Our stay at the Amalfi Hotel was outstanding right from the beginning - the bellman that greeted up to the hostess that checked us in. "Annie" was the event specialist that provided such a warm welcome. It was a special event (my wife's 50th birthday) and she made it even more special providing us a luxurious suite, a complimentary bottle of champagne and a special note that surprised us on our return to our room later in the evening. She must be commended on an outstanding job! The manager's cocktail hour with appetizers was an added bonus, in addition to the continental breakfast that was plentiful. We will definitely include the Amalfi Hotel in our plans the next time we're in Chicago! |

The staff were so friendly and helpful. I needed to send an important fax back to my home state and the staff member helping me stayed until it went through and informed me when it went through. When my family needed anything, staff answered the phone quickly and they were so helpful. |

Room was large and very clean, furnishings attractive. Good location, Wireless internet at no extra charge. Breakfast was served near elevator on a different floor. There was no place to sit and no trays to take food to the room. Parking ( valet) expenisve $44 per day. Nearby parking was less but still expensive. |

Very comfortable beds and a nice breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful. Harry Caray's restaurant and bar is right across the street and if you're on that side of the hotel you get a lot of noise. |

Nice to be able to put the bathrobe on and lean back and have breakfast in bed. And yes, the beds were super comfortable! The coctail hour and hors d'oeuvres were a very positive surprise! Breakfast should include a larger selection of bread as well as cheese, ham etc. Now there were almost only sweet things to choose from. |

Proximity to the city center. Good value for money. Breakfasts. Would prefer the normal breakfast where people get together, sit around the table and enjoy their breakfasts together. I was on a different floor from my colleagues and would have preferred to enjoy breakfast with them. |

Enjoyed having breakfast on every floor. Very good service. Our room as fine after we changed from smaller room. I like a room with a reading chair, so they were able to change me. Clean. We really enjoyed our visit. The fact that I had asked for a larger room on arrival. Did not get, had to phone and ask at which point we moved all our belongings which was a wasted effort and lots of frustration. Could have been avoided if reservation desk had listened to my requeast. |

My husband and I planned a three night getaway to Chicago to celebrate our Birthday and Anniversary. I read reviews from various hotels in the area and chose the Amalfi Hotel because it offered everything we were looking for. Boy did it live up to our expectations. It actually exceeded them. The staff was friendly and very attentive. We booked a room with a king bed and found ourselves in a deluxe king suite with an incredilbe view. Free continental breakfast and Happy Hour just added to the class this hotel bestows. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you Amalfi for making our stay so memorable. |

We enjoyed to appointments of the hotel and the central location to the city. We like to walk around Chicago and have always stayed south of the loop, this hotel was much better suited to walking to all the attractions. |

The hotel was very nicely located, with amenities such as wifi and continental breakfast included which other hotels charge an arm and a leg for. The hotel room was very clean and spacious. I would recommend this hotel to all friends and family and would stay here again when visiting Chicago. try not to get rooms that are beside the ice machine, but goes for any hotel I guess. |

Perfect location for exploring the windy city - lots of restaurants and bars in the neighbourhood and close to mag mile shopping. This was our third stay at the Amalfi and the hotel is not as "fresh looking" as it was the first times we stayed. |
