The bed was very comfortable.
The giant cockroach that came into room.
It was quiet. The owner/manager older adult was very nice.
found heavy film of dust on bathroom sink between wall and sink. The tub had a clog. I never was mentioned about any continental breakfast.
I liked the coffee shop next door. The nightly was very decent . Not as expensive as other hotels
I didn't like that there was no iron and pool but I guess that is why it was so inexpensive and also the last night we we there they didn't make our beds
Only thing I liked was that this hotel had granet counter tops in the bathroom and shower. That's about it.
Bugs, claims to have breakfast but all you get is a stail donut and coffee. No toilet paper, you have to ask for it. The parking lot is ridiculously small. Staff is rude & doesn't make you feel welcome. Except for the 15 year old girl working front desk, she tried to be nice. Overall bad.
No noise at all from other rooms, are safe
The lady at the front desk was amazingly polite she made my stay there that much better. And the bed was sooo comfortable!
I love that u have privacy, because.ive been to some pretty disgusting places where i can hear the next.room having relations.. And eeew!!
I liked that the hotel was nice very fancy to be in southgate specially in the area.
When we got there ladie at the front desk was rude, also when we left I checked out with my husband we are none smokers we rented a room non smoking we went out that night with my family were their was ppl arround us smoking and apparently the smoke on our cloths was penitrated that it made the room smell wich I figured wouldnt matter if they would b cleaning it anyway , well the maneger at the fron office was inform of it and was verry rude role her eyes to my husband and walked away !! Cleaning ladies went to our room twice b4 our check out time cant even get ready without them knocking and opening the door after the first knock if check out says 11 then they should wait also breakfast is not real breakfast its coffee and hard donuts ! -_- gross!!! Poor customer service!!
The personal is very kind. I'm so happy expend time in this place
Nothing. The Room was dirty, there was no working light in the bathroom. We let the front office know we needed the light fixed, and we were informed that we would have to wait until someone was called and that would take hours.
I have stayed at the America Best Value Inn, in other cities. But this one in South Gate, is absolutely the worst place I have ever stayed in, ever. The room smelled. No light in the bathroom, there was no hand soaps, none of the basic commodities, The rooms were not kept, there was dirty hand prints on the inside of the doors, the carpet was wet from the ac, pillow cases were stained. Staff was rude, when asked if we could get a different room because they placed us by the street where there was construction.(staff declined stating that's all they had). We stayed because we were exhausted.
Coffee shop next door
For 2 of our 3 day stay, the bath towels were the towels that are normally used for bath mats. 3rd day we were given real bath towels. Soap & shampoo containers in the shower were both empty. We had to ask to get them refilled. Lock on front door broken off and not usable. There was no towel rack in bathroom. Towels had to lay on the countertop. Bathroom fan had no cover. Several times the Bathroom light had to be hit before it would turn on, even though the switch was turned on. Very noisy room. Lots of street noise, cars, trucks, etc.
The room was extremely dirty... the worst motel I ever stayed in!!
The front desk clerk was wonderful. She took good care of us. She even let us use her printer to print off some tickets we needed for that day. The breakfast had just donuts and coffee and she said she would call us as soon as someone brought in fresh Mexican food which she did that was wonderfully cooked.
We didn't feel safe. It is in a very questionable town. It was the only choice of hotels available or we wouldn't have been in that city. There were police a couple of times outside of our hotel, maybe for protection? The deadbolt was gone off the door. Noisy traffic all night. Lots of noise in parking lot with doors slamming all night.
No hair dryer, refregerator, microwave, soup and tissue. Dirty room condition and used towel on the deck.
