Nothing. We got to our room and I almost cried it was so gross. We stayed only long enough to talk about what hotel to go to instead and ended up at Hilton Houston North, which I highly recommend.
The pictures on the website are deceptive and not at all how the facilities are now. The staff possibly have social disorders, as they have no idea how to speak to a human.
They location was close to my sisters house
When we went into the room there was to be a coffee pot and no seating area, the curtain was off of the rod, tried to use the phone and the phone didn't work, the bath tub had rust in it. There was no remote for the tv. Called the office on my cell phone to let them know about all of this and they sent someone that didn't speak English. Also wanted a smoking room and there was no ashtray.
blood stains on sheets and mattress
The price is alright though the sign on the outside said it was cheaper. Though the lady in the morning was very nice and professional, the guy the night before was not.
The guy at the counter. He was not professional and when I gave him my ID and Credit Card he was doing something on the computer and while he was waiting for it to load or whatever, he used my credit card to scratch his head... Definitely going to order a new card.
The staff on 3 different shifts were rude, unprofessional, lack of concern, empathy, and unaware of how to treat people. The hotel smelled horrible the couch was filthy food in the sink, roaches big roaches in all rooms dead and alive, door was broken to both closets AND NO HOT WATER. When I called the staff to find out what was going on she says oh I just ame on the hot water heater is out. So I asked whats going to be done about it oh nothing i just came on my shift so I say I want to check out we traveled from Dallas and needed to shower in a clean room with hot water she said well youve been here longer than 30 minutes no refunds. So I asked about being transferred to another property because this wasnt just an inconvience this was not tolerable conditions she said we dont do that and the manager not here until Monday. I will never ever go to this hotel again. I have tried to reach the owner still no response.
We had to stay at America's Best Value Inn due to flight cancellations at iah. No shuttle, the cab cost $35 with no traffic. This hotel rates as the second worst hotel we have ever stayed in (the other was in Texas - and we travel all over the world - so good job Texas!). Sticky carpets, thin towels, destroyed sofa, generally dirty; this is a low income long term stay hotel. I saw a guy walk from his room in the pouring rain in bare feet with a smoke in his hand left the cig in the outdoor smokers sandbox thing, went in, waved at the front desk attendant, got some coffee, and then came out to get his smoke to go back to his room. This is not a comfortable place for some, but for a few it is home!
There was no kitchen utensils, when ot is supposed to have on suite with kitchenette. I had to buy those utensils at the nearest Wal Mart.
the sheets were clean. The receptionist was nice but no one to help with luggage.
This hotel is 35 minutes from the airport so the cab ride is $40. When I walked in the room, it smelt like someone had been smoking in it and I specifically requested a non-smoking room. The paint was chipping off the walls, the kitchen counter hadn't been wiped down so there food on it. The phone had dirt/food caked on it as well. The phone didn't work to dial out, only in so no way to contact the front desk or order in dinner, hotel has no restaurant. The tub had chips out of it. This hotel is old and very run down. I could see people from the hotel window smoking crack on the next property so it was kind of scary to walk back there to get a bottle of water at the corner store.
