The staff at the reception The breakfast Wi fi slow
Able to walk to a good restaurant and an ice cream treat. First visit to San Carlos.
Good Location. The Management and Room Staff were professional, friendly and accomodating. The bed is comfortable and the rooms are clean. The High Speed Wi-Fi is good. Good Television channel selections, decent continental breakfast.
Having a tough time finding anything I didn't like except the occasional loud train noise. I generally like the sound of a train but there is an occasional real noisy freight train that is louder than the regulars....
waterpressure in the shower, air conditioner was very good. Lighting was good.
sink did not drain, room need paint and carpets needed to be replaced
Train running across the street several times
The room was very clean. The staff was helpful.
The room was incredibly musty and smelled like chemicals. It took most of the night to air it out. Will not be able to stay there again.
Good value for money.
Not possible to close the curtains and turn on the aircon. The key cards did not work well.
Front desk attendant/manager was not friendly. He was put out by my request for a copy of the final bill in the morning. The continental breakfast was inadequate and didn't start until 7am, which is too late for business travelers. The "very beautiful room" which I was given had multiple windows that were broken and would not shut completely.
Noisy location on El Camino Real. Staff has English language deficient.
the price the best price I could find for that area room was clean the entire facility was neat the room could use a little tlc
the tv control was confusing to operate and the room air conditioner controls were also difficult to set
Clean and quiet
I booked here due to location and price during busy summer months when area hotels seem to double their rates. It appears modest and I was concerned about proximity to train tracks but location is central to the area. It turns out the commuter trains do not run at night so I slept great. It was very quiet and very clean. Small modest room but had everything I needed and was quite comfortable. Only issue is limited parking in front. But there is more parking in back. Overall I would stay here again.
Limited parking in front near room. Otherwise it was fine.
This was a nice place to stay for a reasonable price. It is on the El Camino next to a Trader Joe's and Walgreens. There are no extras but the price and location were great. The bay area is very expensive and this is a great bargain. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice.
The price was affordable for my budget and I felt safe in the location.
The chairs were stained.
I like the hotel, it was super clean, comfortable, it seems small, but the room was actually quite good, free wi fi.
The room and lobby were clean. The price was better than other hotels in the area. The amenities included free wifi, a microwave, a refrigerator, a hair dryer, an iron and board, a safe, great t.v. and remote with a guide to local programming (+ HBO), continental breakfast, and parking next to the room. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Other patrons hung outside of the rooms smoking and lingering. The hotel is a "strip" type hotel on a main street (El Camino Real) with no grounds except a parking lot, but a designated smoking and "hang out" area would have created a better sense of security.
One word - BEDBUGS!
Convenient location for our needs on this trip.
Generally fair level of the hotel. We stayed since all other hotels in the area were unavailable.
Close to airport
Noisy ...struggled to get luggage upstairs .Very loud starting as early as 5am
Location, clean, comfortable
My second round was much nicer.
Didn't like the fact that my first room had problems and air circulation and needed to be moved to another room. Additionally, the spa is literally nonexistent the hot tub the zoning modestly hot and the sauna was totally dysfunctional.
Nest to Trader Joes. Good shopping. It was clean
Office not open till 7 in the AM Breakfast was poor choice. Towels were small and poor quality
The couple that manage the hotel are wonderful. Helpful and so sweet. We had no issues of any sort while we were there, the room was properly cleaned every day, the wi-fi worked well (am important issue for myself) The breakfast was nice and the coffee was good. We will definitely return.
The room smelled like there was something dead in there. Air conditioner was way to noisy, they room was so small you couldn't use the table and chairs. The breakfast was the least we have ever seen. We travel alot and won't try America' best again. Definitely. The wrong name .
Good wi-fi connection, close to stores.
Window of our room was replaced with no warning, inconveniencing us. Sink faucet broke and bulb went out in a main light. Our requests to fix these problems were ignored though we stayed there for 15 nights. We had to practically beg the staff to clean our room and make the beds. Room was cramped and uncomfortable. How anyone could have given this place a high rating escapes me.
