Ambassador East Hotel

Old fashioned, clean, fairly plush with aircon & a comfortable bed. A couple of basic PCs available for internet access - very useful. Plus a gym with just enough equipment. Value for money depends on if you can get a deal which I did.

Didn't try the restaurant as it was very expensive (though allegedly famous). Horrendously overpriced snacks left on the desk in my room looking like they'd been there when it first opened.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. cost was good for city location but hotel room hhad badly worn carpet and no exhaust vents in bathroom. It's location is in a batiful residential part of the city.

The staff was extremely friendly, and very helpful. The rooms are pretty good size, and the bed is very comfortable.

Honestly, not that it really mattered, but the elevators move VERY slow. And the stairwells are kind of dirty.

Old world charm,and in a good neighbourhood

the heater in the room was noisy.The sink in the bath room was cracked.The water did not run away down the plug hole in the bath freely

Location and excelent quality for that price.

Cleanliness of our bathroom was not good enough although we accept to reuse towels and sheets

Great location; nice lobby and fireside seating; historic Pump Room jazz bar had terrific music; front-door valets were very nice and super helpful

Really cheap, flimsy robes; room was a little shabby (picture missing glass; worn out bath tub, cracked toilet seat fixture). Would have been ok for cheaper hotel, but expect better in this price range.
