We traveled in mid October over Minnesota’s MEA. It was beautiful. The weather was gorgeous and the leaves were changing. Arlington has everything you need and is a very short drive to Washington DC. Hotel Pentagon, which was not a 4 or 5-star hotel as the rooms were large, but dated and could use some remodeling, however, the service staff was wonderful and attentive, the beds were comfortable, we had a fridge and microwave in the room, and the water was hot enough for a comfortable shower. They also offered a hot breakfast that was satisfying for those wanting a meal, and it was located right off the Rt. 395 exit in Arlington DC. Arlington is the perfect area (Crystal City) to stay in the DC area. We used Uber daily…traffic is congested, construction on every road, parking impossible. The area is young and vibrant with great restaurants. We enjoyed ten wonderful days in this wonderful condo…the pictures look great but is even better on person! Metro area subway and bus service is frequent and excellent, and station agents always helpful. It was nice to have the kitchen, laundry facilities and ironing board. BTW: we planned to order groceries from a nearby Giant Store. GPS took us to the location, but it was an apartment building. Eventually we were able to talk to a store manager and get directions: there is no parking lot. You go to an underground parking garage, then take an elevator up and go down a corridor. Once inside it is a full store.
