Stayed here a few times. Always treated well, and rooms are comfortable.
There was a constant party going on on the third floor. Cigarette and pot smoke on a non smoking floor. Complained once, then commented it was still ongoing later on. Slamming doors and loud voices all evening. Will be cautious about booking again.
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I especially like the fresh baked cookies still warm out of the oven.
I was surprised that the pool was shared with another hotel that was across the road.
The hotel worked out perfectly for me. Location was great and the staff very friendly.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Have stayed here many times and have always found staff to be great. We are usually on a shopping trip and find location very convenient. Rooms clean and comfortable
I liked the convenient access to the highway, the cleanliness of the room, the friendliness of the staff.
I would have liked a larger breakfast menu. There were no hot options, but there was easy access to the diner across the street.
The guest service agent, Willa, who checked us in is fantastic. We stayed at Americas Best Inn last year and he is one of the reasons we returned this year. He is kind, friendly and very helpful. My friend mentioned how she remembers his cookies and how delicious they were, he took it upon himself to make her some as a surprise. This hotel is definitely worth the money. The shower could use some updating, but overall te bathroom and room and clean and comfortable.
We enjoyed staying there. The room was lovely. The breakfast room was nice and clean with lots to choose from. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Robbin at the front desk. He was awesome!
The location and price were great.
The wifi did not work and the breakfast was very limited. We got downstairs at 9:30 (breakfast was at 10) and there were two muffins left. The bagels, English muffins, yogurt, and coffee were empty. We asked the front desk to replenish and they brought us out a yogurt and bagel. There was no one cleaning in between guests so the tables and counters were a mess. The milk looked like water with a sediment at the bottom so it must have been powdered milk. No one would eat cereal.
The fellow working at the desk in the morning was very pleasant and helpful.
Basically the whole place. It was a pretty bare bones facility. And, Too close to the highway.
-Friendly Staff -Great Value -Nice for a 1 or 2 night stay -It was great to have a fridge and microwave
-Hard, uncomfortable bed
It was an excellent location, close to the very popular downtown area of portsmouth, also the hotel would bake cookies so it always smelled delicious.
The hotel didn't offer many extras, the exercise facility was old and barley worked, also I feel all hotels should invest in waffle makers, it just makes everything better.
Really helpful staff We can use the pool of the hotel across the street.
Can't say anything bad at all. Staff was awesome and cookies to welcome you at the front desk!!
First time we came to Portsmouth and stayed in this hotel. Room is clean and good size. Great to have free breakfast with decent selections. No problem locating the hotel.
Free wifi available in the room worked well and easily accessible
Window opened to the Route 1 Bypass can be noisy at time. The bed was horrific!
Clean comfortable room.
The internet was down the entire time I was there. No fault of the hotel.
Price Staff Fridge in room
Heating system Small breakfast area Bed was very hard and uncomfortable Wifi kept disconnecting Good location No coffee in the room
Excellent locationto the event. Great value for the price. Using booking.com was easy. Liked the discount of eating at the Holiday Inn.
No coffeemaker in the room.
The young man at the reception desk was very helpful and nice.
Price was very reasonable.
There was nothing that we didn't like.
Bargain prices Fairly close to downtown Fridge and microwave in room
Only two small pillows on the bed Shower was not clean It's not the Sheraton Harborside but it's not priced as such either.
the check in was very easy, the clerk was helpful and courteous. there was no one at the counter when i arrived so the check in was completed quickly. the room was clean and comfortable
continental breakfast was fair, the internet was not stable
Our room was quiet and appeared to be clean.
The updating was done poorly. It also appeared drab. Made me wonder about the overall standards.
I do not have to many positive things to say about this place. It smelled bad and was very noisy when the doors opened and closed. It was difficult to get a good nights rest.
The bed was like sleeping on a rock. The breakfast was sparse and the muffins not very good and the hot water they left in the pot over night was cold. They did not put out tea bags or hot chocolate packets. We had to ask for shampoo and soap because it was not in the room! I do not recommend this place at all.
