Advertised on 4 th St. Very misleading because it is also US 101. Very loud. Not well insulated. Out dated furnishings. Continental breakfast was a joke. Bathroom towels were like sand paper!
Great staff, easy check in...check out process. Reasonable pricing.
Mattresses were very hard and uncomfortable. Jetted tub did not work.
We came from Salt Lake, by train to California. An Amtrak bus took us to Eureka. The bus stop, and Enterprise rent-a-car were both within a block of Americas Best Inn.
The wi-fi was good, the room was comfy and clean and breakfast was adequate.
It was near the historic end of town but there seemed to be a number of questionable people in the area.
Best choice on a budget!
The location was walking distance to several places to eat and very close to hwy 101. The staff was polite and helpful at all times.
It's good for one night, has everything I need, especially hair drier. Feels clean, and cozy. I liked it, and we slept well.
Carpet is kind of hard
We liked the location, easy walk to the Old Town and Wharf. The price was right for a one night stop.
I can"t complain, the price was fair for what we got.
Looks OK from outside WiFi worked good
Lousy location Not worth the price Bathroom not very clean Shower leaked on floor
Bed was comfortable and the room had all we needed. Although on Hwy 101, it was quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was adequate (toast, muffin, coffee) and got us on our way. What interaction with the staff that we had was good.
Wifi could have been better
Great value for money. No complaints!
Nothing that stuck with me
Price was excellent! We just needed a safe place to sleep and a shower. For the price, it was super worth the stay
If I had to say something negative it would be the noise. But it's off the freeway, noise is expected
I didn't like the rude, disrespectful staff. The room was dirty, they had roaches carpet was filthy we didn't stay their.
Room had everything we needed for one night stay.
Pick a 2nd floor room. We had the three bears walking around above us most of the night.
fridge, (very small) microwave, hair dryer in the room.
We were staying 2 nights so I went to the cleaning lady and asked for 2 more towels for the next night. We hung the sign of Do NOT disturb while we were gone. The cleaning lady STILL CAME IN to get the dirty towels. Do not disturb = do NOT ENTER for everyone!!! And the coffee packet is only enough for 1 cup not 1 pot
friendly staff, lots of ice, parking close to room
lots of homeless in the town.
The rooms were clean and spacious.
The wifi didn't work in our room at all after the first hour of use. I called front desk about this and was "told nobody else is complaining and that I should use the internet outside my room". I asked if perhaps the staff could look into it further as it really wasn't working and this time was told "my internet is working fine and rebooting it would spoil it for everyone else" and then she hung up on me. We couldn't connect to the wifi for the rest of our stay. The service when checking in was good so I was surprised at being treated like this and I really feel that this staff needs extra training and support when dealing with questions/complaints.
It was halfway in eureka
The room had a smell to it, had to leve the window open so terrific noise was loud and washrag had people's hair on it
The mall down the street. Friendly front desk lady.
Proximity to very noisy highway. Seemed to be an area of vagrants
The owner was very kind and helpful.
We had requested an ADA compliant room and this room was clearly not. It was upstairs, no safety rails in the bathtub and there was no elevator. The owner did try to be helpful by carrying our luggage up for us but it was still not the best room for us. The property is very old and the suite that we were in reeked of stale cigarette smoke although it was labelled "non-smoking". We had requested a 2 bedroom suite since we had another couple with us. Since two members of our party are handicapped it really did not work out very well and the owner told us that she did not have any suites downstairs and that she wasn't able to change our room to separate rooms for the same price. I had sent an email to the hotel right after booking to advise them that we would like a downstairs room, but we never heard back that there was none available. We were traveling with a service dog and this was the only area that the hotel was ADA compliant about but of course it is the law. I had read previous reviews that were mixed. It seemed it was 50-50 split so I took a chance since it was one night. We had stayed at another America's Best Value in Ft. Bragg, Ca that was excellent all the way around so I thought this property would be better than it was. Unfortunately, there was no comparison.
It's right in the middle of downtown. So lot of restaurants and shops at walking distance.
The room didn't have an air conditioner in it. Basically need to keep the windows open at night to cool the room.
Location - right "downtown"
