Front desk staff very helpful and informative.
Not enough towels, wash cloths, and toilet paper. House keeping did not leave enough supply for the amount of people staying in our room (4).
Central and easy access to Waikiki beach and dining.
Seeing homeless people. People looking through the rubbish bins
Secure and comfortable.
The room was very clean and roomy. It has a wrap around lanai which was great. The room is well insulated so there is no noise from outside or from other rooms. The staff is friendly and courteous. I will definitely return.
The location was excellent for beach , restaurants and shoppong. Loved the water dispensers. Pool was good. Concierge and main desk staff helpful and attentive.
Room was very dated although clean. There were 4 in our group but dishes and utensils for 2 .
The size of the room and just about every thing else.
No food stock in the refrigerator.
Excellent location. In the heart of the city.
Dated and tired. Sour smell from kitchen area.
staff and service was good
not airport shuttle or to go around no resturant
The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Upon arrival, we received a complimentary upgrade on both of our rooms, a very pleasant surprise! Our upgraded rooms included a 1 bedroom suite, we were staying with our 3 older children, 32, 14 and 12. So the larger room and bedroom allowed them enough room not to get in each other's way, as much. And gave my oldest daughter some privacy. My husband and I had a room with a kitchenette. It was large and clean with 2 full size beds. The front desk, even made sure that we were all on the same floor and only a few rooms apart, excellent customer service. This was our first time staying at the Ambassador, but we'll definitely be back. Were already making plans for next Halloween!
The only thing that I can say that was hard was that the hotel parking was sold out when we got there. It was partly our fault as we checked in late, around 7:30pm. So we wee directed to the old Nike bulking about a half block down the street, this would have been ok, but my daughter started work @ 5:30a the next day and she couldn't get her car out, because the parking lot doesn't open until 7am. Well just make sure to check in early next time. Or see if we can pay for hotel parking before hand.
Location is great, close to everything, far enough away from Wakiki Beach night life to get a peaceful nights sleep! We have chosen the Ambassador 2yrs in a row now as we need a place the last few nights of of our stay in Hawaii!Mahalo!
Springs in my bed were a bit uncomfy. Confusing to get pool towels, must go to floor #2 housekeeping for towels , pool on floor #3 ...WHY?
Everything was great. Staff lovely, on arrival we got a free upgrade. Had an amazing time and can't fault anything, would Definately stay here again!
Patio even though no chairs and more space.
The extra 20$ for amenities charged and shower was stained and looked dirty
The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were great and the hotel had a bus stop directly out front that took you out to alba moana shopping centre and also to diamond head, we also received free water bottles which is an excellent idea.
There was nothing to dislike about this hotel
Noisy air conditioning Toilet running non stop Flaking paint on bathroom walls
- 15min walk to the beach - enough bars and restaurants around the hotel
- staff at reception was not very polite - with open window traffic very loud
Staff very friendly and helpful
Smelly sheets No coffee maker Excessive parking fee Excessive resort fee loud a/c leaky bathroom vent small tv in room
The view The pool
No chairs or tables, lighting on the balcony
too loudly and broken aircondition i need to open the window then endure the loudly
Location was good, nice pool,
Lifts were very slow, lot of noise from outside the hotel
Location was "OK"
We pain xtra for a kitchenette and it was not equiped w/ any plates only had 2 cup 2 fork 2 spoons no coffee or coffee pot we had to req. The coffee pot they did not even provide coffee there were tiny bugs all over the kitchen sink, the restroom seat needed to be replaced the decor was outdated the dresser we had was coming apart on the top . the pictures of this hotel "LOOKED NICE" but when we arrived it was far from nice....... The whole place is old and outdated . also there was no free parking on a first come first serve basis it is 25$ a day!!! Not at all happy with the decison to book at this location will never stay or recommend this place to anyone ...
The location was in easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants
It was really old and run down and whilst the staff were pretty friendly it lacked a " professional " feel ! We only had a stopover but I won't be studying there again
I would like to live there in Hawaii
Seeing homeless in the parks during the day ...looks untidy
good deal on booking price
managers attitude! I rentred bike at the front desk. The bike got stolen even if it was locked infront of the Shopping mall. He requested 400,00 dollars for it even if the bike was brand new 295,00 in the store. His explanation was that I signed a paper before I rented the bike on which this was written. Yes this was really written, but he never mentioned to me that I will have to pay 400,00 dollars for stollen bike, he just said signe here and here. I tought that he needs the signature just for information who rented the bike and in which room is located. His intention was to make some extra money for the Hotel and not to help guest who had a back luck with this bike... He did not want to listen to anything all what he was saying was "You signed the paper and that is all that matters!" I travel and stay in Hotels around 50-200 days a year for last 35 years and never had such a expiriance with such a person!!! I do nto recomend this Hotel to anyone because if you will have any problem there you will not be able to solvit with this idiot!
