though!)

value for money location - relatively close to the Golden Gate Bridge and Fisherman's Wharf good transport connection lots of pubs/bars on the nearby streets food store across the street

We booked a smoking room because there was no non smoking available. But with check in we had a upgrade so that was very nice. And location was great. 5 minutes walk from the long beach. 10 minutes walk to the tram that take you downtown and iff you want it takes you to hollywood blvd. The ride takes one hour, but it takes also one hour by car so..... A lot of nice restaurants are in the neighborhood.

Swimming pool likes big on the picture but it isn't. But its nice after you went to the beach, you can take a nice dip in the clean water.
