Great place, very comfortable
The bathroom was updated and fairly clean. The double windows helped keep out the noise from the freeway and train tracks.
The rooms and furniture were very old and outdated, the carpet and couch were filthy and stained, the mattress was uncomfortable, the fake tree was covered in dust, the room smelled like smoke, urine and Lysol, no AC in the living room area, just a noisy, wobbly ceiling fan that looked like it was going to fall off the ceiling, no coffee maker in the room, the soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty, the location was horrible on a busy street right between the 5 freeway and the trains tracks - super noisy! I was afraid to sit on the couch or sleep in the bed for fear of bed bugs or what might be lurking inside! Shady looking people staying there too. $164.00 for this nasty "suite" was a rip-off! Avoid at all costs!
We had to stop on our way to San Diego just for 1 night. In booking.com that was cheapest option we could find in that area. For that price we got everything we needed: wi-fi, microwave, hair drier, big bed, even two rooms in our apartment and everything we needed for comfortable stay. It was very clean, comfortable and pleasant. Person who worked there was very nice and smart. Before we went into our room we had very intelling chat about political situation back in Europe where we came from. Like very few people in us, he knew a bit of our history and had his own opinion, which makes it even moreinteresting and kind of dialogue. Really interesting person.
The only thing which misunderstands me a bit is what they call "breakfast" in us. We are originaly from Europe and even cheapest hotel if it says free breakfast, that means you will have a choice from omlette, yogurt, sometimes fruit, cereal and etc. Here was pastries and coffee. This is not only in this hotel. It is in general in us. For this price - this is all perfectly fine. Another thing is internet speed: not sure, maybe there were lot of guests using wi-fi at the same time, but it was very slow. But again, we should not buy cheapest hotel but expect best quality. As for that price it was really a bargain.
Cheap and close to Laguna Beach
Poor WI-FI Train and road noise
Staff very helpful and approachable.
Internet signal marginal
I had a family emergency and had to pack up my daughter and i and drive 8hrs to laguna beach. This place was really reasonably priced and the location was convenient since there are many shops and pharmacies so close by I could pick up the incidentals I had left behind in the hasty pack. Due to circumstances we no longet needed to keep the full 4nights we had booked and the manager was very understanding and without charge helped us cancel. I would definitely stay here again.
The part I didnt like was in n out burger was literally close enough to place an order from our bed and because they're open late people were sitting in the parkinglot blaring their music at 2am. Oh and I noticed people must wash their hair more then their hands after using the restroom bacause the hand soap was full and the shampoo/body wash dispenser. . . Yeah... those were empty. Wash your hands people! just nasty...
Loud, dirty and low budget
Location- near two freeways and train tracks. Needs updating.
Room was clean.
Freeway passes behind and overhead. And railroad tracks pass 100 feet in front. Room shook as train passed by.
Bed was comfortable for sleeping. Was glad we were just staying for one night.
Train tracks across street from Inn. Train shook room and engineer blasted horn as it passed by at around 11:00pm. Was told upon checking in that this room was an upgrade to the one we had, so we took it as it was the same price, but had two separate adjoining rooms. No shower soap, shampoo or conditioner in bathroom and no note pads or pens on desk.
lack of aminities
room needed a good dusting. Did not appear to be well maintained.
the cleaning ladies were helpful
truck stop in from of motel in n out line up at all times of day - bed was very uncomfortable
The train at 11 o'clock pm. It was so close the rumble made me fall out ov bed. The hotel was greatly over priced at $100. It was worth only $35 a night The sixties look also didn't help
Located between freeway and train tracks; coffee not available after 9am; insufficient coffee supplies; "continental breakfast" nothing more than plastic wrapped danish.
