No breakfast Hotel under the bridge
Staff were welcoming and helpful. The location is great.
Bed was very uncomfortable. View from our room was of a trailer park.
Location and the wonderful staff.
The vending machines [minus the ice machine] were out of stock and never did get filled. Leak developed in the room that was never handled.
It was a very clean room
The beds were so rock hard that neither my son or I got any sleep and we had a very important meeting the next morning and we were both exhausted. The wifi connection didn't even work so we couldn't prepare. It was good that we were already mostly prepared before we got there.
Good access to the bay and I5. Great view of the bridge
May not be very useful year round but no a/c in unit
The location was fabulous. Walkable to Rogue and the aquarium. The bed comfortable and the room was large.
The hotel lobby, hallways and stairs smelled really bad and the A/C was broken. Hotel good for 1 night any longer and I would be uncomfortable.
I liked that is was located close the the aquarium and not too far from the board walk to do some shopping. the rooms are clean and manager use super nice to meets the needs for my disability. I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Newport, Oregon.
Good location for our purpose. Room was large and comfortable with a sofa, microwave & fridge. Small balcony with a view of the bridge, but overlooked RV park.
No coffee pot in room. Continental breakfast (and coffee) not available until 8:00 am and we had to leave by 7:00. Bed was very hard. Wi-fi did not work well.
It was close to the aquarium, the bridge and bay front. Not too congested nearby. The desk staff was very nice and helpful.
Bed was very firm. Vending machines were out of order. The fireplace was also not working. This was not a problem for us, but would be in the winter when it's on the sign. Didn't care much for the view of the RV park outside our window. We were hoping for a view of the bridge or the bay.
We liked the quietness of the location and the ease of getting to attractions, shops and sites to see. Liked the cookies that were set out in the evening.
No elevator available. No coffee set-up (coffee, creamer, sugar), no freezer in the frig, no extra pillows or blankets. We don't like asking for shampoo and towels.
When I first saw the hotel I was impressed and Karen who manages the hotel and works the front desk is wonderful. She full of knowledge about where to eat and what sights to catch. The rooms are large and it had a refrigerator and microwave the shower was okay as well. They did not offer breakfast. The Yaquina Inn is in Newport Oregon just down US Highway 101 from Tillamook where we visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory and the Tillamook Air Museum. New is a very pretty town but we only stayed one night so we did not get to take in the sights but we did have two wonderful dining experience. We had dinner at Georgie's Beachside Grill which provides a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean. The atmosphere was great, the food good and the view amazing. For Breakfast we tried Fishtails Café which also was an unexpected surprise. Both of these places were recommended by Karen, she know her stuff. If you have time for some antique shopping, stop by Pirate's Plunder next to the Fishtails Café I found some really interesting items there. The best thing about the Inn was Karen.
The Bed set very low to the floor and was very uncomfortable, not much of a view. RV court is in the next lot to the Inn and that was what we saw from the window in our room.
Everything inside the Inn, even to the smell of the soap. Loved the pillows and comfortable bed. The price was right.
The worst breakfast of our stay up and down the Oregon coast! We heard many guests complaining about it. We made friends at the Fishtail Cafe around the corner.
Staff was nice room was decent
Vending machines and soda werent working. Beds very uncomfortable. Rips and stains on couch. Hotel needs new paint. Tv is outdated.
Room was larger than I expected. Coffee in lobby is good. Parking lot has bright lights.
We vacation in Newport each year and have stayed in many of the beach front motels that cost a lot more and aren't any nicer. If you just have to see the ocean then that's what you will have to do, however if you are like us and on the go all day and want a nice quiet place to relax for the night and save the money for play time this IS this place. Easy access to the highway and a stop light where you will need one, Newport traffic can be a challenge.Very friendly staff, I highly recommend them.
I can't think of much, the towels were a little bit small, but no worse than others we have stayed at.
need a place to stay for 2 day trip to coast, for fishing with friend price and facility fit the bill.
morning coffee was not available til 8:00 am would prefer coffee pot in room.
Nice clean, nice atmosphere, quiet, big room, comfortable....And price for summer very reasonable.
Wasn't pleased with the rv park behind us pretty noisy when sleeping. But wasn't that bad..
Staff was very friendly. Location was good.
Toliet had not been cleaned, carpet was stiff and "crunchy", breakfast was coffee and a few danishes. Fireplace out of order, vending machines out of order, spa out of order. Old spring beds. This is just a place to sleep. Spend the extra $20 to stay at the Holiday Inn next door.
Close to town, quite.
fireplace did not work, but i paid for it...
Location very near the aquarium, bay, boat docks
Bathroom light flickered, when I went downstairs to ask for maintenance, I hadto wait behinda gentleman whose toilet was running non stop. No maintenance on duty. He gort another room, I got jokingly offered a flashlight. Set the thermostat for 65, woke up in the middle of the night to a room that must have been 85
had to find access to regular but no decaf coffee very limited cont breakfast slow and dirty elevator has deteriorated
Location,availability of room,pet,parking and rates
Room had plumbing problems,no accommodations in room(no coffee maker) very noisy room, unrespectful motel guests.Poor Cable TV...Building needs to be upgraded
Really close to the bay and and aquarium
The hotel was kinda stinky inside and dirty outside. It said that the hotel had a jacuzzi but apparently it was broken and didn't have a pool or hot tub to enjoy.
Overall look of the room.
Hole in screen on window, fireplace did not work, very scratchy towels, we had replaced, with soft towels, but next day other maid put new towels out same scratchy kind. Apparently, you have to be on upper floors to get soft towels, no coffee pot, either.
