The room was well decorated, and quite clean.

The breakfast was too simple.

Quiet,clean, comfortable with Refrigerator , microwave , flatscreen TV and free wi-fi! that's all a couple of golfers require. Would defininately stay there again! It makes those Monterey peninsula green fees a little easier to take!

The hot tub was down, I didn't ask, just assumed it was down for maintenance.

Location

I booked this hotel because of the excellent rating but do not understand why it is rated that high. The room was noisy, the walls sem to be like paper. You could hear everything from outside and the neighboring rooms. The refrigerator was right next to the bed and sounded like it had a diesel generator built in. Yes the room was renewed but whoever did this did a very poor job. So even for this location the room is overpriced.

not sure but the elder gentleman who checked me in, was grumpy and a bit judgemental, seem to me he assumed I smoked cuz of the statement not a question he made towards me... whom ever they contracted to assist with refurbing the rooms did an awful job there was over pain runners all over the mirror, the rude maid came 2 days in a row pounding on the door, would I recommend this place?probably not, if some one asked me directly, about the place i would tell them is doable for one night

When I walked into the lobby I was greeted very friendly and I was very welcomed by the manager Neil and the desk clerk named Raki. They made sure that I needed everything in order to have a comfortable happy stay. They would call my rooms at times to ask if I needed any assistance and that was very kind of them. The rooms were very clean and there was a microwave, fridge, and coffee pots in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. I enjoyed the morning continental breakfast that was offered. I am new to this town so if I asked the manager about the town he gave me very detailed answers and directions which was greatly appreciated. Overall, I would definitely come stay here again if I ever visited and I would recommend it to others as well. Thank you Neil and Raki for an amazing experience.

La situation géographique.Nous étions dans une chambre spacieuse,loin de la route;c'était appréciable,pour le calme.la literie est ferme.

La salle de bains manque de crochets pour les serviettes,justement ces serviettes sont limites propres,elles étaient plutôt grises et élimées .la porte était gonflée par l'humidité. Il fallait se lever pour éteindre la TV car la télécommande ne marche pas.

The room is lovely. The hotel was awesome, super family friendly vaery safe and secure. The staff was were accommodating and the location was great. we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our firends. We had a great time.

The woman who worked the front desk was nice. Free parking.

No insulation between adjoining rooms in combination with tile floors - could hear every single word the neighbors said at full volume as if the were in bed with me. I tried stuffing a towel under the door and it did nothing to stop the echo. Extremely weak water pressure in the shower, unusually so. Someone punched in the bathroom door and it was "repaired" with wood grain tape. Red splotches/smears on bathroom walls.

I really liked the value for such great rooms,I booked a regular room but then I was interested in the suite with a fireplace and a jacuzzi tub and the manager Neil did the necessary to accommodate my stay, I just had to pay a little extra but it was worth it, I loved the suite. And the staff was really helpful in giving me directions as well as suggestions for diner. The rooms are comfortable and clean!!! Tha manager was very friendly, I will defenetly come back to the Red Roof Inn

It was pretty cheap for the location. Staff was very friendly.

Invasion of ants. Having to go through four rooms before finding a clean room. Staff offered us to switch rooms, but we were leaving next night, it was moot point.

Beds were good, staff was friendly, room and common areas clean. Solid two-star experience -- not more, not less. Price seems in line with prices in the area.

Room slightly musty (typical of Monterey area budget locations), location not walking distance to sights

When i walked into the lobby to check-in, i was very welcomed by the manager and his wife. They were very friendly, calm and nice. They even showed me the room before i checked in to make sure i was satisfied with the room. The lobby was very clean and the staff was very helpful if i had any questions about the town. I asked a few questions about the town and they gave me many details and even handed me a few flyers to see where i would like to go. I loved the breakfast that they offer, because that is something customers need when they stay at a hotel. The rooms were extremely clean and were given at a fair price. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was extremely clean. I was very satisfied with the way the room had looked. The hotel in general looked nice from the inside to the outside. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend others to stay here as well if they come to visit the town.
