Days Inn Queensbury  

The hotel was in a transition period from one chain to another. The rooms were in the midst of being remodeled, so the room was mostly fresh and cheerful (other than an old bedspread) and clean and comfortable. The hotel clerk was an absolute ditz but the owner who appeared later was truly lovely and clearly wanted to accommodate. I would give the place another try to see if it will improve after the transition... and the price was very very good for a budget.

Irregularities in the service - rather big ant problem, air conditioner was odd. I would give the place one more try to see if it will improve.

The bed was comfortable

I requested a refrig upon booking, then called & was told yes..but no refrig was there. Finally got one but next am I saw it stopped. The woman at desk said I should have checked it when man brought it in..NOT My job he should have made sure it was ok. When I got there desk lamp not plugged in so I moved the side table to plug it in again not my job & the saw that the maids never move things to clean. Discusting!!! The 'heater' blows cold air 1/2 the time..No ice maker have to ask at desk.....no warning when they were working on cable {middle of show I was watching} & no micro {guess I should have asked} I would not recommed this place nor will I return next YEAR.....not clean also very noisy...could hear neighbors in next room talking.........HATED My stay even the outside was dirty

Cheap one night hotel.

Dirty place. When we first arrive, the bathroom's mirror was cover with spots. The linen had yellow old spots. The towels had burned spots...cheap price, but spend a little more and get a clean place

It was a decent hotel. Comfortable, and at a fair price. Bathroom was clean but for a few cobwebs and spiders in the upper corners of the ceiling.

The only good thing was the night staff, Mr. Stevens was very helpful, and tried to make things better ... even brought some coffee for the coffee pot.

The room was not as described. Smelly. Bathroom not clean - dirty tiles. 5 items were plugged into one outlet ... microwave, refrigerator, humidifier, 2 lamps - On the other side one lamp had no plug! Coffee maker had no filters & no coffee. Breakfast was without appeal - 1 gal. Milk sat on counter - not in ice bucket. Orange "juice" was a sweet artificial drink. Room not as pictured. I left a down pillow & case (rm. 212) called - was told they would send it... 3 wks. Later it has not yet been returned. I will not stay there again - even for the price.

Nothing. Our room was dirty. Bed linens were clean looking, but the towels were horrible-- not only old and dingy, but had fresh looking stains post-washing. Cobwebs with dead spider, mold in tub around fixtures and in tile, brown water came out of the faucet when turned on shower water. chair had a large slit in the seat. Old and dingy, but also dirty. Desk clerk kids rough-housing in the lobby when we checked in. Location outside of Glens Falls near highway, not close to much of anything. Skeevy for $132. Ridiculous price for what you get. Chosen as not the cheapest because this is what you would expect in the cheapes. Chosen as mid-range in pricing.

Allowed for our small pets, the staff was very courteous and it was a great deal.

Can use a renovation, but that is it. Still a great deal for a place to sleep and it was clean

Room was not maintained properly. Sheets were of the very cheapest kind, tv was old, bathroom was small, there was some kind pf smell in the air, the bed was not firm, the room was small and gave off an "unclean" kind of vibe. There was 1 night table and it wasn't even next to the bed! Lastly, there was not even a closet where we might have hung our clothes! I have to say that I stayed there with my girlfriend and was embarrassed by my choice of accommodations! It appears that the owners have either chosen not to invest in the property or are not able to. This is definitely not America's best Inn. This place does not warrant paying even the discounted price! I have stayed at much better places for the same price. Definitely never staying there again.

thing,, the rug in the room was not vacuumed ,there was a smell of smoke in the room

First of all when we got there I noticed the desk clerk processed my credit card twice, and when I asked him about it he said that one time it is for authorization and the 2nd time is for the charge,well that never happened to me so the next morning I called my credit card company and indeed it was charged 2 times but for different prices. That morning another clerk looked and saw the same thing but has been corrected I think. I don't believe we will go there again.

The room was "slightly' musty. i enjoyed my second cup of coffee with the door open, and sunshine coming in !

flies in the rm. foul smell of the rm. when I 1st went in. I aired it out, and then it was fine.

Non-smoking room smelled of stale smoke throughout the room and never got better. It was a very rancid smell - the rate we paid was no better than other motels we have stayed in e.g. Red Roof Inn, Quality Inn, etc, but the accomodations at Americas Best were by far the poorest. I would not recommend nor would I ever stay in one of these motels again - a waste of money!

Honestly this place should be condemned!! It was a Horrific experience!

The shower was amazing and the beds were pretty comfortable.

The price was a bit steep for the condition of the room. Dated furniture, cigarette burns in the linens, and quite a bit of dirt/grime throughout the room. There were french fries around one of the beds...we did not order or eat any french fries!

The room was disgusting. It smelled horrible, there were old potato chips on on of the beds and floor. There were flea like bugs on the mirror and flies. If I had another option at the time, I would not have stayed there.

Was economical. Guess you get what you pay for...

I had req on my reservation a 1st floor room & spoke to someone twice to confirm. Arrived & was told they could not put me in one until they say I used crutches! Don't count on Wi-Fi.. Poor & very location dependant within facility. Not well cleaned. Very sparse amenities. Female owner not very friendly but evening clerk went out of his way to assist/accommodate us!!

The Americas Best Inn in Queensbury is a good rest stop when looking to spending some time in the Adriondacks. Ideally situated between Saratoga and Lake George its is close to hicking trials, horsing stables and boating resorts to enjoy the beautifully scenery of the place. It is located in a charming town where we were welcome in all the places we visited. We were warminly welcomed by the owner who runs a very decent establishment for the price paid. It's a good value. Plus the hotel is near a very intersting café "Carl R's" which serves good food in a musical ambiance. Overall a great experience. Feeling welcomed and getting to connect with people becomes rare nowadays... I would definitely recommend the place.
