The front desk was impeccable! Kind, professional and everything I could ever want in a front desk clerk! It had a wonderful location.
The Wifi didn't work. The bed was stiff and uncomfortable. The carpets were stained all over the hotel! The breakfast was gross and didn't last long enough (I like to sleep in on vacation). The jets in our tub didn't work and there was hair in our tub. The building and parking lot was run down and needed some MAJOR help! The pool was also run down and I didn't even bother with it or the hottub. Having a paper on our bed telling of renovations to come was NOT helpful. Especially since they said it was supposed to start in 2011. It should have started a long time ago. There is no WAY a hotel would look that bad in 3 years. This place needs some serious help before I would ever consider staying again. Let alone recommending it......
Great Breakfast, Newer Firm Beds, Good Size Rooms, Microwave and Refrigerator In Room. Large Parking Area for Trailers. Value For Price. Cleanliness of Room.
Carpet In room was oil stained but clean.
The room smelled like smoke and made it hard to get comfortable.
The staff was willing to help me with anything I needed. I drove from Sandy Oregon to attend my cousins wedding. To make the trip not so expensive it was great the cost of a room at your hotel was in my budget. I appreciated reading a note why the hotel wasn't as nice as it could be like the peeling wallpaper, broken tv base and my room didn't have a blow dryer and my cousin had one in her room. Someday it will get the remodel it deserves and it will be fantastic! Lovely little town and I hope to it visit again someday and your hotel.
I'm not a big breakfast eater but what little I wanted to eat because I had a full day ahead of me I had to ask for cut up fruit and other items that were out. Some of the gentlemen staying there for a senior softball tournament (which was fun to go watch in my spare time) asked if I worked there so I took it upon myself to make sure there was enough food. I didn't mind, I'm kind of way because I used to work in the restaurant business. The staff was very willing to respond to my request. Not enough ice because the ice maker closest to me was out of order. I should have asked if there was another one other than the one by the office because by morning it was out of ice but I didn't think about it until now.
That they offer breakfast
Cleanliness of hotel and staff.
Price Hot tub Breakfast
Staff unprofessional Pool area in disrepair Old TV's,remote didn't work
Nice comfortable clean room. Very friendly, helpful staff. Inside access to rooms. Great location. Highly recommended. Definite repeat stay
The breakfast was good. The attendant was very attentive & kept everything full.
Beds were uncomfortable. Pillows were so small I had to ask for 2 additional & still were small & too shallow.
clean, quiet, convenient location, able to open window for fresh air at night.
the mattress pad had a plastic/water proof layer which caused overheating during the night.
Location was good.
Assigned us room that was not made up. Had to go back to front desk and inform so that we could get another room. Cleanliness of property not good.
In door pluming, mini fridge, & a microwave.
The room was really dirty, really outdated and just plain gross. The bathroom toilet was covered in urine, using the work scary for the mattress would be a compliment and I am thankful we brought our own pillows and blankets. I would like to say if treated like camping its bearable but camping is cleaner, cheaper and way more fun.
Excellent location to walk to the town and lake.
Very old and rundown hotel. Door keys didn't work, lock on broken, many light bulbs not working, room not cleaned, toilet wouldn't flush, tv and remote outdated, carpet old, free breakfast minimal.
The location for me personally was great. That's about the only benefit of this hotel. The fact that it was next to the beer and pizza place was good.
My biggest problem is they stressed how much they want the guest to be comfortable. We had not hot water in the room. We went to check out and complain, there was another lady complaining for the same reason at the time. I realize I did not book a room at the Hilton. I did not expect much. However I do not believe hot water is too much to ask for. Let me also explain... When people come to my place of employment and complain I do what ever I can to apologize and make sure they return. They did no such thing. Not to mention they did not come in and clean the room or make our bed. I lived with that, but have never stayed somewhere that did not provide such a service. Also people should be warned of the bears that are around the hotel before they find a note in the hall way. Nobody warned us when we booked the room or checked in.
comfortable and reasonably priced
hot tub not working
The free continental breakfast was the highlight, particularly the Belgian waffles
Linens, furniture and fixtures are pathetically outdated. The sheets are worn thin and the blankets have holes. The carpet is ancient, stained and musty. There was limited hot water for showers the weekend we were there, which we were told was the result of the hotel being fully booked. It was suggested that we wait a couple hours and try again. The staff, in fairness, was sympathetic and did its best to make up for the water issue. One of our nights was comped as a result. Nonetheless, we can't imagine ever willingly staying here again (it was literally the last available room in town when we made our last-minute decision to spend the weekend in McCall.).
The staff tried their best to be helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was done well and the gentlemen watching over the breakfast room kept the tables clean and the buffet orderly. The soap, shampoo and conditioner provided were suprisingly better then average.
The facility as a whole was abysmal. The carpet is in desperate need of replacement and the bed linens were thread bare. The first night the bottom fitted sheet had no elastic left and would not stay on the bed. The next morning I complained and a better fitting sheet was installed and remained for the remaining four nights of our stay. The first night we did not have a refrigerator in our room. After a request from the staff one was provided. Pillows were so poor we wouldn't dare lay our heads on them. Thankfully we brought our own pillows.
The staff was accommodating- but a little too casual.Location was good- close to downtown.
They really need to finish the updating that they started in 2011 ( even a note in the rooms about the delayed renovations) and hire someone to pull the weeds and clean up the yard. Hot tub was closed for servicing( this couldn't be done during the week? ) Hot water ran out- TV was old and fuzzy- even with the cable. I felt we could have found a better quality hotel for the price.
The location is great for walking downtown. Great breakfast provided.
No hot water in the morning for showers. Half a pot of coffee left from prior guests.
near lake and restaurants, walk-able area, very accommodating pet friendly motel, lots of parking available on-site, quiet
property has not been updated in some time, no areas to sit outdoors in the shade and enjoy the mountain atmosphere or read, toilet seat did not fit shape of toilet and sat off-center so that you were sitting partly on toilet rim, sagging and peeling wallpaper, un-repaired holes in wallboard in hallway, floor in ice and soda machine room looked like it had never been cleaned
We waited for 30 minutes and could never find anyone to check us in. My husband roamed the halls calling for someone. Another customer was there at the same time & was equally disturbed. We finally left a card telling them we were there & had to find another motel. Fortunately Super 8 accepted our dog & was very clean and comfortable. We had better not receive a charge on our credit card. We stopped in the next morning & 2 ladies were behind the counter - we gave them the message.
good nights sleep convenient to shops & restaurant good access
what not to like?
The staff was wonderful and friendly. They gave us a nice, clean, and quiet room at the end where we could enjoy our anniversary in peace, far from the small children who were screaming in the pool. Breakfast was yummy and the location can't be beat. Even the local bears love this hotel.
Lack of hot water and wi-fi in the rooms. We had to go to the lobby to log on to the internet. Hot tub had something nasty in it.
Rooms were clean.
Everything seemed a bit rundown (holes and stains on towels, etc.) but for the price I guess you get what you pay for. The rotten bananas sitting out by the front desk kinda set the tone for the stay. Breakfast was mediocre.
