Score from 94 reviews Very good
No built in fan & the room was very "hot" (temp. outside in the 80*s). The window in the room was in dire need of being replaced & just a 'small' opening. Coffee was not available until 8:00a.m.
There was no air condioner in our room was so hot
No info on motel in rooms. Coffee served to late.8am people are up before 8am
Poor conditions. Went downhill from our stay 2 years ago
Very close to Aquarium and Science Center, major draws for families. Room nicely appointed and maintained. Friendly staff. Reasonable price.
No AC, and Newport was experiencing a heat wave. No plastic utensils available, even on request, making the mini kitchen rather unusable.
Hotel, Price, Location, Staff
Great location for our needs.
Television did not work.
No breakfast Hotel under the bridge
Staff were welcoming and helpful. The location is great.
Bed was very uncomfortable. View from our room was of a trailer park.
Location and the wonderful staff.
The vending machines [minus the ice machine] were out of stock and never did get filled. Leak developed in the room that was never handled.
It was a very clean room
The beds were so rock hard that neither my son or I got any sleep and we had a very important meeting the next morning and we were both exhausted. The wifi connection didn't even work so we couldn't prepare. It was good that we were already mostly prepared before we got there.
Good access to the bay and I5. Great view of the bridge
May not be very useful year round but no a/c in unit
The location was fabulous. Walkable to Rogue and the aquarium. The bed comfortable and the room was large.
The hotel lobby, hallways and stairs smelled really bad and the A/C was broken. Hotel good for 1 night any longer and I would be uncomfortable.
I liked that is was located close the the aquarium and not too far from the board walk to do some shopping. the rooms are clean and manager use super nice to meets the needs for my disability. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Newport, Oregon.
I liked the water pressure and that's about it.
On the front door it clearly states no pets, yet they had a dog behind the counter. The spa room was closed for repairs no notice was givin anywhere. They said it costs a lot of money to update the website. The fireplace in our room was not functioning when I called the front desk to swap rooms I was told their was none available even though when we just checked in I was told otherwise. The breakfast that was included consisted of 3 muffins cut in half and coffee that wasn't brewed. The hotel was fully booked so I think the breakfast was quite lacking. I was told breakfast would be available at 7:30 the doors did not get opened until 7:45. The staff was not friendly at all.
Location, staff, and the VCR library in the lobby! We enjoyed watching a movie instead of annoying TV shows with annoying ads!
No complaints! They don't offer breakfast but there's a sweet breakfast place within walking distance.
Good location for our purpose. Room was large and comfortable with a sofa, microwave & fridge. Small balcony with a view of the bridge, but overlooked RV park.
No coffee pot in room. Continental breakfast (and coffee) not available until 8:00 am and we had to leave by 7:00. Bed was very hard. Wi-fi did not work well.
Staff was pleasant with rooms large and clean. Bed mattress was excellent.
Property photos deceptive. Located below and nearly under the Newport bridge. Sits behind a huge trailer park. Views are of trailer park. Breakfast was a roll and coffee. No DVD, only VHS tape player on old box TV. WiFI was very, very slow. Elevator needs upgrading. Web-advertised Jacuzzi not working. Aging property for $130 per night. Lower price $30 per night or remodel the property. There are so many well located lodging choices in Newport. Hope this helps.
We are on a motorcycle trip down the coast and picked this place on a friends recommendation. It was next to the aquarium and Rogue brewery, two places we would visit. The rooms were good size and had lots of plugs for the electronics. It was quite and we slept well. Price was good for the summer.
As we were leaving and moved the night stand to unplug we found french fries laying on the floor. The grass and weeds around the place could have been cleaned up and giving it a much nicer occurrence.
Nothing at all!
Dirty sheets, hair in the broken bathtub, yellow floors and walls, incorrect check in time, broken vending machines, VCR (really??) non working fireplace (in our suite), rude desk clerk, fire alarm, back breaking old bed, just overall a horrible experience. Would not recommend!!!
It was close to the aquarium, the bridge and bay front. Not too congested nearby. The desk staff was very nice and helpful.
Bed was very firm. Vending machines were out of order. The fireplace was also not working. This was not a problem for us, but would be in the winter when it's on the sign. Didn't care much for the view of the RV park outside our window. We were hoping for a view of the bridge or the bay.
We liked the quietness of the location and the ease of getting to attractions, shops and sites to see. Liked the cookies that were set out in the evening.
No elevator available. No coffee set-up (coffee, creamer, sugar), no freezer in the frig, no extra pillows or blankets. We don't like asking for shampoo and towels.
When I first saw the hotel I was impressed and Karen who manages the hotel and works the front desk is wonderful. She full of knowledge about where to eat and what sights to catch. The rooms are large and it had a refrigerator and microwave the shower was okay as well. They did not offer breakfast. The Yaquina Inn is in Newport Oregon just down US Highway 101 from Tillamook where we visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory and the Tillamook Air Museum. New is a very pretty town but we only stayed one night so we did not get to take in the sights but we did have two wonderful dining experience. We had dinner at Georgie's Beachside Grill which provides a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean. The atmosphere was great, the food good and the view amazing. For Breakfast we tried Fishtails Café which also was an unexpected surprise. Both of these places were recommended by Karen, she know her stuff. If you have time for some antique shopping, stop by Pirate's Plunder next to the Fishtails Café I found some really interesting items there. The best thing about the Inn was Karen.
The Bed set very low to the floor and was very uncomfortable, not much of a view. RV court is in the next lot to the Inn and that was what we saw from the window in our room.
The room all together was descent. (Size)
I didn't like that what they called breakfast included was only a few muffins and coffee
Everything inside the Inn, even to the smell of the soap. Loved the pillows and comfortable bed. The price was right.
The worst breakfast of our stay up and down the Oregon coast! We heard many guests complaining about it. We made friends at the Fishtail Cafe around the corner.
Staff was nice room was decent
Vending machines and soda werent working. Beds very uncomfortable. Rips and stains on couch. Hotel needs new paint. Tv is outdated.
