The Inn was close to casinos which we found very convenient. Restaurant s, shopping all around the hotel.
No coffee n rooms no continental breakfast
Price Quiet Clean Location
Had trouble getting maid service, even with card hung on door. No elevator. Slow service in resturant.
The OVERALL experience was GREAT! I could focus on the Chiefs whipping New England after I ckecked in.
Nothing, the room was really out dated and looked really dirty the carpet was old. The lady that checked me in was a racist in my opinion, I didn't feel welcome. She first stated there were no rooms, but when I checked with booking.com a room became available.
Nothing, I would never stay there again.
Nothing to like about this hotel....from my request For adjoining room (when my room was booked 3 month in advance) being ignored to no towels to filthy carpet to lazy and incompetent wait staff in the restaurant. NEVER staying at an American Inn again.
Our confirmed reservation was lost. The staff put us into a smoking room, even though we booked a non smoking one. The room was filthy. The mattresses had stains, and the bathroom wasn't very clean.
Close to attractions.
No breakfast other than buying a buffet. Dark and older facilities that weren't very clean.
On first walking into the room, it did not appear to be clean. The floor looked like it had not been shampooed in several years. The mattresses were hard. The faucets dripped ALL night in the shower and in the sink. We had asked for adjourning rooms or rooms across the hall from each other. I made the reservations 2 months in advance so I thought that was enough time to have adjourning rooms available. However, we ended up at opposite ends of the hall. Not condusive for small children to go room to room. We ate breakfast in the restaurant connected to the hotel and were equally disappointed. The wait staff visited with each other while we waited for them to bring up menus. When the waitress came to get our orders, she left after getting only half of the orders. We had to wait 20 minutes for ANY of the wait staff to look our way (we timed them). When the food arrived once again only half of the food came. And that was cold. Not at all impressed. If we wanted to talk about the waitresses private life....she had no problem with that. Talking about ordering food...not so eager. I made reservations at an American Inn in Galveston, TX for September. Upon spending one night at the American Inn in Kansas, I will be cancelling that reservaton and rebooking elsewhere.
The normal extra things were not in the room, they had to be asked for (shampoo, conditioner, etc). The carpets were disgusting! Each night, my white socks ended up looking like I had walked outside on a dirt path. The bottom sheet was a flat sheet, not a fitted one, so it came loose as I slept. I will never stay at American Inn again after this.
I liked the fact that you were close to the highway and close to other services such as convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants etc. . The facility was good and your front desk people were great.
The parking lot was really bad shape and that's about all.
Close to down town
Poor neighborhood and night staff were very rude.
No clock or coffee pot in room. Back door broken no security Resturant poor staff Extremely slow service, waited over 30 min for eggs, we walked out
The staff was friendly and helpful. Great location.
A little pricey.
Location, close to where I was going
Dirty, carpets was hideous
Good location, easy to find, room was cleaner than expected given the appearance of the exterior. Checking in was easy. Good value and not a bad place to crash overnight.
Quite a few maintenance issues. The parking lot needs work. One of the wall in our bathroom and a small hole in it. Waited almost 15 minutes in restaurant to be served and opted to go out instead. Bar didn't serve Boulevard beer.
Room was very clean and staff was very plesent and helpfull
No fan in bathroom when taking shower and bathtub overflow drain partially hanging out.
How close it was to places I wanted I go.
The toilet was coming loose and the heater/ac was coming loose.
Nothing really the rooms needs to be updated.
The price was fair.
The extremely long hallways smelled like urine. Our sink had a very slow drain. The room was dark and the carpeting was worn. The front desk was rude to us.
It was close to where we were going. It was cheap. The staff were great.
This is an older hotel. The rooms were decent. The hall did smell like smoke. You could hear everything that was going on in the hall. The room got stuffy (I think it was from the heater... Both of us woke up all stuffed up and congested.) Room service did not come in and make the beds... they just restocked towels and toilet paper and emptied the waste baskets. My sheets on my bed kept coming off and I would always had to fix them so I wasn't sleeping on the mattress.
Good price, very friendly service! We will be staying there again on our next trip.
There is a bar/ lounge in the hotel and we could hear (it was karaoke night) and smell it from our room, which was very close to the lobby. The beds were a little smaller than I would've liked, but still very comfy. The next time we stay there, we are going to ask for a room a little further from the lobby.
I stayed at this hotel about 9 years ago and it was a good stay. I do not think the facilities have been maintained properly since! The bed was so broken down that my wife woke up with a sore back. The shower head hardly sprayed because of hard water deposits. The faucets barely turned. Curtains needed paperclips to hold shut for security. The entire place smelled like stale smoke. So very disappointed.
Comfortable beds, friendly staff, location
Dead bug in bathroom, bug traps under bed. Very loud guests in room above us.
The location, lounge, and staff were the only thing that my group really cared about and they were all awesome so we were very happy. It was my third time here and I've had a great time each time and when I'm back in KC I'll stay here again.
The entire staff were extremely professional, and very knowledgeable. We were especially pleased with staff member Misty, (Spirits Pub/Lounge). She, as well as the Front Desk Staff, exemplified the characteristics that all customer service representatives should be modeled after.
We simply could not stay long enough.
