The location, the large room, the staff. We used this as a base for daily visits to Yosemite and it was great (about 1hour drive from the lodge).
The wifi connection was not very good. I was able to connect only sometimes with my PC but never with my phone. But maybe that was good to keep me away from work distractions.
Right downtown mariposa, excellent mattress and down bedding. Could hear a bit the road although on side of complex. There was some maintenance work going on, woke up with a compressor noise. Other than that, simple, met our needs. Unfortunately no breakfast available. Diner next door serves a fabulous breakfast but one need time to be served... mariposa slow.
If you want to stay in Mariposa, this is the place. Very helpful staff.
Just remember you are still an hour from Yosemite Vally. :-)
poor WiFi connection - not useable
Comfortable rooms. The hotel is near everything in town.
The location was just perfect for us after visiting the Yosemite Park and before heading the west California. Restaurants and stores were nearby. Only need to drop the room keys to a box to check out.
* Very nice location in a small city * Quite close to Yosemite Valley * Big Room
Large, clean room. Great family restaurant (charles street) across the street.
Close to Yosemite
Receptionist not very friendly, weird guy in the parking lot at night, pricy, hardly usable WiFi
Good price and facilities were good for money. Great location for stop over if heading for Yosemite. Checkout Charles Street Diner for great meal and Mariposa's local gift shops.
Internet was very slow, patience is required. No breakfast included, but try café just down road, after Subway same side of road!
Liked the location, it was in the middle of Mariposa, a small town, it had a nice diner to have breakfast just next door, and in walk distance a fule station where you can buy some stuff. The YARTS bus station from Yosemite and back is justin front of the motel. Room was nice. No major issues.
The room had very poor WiFi connection, and as I did not have connection all day at Yosemite park, I really needed the Wifi to work. The motel receptionist was understanding and tried to help, but there was nothing much to do, it is a the town location issue. I also think the room should have a glass or something you can use in the Macrowave, but I learned my lesson and I bring it with me to hotels now (:
Very easy registration and staff was very helpful with recommendations for services in town. Very nice location and room was spacious and quiet. In for an overnight on the way to Yosemite and it was just what was needed.
Very big room, comfortable, nice surroundings, walking distante to restaurants. Right next to YART bus stop
Room very large.
Poor wifi - had to sit outside office to access this. Fittings and in room facilities very tired. Had to stay near Yosemite but little choce of accommodation.
Great hotel, very comfortable. Staff helpful and welcoming. Maraposa is a great little town
Nothing, everything was perfect.
The room was big and clean with two queen-size beds (we would have preferred a king-size bed). The housekeeping staff was good and attentive. The hotel staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The position in the town is very good because all the restaurants are at walking distance. However it takes an hour to reach Yosemite Village. Overall we were satisfied.
The quality of the Wi-Fi wasn't always satisfactory. We would have appreciated to have breakfast (but the Sugar Pine Cafe right down the street is a very good place).
+ friendly staff + quite location + Happy Burger round the corner + good WiFi connection
- 1,5 h drive to Yosemite. For half day hikes it's ok. If you plan an hike longer than 3-4 h you should choose a Lodge near the Park. - check-in not possible before 3 pm
Location and comfort, just perfect.
WiFi didn't for me at all And they didn't have options for breakfast, you'll have to go somewhere else.
The location was perfect and the facilities just right. Ideally located opposite a superb restaurant and adjacent to an excellent diner that took care of breakfast.
beautiful big room, friendly and helpful staff. easy walk to shops in town
the coffee / tea making was in bathroom??? there was enough space in room to have bench near the little table and chairs in room. Plus the light was hanging too low over the table. bumped head!
It was a cozy place with well-kept grounds, and several restaurants and shops were within a short walking distance.
Not a thing!
I liked the parking. Right outside the door of our room. Clean and organized. In the mountains, quiet. Satisfied with our stay, will be back again.
The room was comfortable and there were good restaurants nearby. Better value for money than hotels closer to yosemite.
The drive from yosemite at night had us stuck behind a very slow vehicle oft half an hour but that was bad luck.
staff, location, loved the town
