It was pretty quite. Not as nice as we thought we were paying for. Plus the people at the front desk were rude and the rooms aren't that clean.

I traveled to Newport from Central Oregon for the halibut fishing opener. Considering that I had to be at the charter office at 4:30 a.m., staying overnight in Newport was essential. The Inn at Yaquina Bay is only a short walk to the charter office, so it is really convenient. The price wasn’t too steep, and it was quiet. Considering that we were up at 4:00 and out of our room by 4:25, it would have been nice if the office wasn’t locked up and the coffee and muffins were available. I remember a few years back you could stop through the office, get a cup of coffee, and grab half a muffin, but I understand that the folks in the office need to sleep sometime. Next year I’ll have to remember to bring my early morning snack I guess.

Great location for the sites we came to see. If coffee isn't available until 8:30 AM (lobby area locked), coffee makers in the room would be nice.

I liked that we could walk to the Aquarium. The entire place smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke.

I liked the Pier being near and being with in a distance to crab. There Wi-Fi did not work in the rooms. You would need to walk out of the room or to the balcony in order for the Wi-Fi to work. There was one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom that was almost finished with no extras rolls in the restroom. Had to go the main lobby to get the toilet paper.

The price was affordable It was very dated as in teal carpet with mauve silk flowers. It smelled awful. Beds were not comfortable. There wasn't any water pressure. The shower curtain barely covered the area it needed to. I will never stay at this place again.

Proximity. We paid $178 plus tax for a dirty room with ripped couch and no balcony. There wasn't even any hot water in the morning so we checked out without being able to shower. The holiday inn a block away was the same price and much, much nicer.

The woman clerk was rather nice. After putting in 1 night, I was able to cancel the other 2 nights and re-group. I thought the inn @ Yaquinna bay would give you a view -if not the ocean front, the Bay. It was more like staying in the middle of the asphalt jungle. And to boot, there was a jack hammer drilling across the street. The gas fireplace was not working. The couch was in front of the window which had the drapes drawn. I would not refer friends.

Lobby should open earlier. Bed was very saggy, only 1 VERY thin towel per person. Bathroom had open gaps above shower. Very very outdated hotel. I would NEVER stay again! See other box. I didn't find anything I liked about this hotel.

Staff was great. Giant room, space for three kids and two adults with room to breathe. Would stay again. Turn in to hotel was a little confusing at first.

It was walking distance to the Oregon Coast Aquarium and Hatfield Marine Science Centers; the main objectives of my visit to Newport. I realized later there was an eclectic mix of shops near the aquarium as well. Jo was very friendly and great to talk to; hope's she's still there when I return someday! The ice and vending machines needed a little work (stock was a problem with the latter). A few electrical outlets in the room were loose or needed replacement. These were reported to staff.

The room was larger than we expected, nice view of the water and the location was perfect for what we wanted to do while in Newport. The cleanliness of the room was questionable. Hair in the bath tub, dirty mircowave.

It was inexpensive The advertised "includes breakfast" was a muffin and hot beverage served after 8:00... which was of no use to us, even if we did consider that breakfast. The first night there were two rooms occupied on our floor and the innkeeper put us next door to each other!

I liked the location and how easy it was to find. The bed and pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. The little fan was nice but much help keeping us cool. It would have been nice to have air conditioning. The remote for the TV didn’t work very well. The switch to change channels didn’t work.

Right next to Rogue Brewery and the room was very spacious with a balcony with a view of the river and bridge. They tried to have us pay more then the reservation said, but that was corrected quickly enough. Breakfast consisted of muffins, but they were nice. WIFI didn't work.

This is a great place to stay if you like beer! We wanted to visit the Rogue Brewery and the hotel is right opposite - couldn't be a better location. Also very convenient to the Aquarium and Marine Science Center, both of which are really interesting and worth a visit. Despite being right next to highway 101, it is pretty quiet over this side of the bridge, away from downtown and Nye Beach. Views over the bay are nice. No coffee maker in rooms. Not enough shampoo packets. Towels are too small. Very limited breakfast and only from 8 til 9 am. No a/c.
