Some of the rooms can be noisy due to freeway trafic. Doors close very loud noise
De enjoyed our stay. American standard room, very friendly employees!
The price was very reasonable, the location was in walking distance of downtown, maybe a 15 min walk thru gorgeous historic neighborhoods. Got an early check in which was great and very friendly staff.
Everything was great really.
Good location, clean, good staff, good value.
Welcome reception - with cookie! Price Easy to find and park Strawberry Banke was nearby and worth the visit.
Wi-fi was down No on site restaurant Breakfast room was tiny and choice limited - but, I suppose you get what you pay for
Value was good. Location was close to the meetings I was attending. Breakfast was adequate. I suggested this hotel to 4 other couples, 3 of whom chose to stay there. We all were generally pleased with the facility. I'm not aware that any of the others had an issue.
Had to ask twice to have the black mold under the toilet bowl rim cleaned/removed. The manager actually came down and cleaned it himself, with his apologies that it hadn't been done.
Will at the front desk was great! He was super friendly and helpful and set us up for a cab ride into the city for a very low rate. We had a blast. We aren't too picky, but we loved our stay here!
One bad thing, on the morning of our check-out, we had the "do no disturb" sign up and it was over an hour before check-out time. A member of the housekeeping staff abruptly attempted to open our door without a knock. He was very apologetic and stated it was in his records that we left. Nevertheless, it was an invasion of privacy.
Staff was friendly and even baked cookies for the hotel guests; nice personal touch.
Nothing the hotel could do, but construction made directions confusing.
This was a very nice Inn. Plus the price was right using Booking.com. Better than AAA or AARP rate. Highly recommend.
Rooms were very comfortable and quiet. The air conditioner worked very well. A wide variety of channels on the tv.
The pillows were a little small
Nice spacious room
Noise from highway, windows could have been more sound proof.
The breakfast area was very small and did not have adequate supervision.
The bed was great
The breakfast was very limited. Only sugar enhanced carbs available.
We were just driving through and needed a place to sleep for the night. The evening worker, Will, was fantastic! Helped us find the local brewery and place to eat. I would stay again.
There was only one thing was disappointed in and even it isn't a big deal. We left the hotel at 6am and just wanted to grab a cup of coffee for the road from the breakfast area but nothing was ready. Again, not a big deal, just disappointing as the amenities state it would be open at 6.
Staff very helpful
Very clean, staff were very friendly, great location.
The breakfast was good but the area was extremely small. It was very uncomfortable.
It was clean, comfortable, and affordable. In a safe location. Much less in price than the other places in Portsmouth.
The breakfast was basic. Nothing hot. That's okay though. Bagels, English muffins, cereal. Away from downtown, but only about 2-3 minutes drive.
Location Price Beds on third floor Quiet Continental breakfast Cleanliness Friendly staff
Beds on second floor not comfortable Almost double the price on a Friday as opposed to a Tuesday. Stayed at a nicer hotel in Bar Harbor Thursday for only $30.00 more.
Location wasn't too bad for the money. The place was clean, updated and comfortable and the front desk had hot baked cookeis
Breakfast room could have been a little bigger
we liked everything about it. the price and the nice clean rooms. even the coffee in the morning. the helpful staff. it was so near the highways and rt 1. and easy to get to. we would definitely come back .
there is nothing that we didn't like. it was all good.
comp breakfast was oonly fair.
Staff helpful and cheerful. Dining link with adjacent Holiday Inn.
Road entry at busy corner: where main road feeds freeway link.
We were really impressed with America's Best Inn. It was very clean. The room was really nice. It looked just the same as on the website. The location was perfect for what we were looking for. The town of Portsmouth is beautiful. There's entertainment almost daily. We went to a very good Second City Improv show. We didn't have this planned. We just went into town & found this show & many other things to choose from. The food was the best part of the trip. The Roundabout Dinner right near the inn has great food ( service is okay, no real complaint. Michelle's in Portsmouth had great food. Bob's Clam House was also good. Would definitely return. kudos to Will and Ribbon at the reception desk. They made us feel welcomed. When we told Will that his name had been mentioned in other reviews, his reaction was actually touching. It was a good moment shared. Thanks to Robbin for your patience & help with directions & suggestions.
Would've just liked to have a towel rack in the bathroom .
