The breakfast was unbelievable!
The a/c in the living room(couldn't close the shutters for privacy.
What a perfect location in downtown Newport, right off of Thames St. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! We stayed in one of the apartments which had a kitchen, bedroom and living room with a pull out sofa. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the heart of Newport!
over priced, shabby rooms
Very good location--in the heart of downtown Newport Breakfast included
Shabby room No parking--have to find (expensive) public parking on your own Very poor value for the money
I loved the location, the hotel was very clean..
I wasn't happy on how outdated the hotel was, if your looking for just a place to sleep than this is your place!!!
...for downtown Newport and the wharfs. It was minutes walk from the gorgeous restaurants and shops - just perfect. We had a car and were able to get discounted parking within a few metres from the hotel. Our Rommel was on the ground floor which was a bit noisy but no real problem. The breakfast was just delicious and very varied.
NO A\C IN ALL ROOMS-REMOVED FROM INN WITH ST. ENTRANCE NOT SAFE
Location The breakfast was excellent
Afternoon tea was available but no one told us No elevator and our room 313 was on the third floor
Location.. Most of staff friendly and attentive. Some of the furniture pieces. Some of the breakfast offerings...
No mention of parking charges when booking. Building in ill repair. Mattress horrendous .. Outdated literature for local points of interest. Serious mold on shower curtain. Opened candy on couch in plain view in room upon arrival. Hallway smelled like old vacuum cleaner bag.. Leaky faucet. No light at room entrance in front of full view mirror, making it useless.. Velveta cheese in pseudo egg omelet.. Having to slam front door to secure lock mechanism.. Being told how to switch power breaker in hall utility closet if air conditioner failed again..
Location is perfect. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Clean, spacious rooms, teas and pastries mid afternoon and gracios front desk host. We will definitely go back.
Very close to everything, very quant and cozy. Breakfast was really good with a large selection.
In our room (king size bed) the AC was frozen up and it was uncomfortably hot, the windows were painted shut. We asked if the desk can look into it. He went to the wrong floor and said the central air was fine. (Our floor had individual units and the 1" thick ice on the condenser was evident. He switched our room to one with two full beds... But the AC worked. Pretty expensive for what you actually get.
comfortable bed. good breakfast.
needs to be updated. hallway smelled bad. air conditioner stopped working over night. toilet was the lowest toilet i have ever seen. could barely get up or down.
Nice location. Breakfast buffet. Nearby parking with a discount.
Water stains on ceiling. Old fixtures in bathroom. Low frills for the money.
Great location, very pleasant staff.
Small issue with the tv remote, but the problem was handled very professionally.
smelled musty at times; inadequate lock on room door. not sure about value proposition at over $300 per night. requested quiet room but was put in room facing busy street
Wonderful breakfast smorgasbord! Fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, teas, juices, eggs, and bacon all elegantly presented in the dining area. Rooms are well appointed and are very comfortable. There was no noise from the street. Location is awesome for walking and sightseeing. Staff went above board to make our stay special. I have never met a friendlier staff. We will be back!
Pay to park- $15 per day in the adjacent lot.
The location was great, right downtown- walking distance to bars and restaurants. The parking was also convenient.
After checking into the hotel we went outside to get our bags and upon returning inside, a staff member stopped us and began to yell in our faces. He was apparently confusing us with other patrons and when we made it clear that we were not staying in the room he was questioning and had no clue what he was referring to, he said "sorry" and then continued his rant. It was so unwelcoming and unprofessional we couldn't even believe it. The nightly rate at this hotel was not cheap and to be treated like that within 15 mins of arrival was enough to make us not want to return.
staff was very accommodating and location was very good. bed was comfortable and breakfast was nice
very loud late at night. impossible to get a good nights sleep.
Old colonial building Real New-England feel Centrally located near bars and shops Unique decor and experience Friendly staff
(No elevator just be prepared) Parking deal through hotel is still $18 for 24 hours.
Location and breakfast were great.
Location was great
Breakfast tables very small and area very tight
location, location, location. Can't get much closer to everything!
No exhaust fan in the bathroom but there was a window for ventilation.
Liked the quaint atmosphere, the rooms were clean and kept in shape. The breakfast was very good for being included.
No elevator, so climbing the stairs with luggage was a little tough. Bed was a little hard.
We had an issue with the room (odor) then we were moved into a different room which was in a different building and had to downgrade with no compensation adjustments.
reat staff, wonderful breakfast and Tea Time!
Small room, sort of musty smell, bathroom very small with old fixtures. Sink tiny.
