If you are willing to walk for an hour to get to Hollywood boulevard and to play tourist, then it's worth staying here to save money. The actual rooms aren't that nice but okay if you ain't picky. The beds are comfortable though. I wouldn't take a shower there.
Has some history, cheap, clean, excellent location, good WiFi !
Just basic but good for the money !
Location, history and very reasonably priced, not flash just great to stay for a few days especially if you want to party on The Strip.
Stayed there 14 years ago and it could do with new carpet and bed covers but sheets and towels very clean.
It's close to the Sunset Strip, and it's pretty cool that Jim Morrison stayed there for awhile.
Traffic noise and other guests kept me awake ALL night! Walls must be paper thin, or else my neighbors were just really loud. I got no sleep when I stayed here. I've slept better in my car.
Price, and location.
Small shower, and devices fall out of plugs in the walls.
Bed too soft Old - Rooms could use some updating
Great location. It's not the Ritz but if you're on a budget then it's perfect. Has everything you need.
No fridge and No Iron.
Total dump. The worst motels I've ever stayed at. Expensive, noisy, dirty floor, uncomfortable bed, cold shower water, and bad service, rude behavior. Even half an hour I together with my husband waited for in the cold night as nobody check in and locked the door. Additionally, 8 USD per day for parking.
The room needed many updates. It was old and their was mold on the ceiling in the shower. The bathroom window would not close so I did not feel safe. I would not stay here again even though the price was good.
I stay here every month for a week. The room is always clean, the staff know me by name, and I couldn't ask for a better location. On my last visit I arrived five hours before check in and they were kind enough to store my luggage until check in time.
Everything was great. They have begun renovating the rooms. My room had brand new flooring. Best stay yet.
location and spacious room
the shower door would not close properly and is was fairly basic
Right between Santa Monica boulevard and sunset, in the middle of west Hollywood
Rooms are a bit of a time warp with poor maintenance, showers are poor
The beds were really comfortable. We had problems with our car and the manager was very nice with us, he let us borrow his phone every time we needed it.
The parking lot is really small
The front desk couple were sweet and made me feel welcome
I was surprised how comfortable the bed was and how clean the bed was. We slept really well. It was quieter than expected.
I was afraid to walk on the carpet barefoot and the shower had a couple of ants and wasn't very clean. This was the first hotel I've had to pay before check out... kinda weird.
Management attitude of being there for them, not for you. Insisting on cash for, such as, parking. Interruptions all through the night with the guests that this hotel attracts. Ignore the address of Hollywood. There are grim elements to the neighborhood.
Location and proximity to going out scene in West Holliwood; wifi
It is extremely basic, old, a bit stinky, quite noisy place. The bathroom is not a plus. Airco was not working. Overal an oke place if you spend one night and basically come back to it from the bars but nothing more
this hotel is in a great location... there is no amenities and is not the greatest hotel but it wasnt bad for what we used it (which it was just for sleep)
no amenities price
close to Hollywood and Beverly Hills
not so clean, also you can't leave your lugagge at the front desk to storage like in normal hotel/motel but you have to pay 50$ (!!)
-the room stunk! I had to buy Lysol spray. -the carpet was wet -the blankets felt dirty -ants in the sink -1 of 3 lights worked -neighbors were smoking pot in their room I can't believe I actually paid to stay at this motel. (I feel it's the kind of place that rents out hourly)
very obvious anger/communication issues.
it was the cheapest i could find
it was loud around here always. AC barely worked holes in walls. it was dirty but the price was right
The fact that Jim Morrison lived here and that is that old style American Motel.
We had booked a long stay so I could settle my daughter in for an Internship. The Manager/Owner not clear wanted full payment up front rather than the usual swipe the card and settle the bill at the end of the stay. They somehow managed to swipe one of my cards, have it not pay out but block the funds in my account, the second card was swiped Ok and they got money. they then chased me every day for cash. It ended up after five days with the police being called, I settled my account and left the next day, and found a lovely place with a pool, in weho for a few dollars less. This is my worst ever Bookings.com reservation. Usually they are perfect.
