The staff was very friendly. Everything was so clean even if it was very outdated it made up for it. I will stay here again.
T.V. was old and no reception. blankets were to thin.
I slept through the night without getting woke up, which isn't usually the case. It was clean, nice breakfast and the staff was most helpful. I had an issue with the TV and they came to fix it in 5 minutes. Very good!!
Location, price, staff effort.
Pitted sink, dirty rugs, old travel lodge needing help. The bed was so bad, husband switched to hideabed, clerk responded with , why didn't u ask to be moved? I figured it would all be the same, hotel was empty and I thought they would certainly be giving me a good room.
I especially like the close proximity to Pacific University (dropped my daughter off). And the price was good too.
Only downfall is that you can hear when the guests above you open/close their door.
Friendly staff, quiet inside, barely knew the street was near, lovely pool and exercise area, comfortable beds
Can't really think of anything.
The staff treated us like family and very pleasant to be with
Rooms are badly in need of refurbishing.
We selected this hotel based on its low rate (at least 30%+ cheaper than other alternatives in the area) and convenient location -- and we set our expectations accordingly. This was simply a "crash pad" for us for the night, and for that, it was fine. The decor was dated and worn, but the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious, the shower was "old school" (meaning great water pressure and lots of hot water!) and we both got a good night's sleep. We would stay there again.
Cons: The facilities are in need of updating, so the hotel has an overall well-worn feeling to it...both inside and out.
Room was clean and comfortable.
Lousy nights sleep. Went to bed at 10, then the upstairs people started jumping running and pounding noisily late into the night. Finally after a couple of hours of thinking they would stop (about midnight) my husband stood on the bed and pounded loudly on the ceiling, they finally quieted down after that. Night was pretty much ruined at that point. Hallway had a nasty smell, like B. O.
The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful courteous. The continental breakfast was good a lot of choices.
I went to the exercise room to work out and was disappointed none of the machines were working.
Staff was very nice, pool was great. Kid's love breakfast too.
The room had a tiny sofa that was very dirty, the room was otherwise kept clean by housekeeping. Older and needs updating on decor.
Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, nice pool, quiet, and dog-friendly! And they charged me less than the rate listed by the booking site : )
The owners were so friendly and accommodating. Let my friends and I check into the hotel hours before the check-in time which is at 3pm. Allowed us to switch to a bigger room and very friendly about it. Mind you this was Fourth of July weekend. Overall I would definitely stay here again and reccomend this hotel. We never used room service so can't say much about this but this really made our stay in Forest Grove much better. And you can't beat the awesome room rates! 5 stars!
Wi-Fi was hard to connect and stay connected. Also not a good connection, it was very slow.
Location, clean, friendly.
Sink looked like someone had pryed on the over flow slot, cracked the porcelain and missing for about 4 inches on each side. Bad looking, even a porcelain patch would have looked somewhat better. A door in the night would slam and shake the building. Not sure which door.
The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was good too.
Not too much. It is an older property and they are making great efforts to keep it spruced up. Thank you.
Have stayed at this location and will keep doing so
We liked the sink being in the room, so that one can be using that while the other is in the bathroom. The wi-fi was nice and helpful. I liked how fruit and yogurt were offered for breakfast as well as whole grain bread. Having hot chocolate was a nice bonus that I really appreciated. Waffles is always a nice bonus for children. The lady had us down for a room with ONE queen size bed for us both. When I complained she said for an additional amount I could have a room with 2 beds in it. However, she finally agreed to let me have it for the same price, that was really nice.
They didn't give us enough soap. My daughter brought her soap, which i do not use, so the housekeeper thought that I didn't need any. She also threw away my cup, fork and knife that I left on the sink to use later. We stayed for 5 nights, on the second night I got sand in the bed mistakingly, because we'd been to the beach that day. So the next 3 nights I had to live with a sandy bed. Guess I deserved it since I was the one to dirty it, right?
We awoke to ants all over our belongings. The pool room ceiling and window/doorways were covered in black mold.
I liked how clean the bed was and how the heater and air worked also!
