VExcellent location, very good price, good breakfast (for one laid out in the lift lobby) and free drinks/snacks every night made for a meeting point to start the evening. No bar - but I knew this when booking. |

The breakfast and afternoon receptions. Location was excellent, the room was comparable to those in hotels 2 to 3 times the price |

First of all the location is perfect.I liked that the hotel was not a huge skyscraper. It felt very intimate, and that the staff knew who you were. No long treks to the elevators or reception area. I loved the breakfast set-up, and also the evening cocktail reception. The Amalfitinis were great. The beds, pillows and linens were terrific, like sleeping on a cloud. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Amalfi as a great place to stay. |

The staff were cordial and helpful. The continental breakfast is excellent. They are pet friendly and don't charge for it. This is a big plus in Chicago where other hotels charge from $50 - $150 to allow a pet. The hotel is shabby, carpets dirty, our desk chair had a rip in the upholstery. The lobby is tiny, spartan with no place to relax - not welcoming at all. |

location no proper room for the breakfast: it is served in the hallway in front of the elevator. You then have to eat in your room as there is no table there. room was oldfashioned |

We really enjoyed: 1.The robes, slippers and continental breakfast right on our own floor 2. The evening cocktail hour was wonderful. It gave us all a time to gather and discuss our day and future plans. 3. usa paper every morning 4. The double shower head was great! Have to get one at home. 5. easy check-in. 6. Doorman right there all the time. Very safe feeling. 7. We were able to store our luggage after check-out until our departure time 8. Very kind and helpful staff ( These are not in any order) Thanks for a great stay!! We'll be back and tell our friends and family about our stay. You can't do anything about it but the vacant building across the street didn't give a good feel. |

Amalfi provide free breakfast and after work colotail drink, that is already a bonus. Also I can check it much ealier and defer my che out time to suit my flight without any extra charges. So I love this hotel. I think the corridor and longue could re-design in order to suit the personality much. But idneed it is not essenital. |

The quiet location. Comfortable bed, good linen and bath amenities. Anniversary champagne and chocolate strawberries. Nice front desk staff. Great City to visit, Buddy Guy, Jazz, Blues, The Lyric Opera, History and Art museums, great restaurants, so much to see and do.... Room on the small side. The Concierge at the top of the John Hancock building was really helpful... |

Cleanliness of the room. I like to bring to your attention on two male attendants at the front desk on the morning of January 14. We had arrived early that morning. Both of them glanced at us coming in but did not vervbally acknowledge us. One person (black) was studying his latin subject, the other was just staring at his computer. I approached the balck attendant, then he looked at me without a hello or a smile or good morning. I was appauled at the reception we received at your hotel! I will be sure to write the same review on the booking.com. The reception we received was totally unacceptable! The only staff that treated us with friendliness were the two females. Rest of the male staff treated us cold! |

I liked the pleasant attitude of the staff, although one of the concergie people really wasn't very good about know where city things were. Still, the doorman (men) were great. The decor was comfortable and modern, the room was neat and clean and quite. The breakfast was more than adequate. And I liked the price. Great to have 'No Smoking'. And did I say I liked the price? |

Everything was awesome, the staff was really friendly, the room was really nice and clean. The location is awesome, a few blocks from some of the major touristic points. I really liked the lounge with the free drinks and appetizers every day from 5 till 7, you can save some money. Parking is a bit expansive but is Chicago and everywhere you go is the same price. If you want to stay in a really good hotel, friendly staff, and an awesome location this is the place to go. |
