Small refrigerator in room and microwave.
Smoking in hallways. Dirty. Told carpet was 2 years old looked like 10 years.
Everything especially the staff will never stay there again
Dirty, smoke filled, just plain terrible,
An employee didn't bother picking the good room that I asked for in advance
bed comfortable bathroom clean
cramped room only one queen ben necessary
I liked the price. Really can't go wrong with $70 a night.
The mini-fridge was unplugged and defrosting on the carpet as we arrived. Worn out coil spring bed, old school TV, 1970s looking motif. You get what you pay for. This isn't a place you go if you want luxury or to enjoy the finer things about Providence. Come here if you literally just need a place to crash for a few hours.
Short drive to downtown Providence
Very unfriendly staff who charged our credit card before we arrived despite specifying on the order we would use a different card. Not helpful - had to ask them for wifi password and directions to room; information you'd expect to be told. Room was very poorly maintained with holes all over the walls, poor bathroom facilities and archaic fittings. Cleanliness was something they don't seem familiar with. Hair all over the carpet, duvet and bathroom, flies in the room, a terrible smell in the room and cigarette burns all over the furniture and upholstery (despite being non smoking room). Door locks didn't work properly, so couldn't dead-lock the door at night. Terrible night.
Availability and quick check in process.
we didndt had a car so we could acces the motel with the public bus from providence, withc was ok. 2 $ one trip with the bus. the bus is not that often though-1 or 2 per hour.
the owner didnt speack english to well so we couldnt ask him for informations etc
There was absolutely nothing that I liked about this motel. .
Besides the black mold in the shower, there was wallpaper peeling off walls, bathroom floor crusted with old crud, rug and furniture stained and dirty, cigarette smell coming through interior air vents so I had to keep the air conditioner on to try and bring in air from outside.
Filthy rooms. Paint peeling off walls. Looks like prostitutes and pimps hanging around. Room key and tv remote handed to us thru bullet proof glass! Americas best value -- never again
Room a bit dingy, but big comfy bed, had a great sleep. It had a fridge, microwave and hairdryer
Cheapest than anywhere else in the area
For a few minutes the guy tried to make me pay for my room a second time (I paid the day before)
I like the area alot of places to explore.
Bed a bit uncomfortable. Had back pains in the morning.
Wasn't too loud, nice to have a king size bed for $80. Outside did not look appealing but inside the room was better.
Not exactly the nicest of places to stay. There weren't any major problems but it's pretty run down. The front desk asks for your driver/vehicle license and has a number of police stickers all over the window. The teller is behind glass so it doesn't exactly leave you with a fuzzy feeling inside about the type of clientele that might frequent the establishment. The hallways don't smell great. The paint is peeling and it's generally a pretty rough looking establishment. I'd only recommend as a last resort or if you really need a cheap room.
Near our destination
Run down and dirty
terrible animal smell in room and bedding. Slept with cloyhes on and left after 4 or 5 hours. They wouldnt exchange the room for me when i checked in either. I have allergies that acted up.
The location was convenient for us. The price was good. The bedding was clean, though quite worn.
Everything was OLD and run down. There were tears and burns in the bed cover and carpet. They did not differentiate smoking and non-smoking, though our room did not smell too bad. WiFi was present, but weak and mostly unusable. There was no countertop in the bathroom to put anything down upon, and the fixtures were old and worn. The shower surround was newish, but looked poorly installed. There was no TP in the room at all! (It's all about the details) We had two rooms, and they each had their own unique issues. Based on this, and reading other reviews, this hotel is not very consistent. Caveat Emptor.
Everything, condoms in parking lot.filthy carpets chairs shower. Slept in our cloths on top of bedstead.need I say more!!!.
I made a confirmed reservation online for 3 days at this motel. When I got there, I gave the woman at the desk my name and creditcard and told her I had made a reservation through Booking.com. She ran my card and gave it back to me w. a receipt. On the 2nd day of my stay, there was a banging on my door and someone told me I had to get out! When I told him that I still had one more day left on my confirmed reservation, he said that I was only booked for 2 days, and had to leave immediately. At this point I dug out my receipt, and saw that I had in fact been charged for only 2 days. (When I had been given the receipt at check in, I didn’t examine it to verify the amount --- that had never been an issue in the past --- I just put it in my wallet with my returned creditcard.) I had booked this motel because of the bargain price, and fully understand that the amenities in a place that charges $70 per night are not going to be the same as a place that charges $700 per night. I have no problem with that… I was just looking for an easygoing place to get some rest, nothing fancy. But I don’t expect to be thrown out when I have a confirmed reservation. If the person who came banging (and I mean BANGING, not knocking) on my door had taken the attitude Oh, there must be some kind of mistake, come down to the front desk and we’ll straighten this out, that would have been fine. The price could have been adjusted; I would have paid for the 3rd night, and gone about my business. But the attitude was Get out NOW – or else! When I pointed out that I had made a reservation for 3 days, not 2, the woman who checked me in said that I had told her when I arrived to only charge me for 2 days. That is not true! What the issue is I can only guess. Maybe the person just made a mistake (by charging me for only 2 days instead of 3) and didn’t want to admit it; or maybe they didn’t like the fact that Booking.
THERE WERE DRUNKS AND FIGHTING ALL NIGHT, BLOOD ALL OVER THE OFFICE DOOR! I WOKE UP WITH A MILLION HUGE BITES ALL OVER MY BODY WHICH COST ME A WEEK OF WORK!!
The location is good with easy access to commercial centres and eatries
The Wifi signal strength in my room was very weak hence have difficulty in communication. In most cases, i have to come out to the passage way or stair case to communicate with my family.
Price, room components
Smell of Smoke in the halls, Coffee not available early morning
cheap Had microwave and mini fridge Ample drawer space
reeked of smoke smell - didn't get the requested non-smoking room; cigarette holes all over the bedspreads. Chairs stained and filthy; plaster patches all over the walls; space for hanging clothes had no rod; looked like no maintenance work has been done in 15-20 years. I dropped something behind the bureau and when I looked back and saw all the dirt, grime and trash, I decided to leave it there.
