location and rate
older construction need to be renovated. we were the only one there on the night we stayed
Nothing worked, the overall maintenance was totally lacking. Toilet was loose, paper holder broke, no safety latch on front door, hole in bathroom door, Queen sheets on King size bed kept coming off, TV remote did not work correctly.
location comfortable beds size of complex
toilet rocked when you sat down bathroom floor dirty no info on how to work tv wifi strength poor no ambiance
Heat lamp in bthroom
Heater broke and comforter stained.
Dirty, moldy room! Sheets weren't washed. Toilet was coming loose at the base. Graffiti on the doors. Requested a non smoking room; was given a smoking room. Not worth it. Person on duty couldnt work the credit card machine properly. Owner tried to overcharge me and didnt want to refund the nights I didnt stay there. If you must visit Helen and there is no availability, stay in another town and drive!
I didn't like anything
They made arrangements for us to be on 1st floor and close together. Also requested Handicap room late, they were able to help with this as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful
Had to go ask for coffee, there was a pot but none in the room. Its an old hotel so was a little musty smelling.
Location; Price; Very quite.
Toilet paper out in bathroom; No bath cloths in room - had to track down management and obtain.
Moldy dirty linen and pillows, wet carpet, flying insects, insect nest behind nightstand, outlets and toilet paper holder hanging out of wall, leaking faucet, stains on walls, coffee maker broken and filthy, furniture falling apart, pool was green! Etc etc..We did not shower and left early morning. Everything was booked so other alternative would have been sleep in the car or drive a 2 1/2 hr drive home which we did in the morning. Just hoping we didn't bring more than just a bad experience home with us. (Bed bugs etc) One word sums up that hotel disgusting! Can't believe that the Dept of Health of ga hasn't shut them down
I could not sleep by other castumers, they was drunk and made huge noises
Staff were great! Was quiet not to noisey ..considering the location.
2 words: worn out
Mattress worn out.
Location and price
There was no top sheet and the comforter was clearly not cleaned regularly if at all.
This motel is pet friendly and has wifi. Location was close enough to the festhalle, but too far to walk after a night after Oktoberfest. Easy check in and check out.
Our rooms did not include a fridge nor microwave. Just like any other motel didn't feel clean enough. Found a water bug in my bed the next morning, spider on my wall, and mold in the restroom. We basically stayed here for the cheapness and pet friendly location. Spent all day celebrating Oktoberfest so we didn't mind the dirtiness. For those of you who do, beware.
It was a close walk to the shops and restaurant.
Even at the low price much should be done to improve upon the property inside and out. You can wash sheets for only so long. Pillows are still being made, throw the bag of lumps away.
This hotel is the absolute worst! Beware! Stay away! We checked in and upon arrival, the girl at the desk had no idea on how to work the credit card machine and stated she had only worked there for four days and the Manager would be in later, I checked in and went to the room only to be disgusted with the first room, there was duck tape at the threshold holding the carpet down, the room had a unclean smell and upon further inspection found that the tub had stains that had not been cleaned, the carpets were nasty and the fronts of the dressers were literately falling off. The next shocker was, we pulled the comforters back and found that the sheets had not been changed at all and the comforters had stains from long ago that had never been washed. I went back to the front office and asked for a clean room, the receptionist said that she would give me another room next door and apologized. We then proceeded to the next room, which was even worse, Back up to the front desk and the girl that checked us in walked back down to the room along with a gentlemen, who was supposed to be house keeping and asked if she was put her head on those pillows, that looked as if they had never been cleaned and had surely never been replaced, she stated, no she would not sleep on this bed at all, The gentleman became argumentative with me that he had cleaned the room even though I showed them both dirty boot prints in the floors and the nasty sheets and comforters. They both assured me that they would removed the linens and they would be washed and replaced before we returned. We realized that this hotel was being used for what appeared to be a transient flop house, but had not choice but to stay the night since everything was booked for Oktoberfest. We went into town for a bit and came back to find that the manager had finally arrived, I was so taken with the entire experience, that I told the manager we would not be staying the second night.
Mattress on bed to hard
Old and they dont spend any money upgrading the place. Very dirty, holes in the wall, pillows were paper thin. We decided to just leave. It was the worst place I've ever "stayed" at.
We booked our room for $179 for Friday-Monday, Labor Day weekend. We we arrived we were told that it would be double the price even thought they had the confirmation paper with the price we were suppose to stay. Since everything was booked that weekend, we had no choice but to stay. We tried to talk to the owners but they would not even speak to us. We have stayed twice before and never had a problem but we will never go back again. We found roaches in our room We also asked them not to go in our room and came back from shopping and they had made our bed and it looked like our stuff had been gone through.
Hole in bathtub that someone tried to fill with filler, gnats everywhere in room, carpet was stained and damp, dresser drawers broken, lampshades stained, lampshade broken, dirty grout stains around toilet, toilet would not flush without holding handle down, magic marker scribbles on walls and door, bad tv reception, extremely slow wifi, advertised pool, which was green when asked about it they said they closed it because they couldnt afford chemicals, beds sheets were too small no fitted sheets they kept coming off bed.STAY Somewhere else !!! overall nasty!!!
good hot shower
charged an extra $6.00..bed was very uncomfortable..and really bad pillows..furniture broken. very outdated..old tv with bad reception..had to wiggle cable to get halfway descent picture.
The toilet has a sanitary paper strip on it, so it must have been clean...NOT!!!
Bugs everywhere, someone spit on the wall, towels from previous guests in bathroom, coffee pot had about a half inch of coffee in it and it was covered in mold, shampoo gave me rash, sheets had hair on them, smelled like someone died there. Owner did not care. Maid called me a lair....
the beds had slopes in the middle of them both, the tv remote didn't work & half the channels was fuzzy, smoke detector was hanging off the wall with NO batteries, the toilet was NOT CLEAN, around the bottom, shower did NOT work. I WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN
The staff was friendly & the room was nice.
